"North of here. South and west leads to nothing but ocean. East are the mountains which barred what used to be a city from its neighbor Moon Valley."
The ocean actually didn't sound half bad to Kara right now. She was drenched in sweat, not used to the true heat of the area thanks to being born and living most of her life invulnerable to most things but she had to keep on. No matter what. Genesis was still in danger of the Netherrealm and she had to get through the desert to make it to Aircano. Or Kari if she chose that route.
"So your choice. Lead them to the ocean or cause a rock slide with the mountains. Either way we need to head north."

If the man could provide them with a good distraction Magoichi would be thankful for that, she needed to get out of here now that the demons had overrun this place, never before had she thought about running away. But then again never before did she have to face actual demons in battle...she had faced the Demon King once and that was enough to convince her that if someone like the Demon King had similar powers to demons then she would be better off running away.
"Personally I prefer the rock slide, if they're heavy enough it'll take them days to sift through all that rubble. Unless of course they choose to simply blast them with whatever power they possess," Magoichi commented.

Neko was lost... no beyond lost. Again she had made the mistake of trusting Qeustas' judgement on direction. And once again they were lost. At least seeing something creepy and inhuman that was likely to kill her was a nice blast from the past. However the sheer numbers were a bit much for her to handle, so she crept carefully in the shadows, her Nekomata accompanying her. She peered around a corner and was surprised to see people. Or at least most of them seemed like people. Creeping up to the closest one, a girl (Magoichi) and tapped her lightly on the shoulder. "Hey" she greeted softly. "Sorry to bother you guys but uh, did I hear you say you knew a way out of here?" The Nekomata drew up beside her, gold eyes flickering about the group expectantly as she stood with a hand on her hip.

"Huh. Rockslide...or leave 'em by the sea." He rubbed at his masked chin as if thinking over the choices, though he had already made his decision. "Yeah, think I can do something with those choices." He rolled his shoulder, casting a glance to the mountains. "Might even be fun..." He shook his head, and stood upright, all set to be off on his task.
He paused at the appearance of yet someone else. Seeing that he had nothing to bother with in regards to them, he just shrugged lightly, and vanished in yet another swirling cloud of smoke.
Almost immediately a series of small tremors rocked the area, originating some several dozen feet away and receding toward the east, and the dull rumble of shifting rubble and what was left of buildings collapsing. When he went to work, he went to work quickly.

Kara saw Bola off and then turned around just in time to see Neko. They were starting to attract a crowd as just then Bola went to work and now was their chance to get out of here.
"Yes we do but there's no time to explain. Just follow us."
Kara darted off, the demons unable to follow them now that they had to deal with Bola. Seeing the caves up ahead that provided them with some much needed shelter as she led them inside of it. Immediately finding themselves shrouded in darkness. But not for long as Kara felt around and grabbed a torch setting itself a light as she cast away the darkness in front of them.
"At the other side of this cave should lead us on the road to Aircano. Hopefully the Netherrealm hasn't taken the city."

"You seem lost, my child."
Kara's torch would cast away the darkness and reveal a female hooded figure who's face was covered, arms tucked within ebony black robes as she stood before the three like that of a statue. Had it not been for the woman speaking up they would have had no other prior warning that she was there before the light of the flames cast their light on her.
"What bring you to these caves?"

Neko exchanged a glance with her blade, as if that wasnt strange enough, and followed the pair wordlessly. The cave gave her the chills, but she kept her comments to herself for once. When the woman spoke Neko jumped a little, and her Nekomata yowled in surprise and hid behind her master. "Gee you sure came outta nowhere.." Neko muttered, grimacing. She didn't like being snuck up on.

Kara let out a scream when she saw Lamia, taking a step back and holding the torch forward in case the hooded woman thought to make an advance on them so she could ward her off with the flames. She was beginning to miss her X-Ray Vision. If she had it she could easily see right through the hood and get a look at her face. But nay, she'd have to get that the old fashion way.
"Who are you? What do you want? Show your face!"

"Do not be afraid. I mean you no harm."
Lamia moved her hands to her hood and slowly lowered it. Exposing her long chocolate brown hair, blue eyes and pointed elf ears as she looked among the three individuals who had wandered into the cave.
"My name is Lamia. A member of the Way of Veneficus. Magic. There's a temple not much deeper into the cave where we practice and meditate daily that you can rest at before continuing on your way. By the looks of it I can tell you're exhausted."

Great...more people. It didn't irk Magoichi that they had more people with them, in fact she was starting to think they probably would need all the help they can get, but she hoped that the fact they were a bigger group now meant that would be a bigger target for the demons.
However Magoichi was not ready to face an elf, she raised an eyebrow in questioning, but then reverted to her usual demeanour. There was no need to be suspicious, the elven woman seemed to be friendly though what is she doing in a place like this? "We are a bit tired, we have been running from the demons that have taken over a small town, I am here to escort any survivors back to safety," Magoichi replied, "we would appreciate any help you can give us."

"I know all about the Way of Veneficus. I know that you were responsible for Lucifer's ascension into a god and the Nightmare originally being set loose on the realm. I also know that a handful of you worship Veran like a god and I have no interest in being anywhere near a temple full of Arashi worshipers now get out of my way."
Though Lamia was only trying to help them, and Kara had no indication that she was among the group of her people who began to worship Veran, her hatred and anger towards the Arashi was made apparent with her sudden outburst. In that moment the face of the Ghost of Legion; Tajna Rasha appeared in her mind and vanished just as quickly. Causing all the color still left in the woman's cheeks to be sucked dry as she wondered where such an image came from. Kara wasn't even thinking about the Ghost and then, just like that, he appeared in her mind only to vanish. Goosebumps ran across her skin soon after the fact as her mind started to slowly piece together the omen that was the Ghost's face.
"No..."

Neko didn't like the sounds of all this. Or at least what little of the conversation she could follow. Feeling a little lost, she kept her thoughts to herself. She was half tempted to leave, but the prospect of the unknown kept her close to this group. Nekomata seemed on edge, so Neko approached her demon and held out the device on her arm. "How about you take a little rest?" she advised the demon as it shifted into a formless light before being absorbed into the arm terminal. Turning back to the group, Neko kept a bit of distance from them but listened as far as she could follow, leaning against the cave wall as she whispered to her sword. "What do you make of all this Questas?" The sword made no effort to reply, the ancient blade as lost as its master.

Lamia offered a kind smile to Magoichi who was all too willing to accept her offer and then a frown at Kara's outburst. She was about to say something until she noticed how pale the woman was all of a sudden. Quietly talking to herself as if she sensed a disturbance coming elsewhere that had nothing to do with this conversation. Lamia shook the thoughts away from her own mind and went about easing Kara's doubts.
"I am impress you know so much about my people. Even the history books and ancient scrolls do not have information on our dealings with Lucifer and the First Aspect. I assure you though that me and my coven have nothing to do with that house. I'd be honestly surprise if there are still any worshipers of the First Aspect left. Many of his followers would be dead now. I can assure you we have remained pure to the faith."

Kara noticed the frown now present on Lamia's face causing the former Woman of Steel to feel guilty for her earlier outburst. Here she was just trying to lend a helping hand and Kara found herself as much of a skeptic as the people who were around her during her days as Superwoman.
"Forgive me. I did not mean to sound so cruel. I've had a rough day and I got this feeling it's going to get worse. Please, take us to your temple. I am sure all of us could use a good rest before continuing any further."
It would also give them all time to get better acquainted with each other if they were going to travel together.

Magoichi turned to Kara when she began to spite the elven woman, saying something about worshiping some god, Magoichi was never a religious person. Although there were many in Japan that worshiped the various Shinto Gods and Goddesses as well as the Buddhas Magoichi had never really taken it to pray to them. She really had no use for them, a battle was not won because the winning side were blessed by the various deities, but through superior weapons and tactics. That was the main principle that Magoichi followed, their superior weapons was one of the main reasons why the Saika Renegades were feared throughout all of Japan.
However she had never cruelly spite someone's religion as much as Kara had, but Magoichi said nothing nor did she show any sign that she was bothered by what Kara had said. She just wondered what happened in the woman's life that led her to stay this, she did apologise for her words saying she was tired and that things weren't going to get better before agreeing to go to the temple as Magoichi followed them.
