[Kara]

When Kara awoke amidst the warm desert sand underneath the hot burning suns she could feel EVERY bone in her body aching in pain unlike she's ever felt before confirming the terrible fact that her invulnerability was no more. Her hands clenched the black sand and she released a loud cry of agony as she slowly pushed herself up to her hands and knees. Her eyes looked around to see the once beautiful desert empire in nothing but ruin. Smoke rising up into the blood red sky from the ashes and as she got up to her feet, barely able to stand from the weakness in her body, her eyes saw the demons that now swarmed this place to keep it protected for rebuilding purposes after Ranko conquered the land.

She stumbled back, doing her best not to fall and cause more harm to herself while the demons spotted her and closed in. Following the release of pain would be fear as her body shook and heart beat faster than it ever has before as she ran while clenching her chest. Not able to breathe properly at how fast her heart rate was moving. Before now she never had to deal with this. She never learned how to take deep breaths. But she knew how to run. Kara ran down the desert sand completely bare foot, getting sand caught between her toes as she wished she could burst off in speeds the demons were unable to follow but they were already gaining on her. Surrounding her as she tripped and fell into the ground. Tears swelling up her eyes as she looked back helplessly at the demons that now towered over her with burning red eyes.

"Tch...even in this world ruin is everywhere" she said to herself as she witnessed the ruin of the city that once stood here. She knew that the Demon Army was running rampant in the South-West of the land but she didn't think it would be this bad, they truly were worthy of being called a demon army, not even Nobunaga had been this ruthless as he allowed at least a few survivors to tell the tale of what had happened here.

She was here simply because Integra had asked her to investigate a recent attack on a desert empire, Magoichi had been to the desert once to fight against Amago Haruhisa and that had been an annoying battle. Captuing his bases just to get a clear vision of if he was here or not, took a better part of a day before Magoichi was able to shoot him and even then he only escaped from the battle and never bothered them again.

But this place would have been beautiful if it had not been conqueroed as she then caught sight of something passing her by. She quickly took out her revolver anticipating an attack that never came but she quickly moved from one ruined building to the next as she then heard someone move and fall as she peered from a corner and saw a lone female being towered by several demon as Magoichi wondered what to do now, she couldn't just simply leave the girl alone at the mercy of those demons, but if she attacked them now then they would surely go after her.

She closed her eyes thinking what would her mentor would have done, if she had her men here then they could have covered her while she grabbed the girl. But since they weren't here she would have to do this alone, she took out her machine gun as she then went and fired on the demons as they screeched and fell back against the foreign bullets as she moved forward while firing, reloading briefly but quickly before firing again, when she was near the girl she grabbed her hand and without a word quickly ran, "Hurry we have to get out of here" she said.

One by one Kara watched the demons fall from gunshots. She didn't have a lot of time to question the matter as the shooter herself grabbed her by the hand and took off, getting her away from the demons that began to pursue them. Ironic. Normally she was the one rushing in to save the day and now she was the damsel in distress in need of rescuing. How the mighty have fallen. Pain still screaming through her body as she ran, even so Kara looked back to the ruins and felt the need to fight.

"W-we have to do something. We can't just leave the place looking like this."

Magoichi was right, by this time demons would be swarming all over the place, she would have to be careful from now on. No doubt her little fight attracted a lot of attention as she pulled into a deserted building just as a few demons rushed by, "We'll just have to be careful that no one spots us...it shouldn't be that hard to get out of here" she said as she looked at the girl, "what's your name?" she asked more out of curiosity then anything else.

[Kara]

Already fatigued, Kara sat down after they entered the abandoned building, catching up with her breath as she looked up at the woman who had just saved her life from being taken away from her a third time. The Creator couldn't have chosen a worse place to stick her in after bringing her back to life.

"Kara. My name is Kara. I-I need to find my friends."

Knowing that their best means of escape was through the ships that only meant they could stop in five possible spots. The island, Moon Valley, Hallowton, Kari or Isafaro. The island wouldn't help them against the Nethereralm, Moon Valley was taken by demons and Isafaro was Isafaro. Meaning the only place they would have left to go would be either Kari or Hallowton. Since Kari was the closest city from Jherrazad she would go there first and continue on to Hallowton if they weren't there.

"They're most likely in Kari right now. I have to get there as quickly as possible."

Magoichi nodded at Kara’s name, the problem now lay not in getting Kara to her friends, but more importantly how they were going to get out of here without getting killed. It was clear that this town has already been overrun by the demons and therefore she cannot hope that there would be some survivors who would be able to help them. She listened to Kara as she said that her friends might be in Kari as Magoichi nodded, ”There is a detachment of Wild Geese down there if I remember correctly” she said before looking at Kara, ”do not worry about your friend, I’m sure that they are safe, we should concentrate on getting out of here…do you know any way we can leave this place undetected?” she asked.

[Kara]

"Wild what?"

Kara was unfamiliar with the Wild Geese or any part of Hellsing as she was too busy with preparing for the demon attack on Jherrazad to have learned about the organization while she was still the goddess of Jherra. When she asked if she knew a way out of here she thought long and hard as she remembered the various caves within the region.

"There should be a cave near here that we can cut through. We should be able to lose them in one of those."

[Mewtwo]

"Wild Geese, they're a mercenary group under employment of Hellsing, I'm kind of been put in their group as well. They're well trained and I'm sure that they would be able to defeat this motley group of demons, but seeing as how you and I are alone I doubt we can do anything. And besides I don't want to see if they've brought any more comrades with them" Magoichi explained as she took a peek out the corner and saw that it was clear before pulling Kara to the next building as they took cover.

She then heard that there was a cave that would allow them to get out of this situation as she looked at Kara, "A cave? Hmm...it's risky since if we get caught we won't have anywhere to run to, but I do think it is our best shot of getting out of here as fast as possible. Show me where it is."

Well, well, what was all this, then? From the look of things, some poor soul had gone and gotten themselves wrapped up in something quite unpleasant. He'd been lurking around long enough to catch wind of the fact they were called demons, and that they were definitely not the most friendly folks out there, but not much else. They were tough and persistent, but nothing to really worry over individually if you were careful about it.

Too bad they werent' exactly individual here.

He had thought for a moment of intervening to lend a hand when the woman had initially been in a bind, but that had taken care of itself quickly enough. And the grace period had lasted all of a few seconds befre they were in a bind again. Needed to get to a cave, but without getting themselves torn to pieces or trapped along the way....yeah that might be something of a problem.

.....unless he decided to climb down off of his lazy throne.

"Hey. You two look like you could use a hand." The voice would seem to come from no clear source, even though it would seem like whoever was speaking was standing right next to Kara and Magoichi. Only a short second later, a swirling cloud of white mist funneled into sight and as it faded, there was Bola, lounging in the air as he always did, arms draped lazily across his chest. "I think maybe I can give a hand, if you'd care for it. I tend to be good at causing distractions."

[Kara]

"Hellsing?"

Kara shook her head.

"You can explain later when we're alone."

Kara followed Magoichi to the next building, keeping an eye out for any threat at all from all around them. The demons had split up in two separate group one covering the east and west of their position. Lucky for them there was enough ruined buildings to use as cover to sneak through so on the cue to lead the way Kara stood up, staying hunched down of course, and began leading the way but didn't get two feet forward before a wild Bolo appeared and spoke to them.

"What th-? Who th-? Get down."

So the woman didn't know about Hellsing, well that was to be expected, as Magoichi continued to cover both herself and the woman while going from one cover to the next. The demons were searching for them hard and Magoichi had to move quickly in order to avoid detection, it seemed like that they might be able to get out of here without getting detected before a voice spoke to them. Magoichi immediately pointed her revolvers at the man, a strange man, and looked at him directly, "Who are you and what are you doing here?" she asked.

It was only after he showed himself he realized that he was perhaps a little...obvious. He was floating in what would normally be plain sight. What was left of the buildings provided some cover from searching eyes, but a quick glance about with long-practiced eyes told him he had best take the hint to get down. And he would have done just that, had he not found himself at gunpoint.

"Hey, hey, that's not necessary." He shrugged, shaking his head before once more vanishing in a swirl of white smoke. "If you're worried about me attacking, don't be." He reappeared once more, this time with both feet fimrly on the ground. He was leaning against a wall, well out of sight. "If I had any plans to do that, I would have." He gestured idly at the general area. "As for what I'm doing here, well... Happened to be passing by, saw you looked like you could use a hand. I happen to be good at causing distractions, and could get all of these pests out of your way to give you a clean shot."

He skirted, perhaps not so subtly, the question of who he was. "Or I could just go on my way, your call."

[Kara]

"Save your revolvers for the demons."

Kara told Magoichi as she looked Bola over, spinning around when he vanished into smoke only to reappear. He wasn't a threat, the demons were closing in and he was about to leave. The choice was obvious.

"Wait. Can you keep the demons off our backs long enough for us to reach the caves?"

[Mewtwo]

Magoichi holstered her revolvers as she looked at Bolo, he could be useful in having them out of here, but right now what she needed was a plan. Not just people as Kara gave a suggestion, if they made it to the cave then Kara could get them to safety however at the same time it could also trap them inside the cave and have them driven to a corner. But it was their only chance of getting out of here as she peeked out of the corner to see if the demons were getting closer to them, 'Alright, let's get out of here. If you can cover us then you can follow me back to safety" Magoichi replied.

[Cap'n Failz]

He let out a mild chuckle at the question directed to him. "Causing distractions happens to be a specialty of mine. I could keep 'em occupied for days if I had to." He shrugged. "Just say which direction these caves are and I'll get these demons of yours to go the opposite way."

Had he really fallen this low? A few years ago he would've just passed this over and not given it any thought. Klaymoor wouldn't be happy about this little display. Not one bit.
