Altaïr blinked away the blinding light. His eyes found the Apple of Eden, a golden orb-like object, unscathed beneath the tip of his sword. The assassin's mind felt muddled as he took in his surroundings. As he stooped to retrieve the Apple he studied the strange alley, the cool night wind and the strange sounds coming from this unfamiliar city. Placing the object in a pocket close to his breast, he decided upon his usual course of action. He turned and began to climb the wall. Higher and higher he climbed the incredibly tall building. As he reached the pointed roof of the spire he hung lightly from the pole that pierced from the point. Suddenly the city changed and in a blink of an eye it rippled like the oceans waves. Though the image faltered he was certainly facing the familiar city of Damascus. Shaking his head he peered over the edge at the far below ground. Spotting a cart of hay he let go and began to dive. The illusion suddenly shattered and Altaïr was now plummeting towards solid ground. With an uncharacteristic oath he scrambled unsuccessfully for a hold.

She had decided a change was needed. At least for a little while. Enough of just tracking people down and then killing them for amusement. Why not lure them away to follow her willingly? So, a change of clothing had been in order. She had changed from her usual black and red clothing to the gold colored short dress, showing her long red legs with white stripes decorating it. Honestly, she kind of enjoyed the choker around her neck. She kind of missed having one from back in the day. Ira ran her hand over the necklace, decorated to look almost like piled shards of stained glass window. And all was about to go as planned. At least until, something told her to look upwards. A falling person. Awesome. Ira rolled her eyes. At least she was in a merciful mood at the moment. As it looked like he was about to hit the ground, Ira raised a hand, catching him with the Force, leaving him hanging in the air for a moment before letting go of him, only a couple of feet off the ground. "Look, if you're going to jump from buildings, you need to learn how to do it right."

Altaïrs eyes widened as his fall stopped short and he was placed gently on his feet by an invisible force. Masking his surprise he turned to the girl, the only sign of his sudden surprise a slight parting of his lips. He avoided her question, studying the obviously inhuman girl with a gaze well hidden in the shadows ofhis hood. When he finally spoke it was in heavily accented English. "Who are you?" His Arabic voice was soft spoken but fierce, and matched him well.

"Name's Ira. *Ira looked him over and shrugged her shoulders. She had seen odder outfits she supposed. She raised a hand to her neck, gently running her fingers over the choker.
"And what are you doing just apparently jumping off of buildings? Generally, means a suicide wish. If you have one, I'm sorry for interferring."

Altaïr didn't look too inclined to answer her, though he supposed he owed her his life. Still he kept his words cryptic. "I was... Distracted. I assumed I had a softer landing in wait. I assumed incorrectly"

Ira just stared flately towards Altair with her yellow-orange eyes, obviously unamused.
"Look, generally, when you're jumping off of skyscrappers and tall buildings - there isn't such a thing as soft landings. That's what we call being stupid." Ira shook her head and moved forward. "You're welcome, by the way. A thank you would be appreciated next time. And just learning how to use the force to push even would help you out a bit more. That way if you do want to dive off of the buildings, you can soften it yourself without relying on others or 'softer landings'. Make it yourself."

Altaïr grit his teeth and seethed. "I asked not for your assistance. I could have managed myself." He bit back the urge to call her demon. No doubt it would end badly. He turned from her in time to see a familiar horse approach. "Badr!" He pronounced the name 'Bah-deer' asa breath of delight. Muttering soft words in Arabic he stroked the horses neck lightly. In remembering the woman's presence he turned to her. "This.... He hesitated as he studied the buildings. "...city... What name it is?"

"Yeah, would've managed just fine as a splat on the ground. Sounds like a good idea. Arrogant son of a..." Ira muttered shaking her head, turning away. Whatever. She had other people to go ahead and bother, other prey to lure away. Other people to feast upon as their fear fueled her.
And then he had the nerve to start asking questions as she was walking away. She stopped in her place and rolled her eyes. Really? Ira sighed.
"If you can manage just fine, and aren't appreciative of my help, then maybe you can find it out for yoruself. You know, I could've let you fall and died. I could have saved you to take you for myself, to satisfy my needs and my wants. But I didn't. I decided to be nice. My bad, you arrangant," her word choice surely was not proper, however expressed how she felt Altair was essentially a donkey.
"Find it out on your own."

Altaïr bit back some choice words. Wherever he was, he was an outsider. It would be best for him to remember that. Looking as if it took much effort he apologized. "I have...perhaps judged too rashly... You have offered your assistance, and I suppose I am greatful." He grunted, fixing the saddle of his horse.

Awh. Seemed she had struck a nerve to a degree. Cute.
Ira pivoted to face Altair easily, despite her wearing heels at the moment.
"And would it hurt a little to be at least somewhat polite when asking for information? Or do you always like to do things the hard way?

Altaïrs lips set in a firm line but he stayed his tongue. Instead one eye peeked from the shadows of his hood, the pupil spitting then expanding like an eagles to fill the whole eye. After some frowning and muttering in Arabic his eyes returned to normal and he returned to fixing the bridal as he asked quite bluntly "what are you?"

Ira shook her head.
"That's not how this game works, darling. I asked a question first, so you should answer it before asking your own questions. However, since you were apparently unaware of how this works, I'll let it slide. Besides, it's a question everyone asks me.
I am a togruta, humanoid species, have the human-esq build. But, different. A little...better, even," Ira said, flashing a smile with her pointed teeth towards Altair.

Altaïr turned his head a fraction in her direction thoughtfully with a small 'nm' noise. Badr snorted and nudge him. Shaking his head to clear his thoughts the assassin paused to put a hand against his chest to ensure the Apple was still within the confines of his robe. It was the accursed objects fault he was here in the first place, so perhaps it could take him home.

He wasn't the only ones who could see differently. Not by a long shot. Ira closed her eyes, and kept them closed as if blinking slowly. Something there. Something with a strange influence of things about it. Something with a great deal of energy and power. Curious.
Ira opened her eyes. A smirk. And he wasn't really a he, now was he. Goodness gracious that had to be uncomfortable. Cute though, trying to hide what she was, it was easy enough to see through the Force in the end.
"And what's that you're hiding there, hm?"

Altaïrs breath caught. She kept her stance loose and turned to face Ira. "What is it you speak of?" she feigned innocence as she studied the woman carefully. Warnings sounded off in Altaïrs mind. Something didn't sit well with her about this beings intentions.
