The smell of rotting flesh, the sounds of screams as a person is brutally stabbed in order to feed for someone else and feeling of dread that trapped the entire land of the Dead City ruled by the Death God. Home sweet home. She was only one of many Necromancers that came here, but the only one to her knowledge that was granted immortality and definitely the only one she knew married to a god and lord elsewhere in Elim. Her purpose here was more or less a diplomatic service. The day this place decided to expand its territory was the day Elysios didn't want to find themselves as enemies.
Hekate walked through the forest that bordered the city. The trees towering over her so much they block the view of the moon up above, casting a near impenetrable darkness all around that for a witch like her was a godsend. She was in her domain and she relished every moment as she walked across the ground accompanied by two guards to her side. The Death Witch continued to walk, approaching the city streets when all of a sudden...

One would notice not the rot first but the pikes sticking up from the street corners in dozen masses. These pikes seemed to have shapes squirming atop them some moaning others screaming in raw agony. Those shapes were of recently defeated men and women who entered the area uninvited with the intent of looting and robbing the dead. Of course, they were given many chances to enter and leave long before they met this fate. None took the chance to run when the rotters began to shake and rattle and thus they were doomed to this location now piked in the middle of the street and left alive through the Grand Master of the Necromancers under the Barons control.
Mhaor Palu, The Baron of Death, The Doktor himself knew of this this womans arrival long before any other within the city. At once a pact of necromancers were sent out to retrieve her. They would arrive just the moment she approached the main road leading into this side of the city. They arrived in black and purple cloaks, each of them hooded with only the lower part of their mouths and necks exposed. Only one stood unhooded in the center of the crowd, he was the Grand Master of the coven.
He bowed his head slightly only giving her slight respect but retaining equal terms of status considering where he stood now he was considered of the highest rank except directly under the Baron himself.
"Baron Palu awaits you within his throne room," said the Grand Master, "If you will follow us we will walk you there."

As she had expected the Death Witch didn't have to wait long to be greeted once entering the city. Returning the bowed head to the Grand Master that greeted her before following them to Baron Palu's throne room. Her eyes wandering over to the pikes where the moaning shapes were located. Some things never change. All this time and there were still people foolish enough to attack this place. Guess she couldn't be too surprised. What was there to expect when it came to crooks and thieves? Always have to learn their lesson the hard way. The people of Elysios would have proven just as foolish if not for her. Hekate remained silent as she followed the others to the Death God.

The walk would be a long one considering how far in the 'palace' was. Along the way the necromancers each weaved their magics keeping the whisps from taking over the many corpses laying across the grounds. There were a number of roamers who were held at bay by the magics and relieved of their bodies within several incantations. Along the way more pikes would be seen, the deeper they got in the less the bodies moved until they were directly into the town square where the golden palace could be seen immediately.
"Once upon a time this palace was used by the royalty until a man by the name Mikel Mandos set plague to the entire city," said the Grand Master as they approached the massive front doors to the palace. The moment they were in sight two towering black knights stepped forward and halted them but were waved off by the main necromancer who forced them through his power to join their escort, "Mandos had once set out to free the people here of plague from the Doktor, but they sooner exiled him after beating him to near death. It was then that the Doktor took him in and raised him from the dead."
Finally the two front doors were pushed open by the black knights and they entered the palace. The walls were lined in cathedral like paintings which all linked to one another through the halls making one large scene. They turned the corner left, then immediately right, and right again before entering the solid gold doors, "A warning in advance. Mikel Mandos was a recently reborn before he killed the Doktor and plagued an entire city. Baron Mhaor Palu has been alive for a long time now and he has little patients. I have seen similar audiences to this one, the outcomes are differently depending on which abomination you look at. So, speak clearly and do not show fear at what you see before you, it is insulting to our kind. Are you ready?"

The Death Witch didn't say much, and there wasn't much to say. She remained close to the escort and listened when the Grand Master spoke. Her eyes scaling up the large black knights that blocked their path, but only for a moment as they were then forced to move alongside them by the Grand Master's power. Following them inside the golden palace and finally to the solid golden doors inside.
"I'm ready."
