"Aww man. Why does everything always have to happen to me?"
Ranma entered Hallowton with his hands tucked inside his pockets, looking around at the unfamiliar setting. He definitely wasn't in Japan anymore. This place looked more like one of the old pictures of Europe or something, what was that one place called? Oh yeah, London. Well might as well ask someone where he was and try to find out what was going on. However as he turned a corner the ever so familiar, never at all welcomed, cold water splashed him right in the face. Black hair turned red, his height shortened and his figure grew thinner as he stood around the corner with an irritable expression on her face as the old lady nearby tossed water out into the street from a bucket without looking to see who or what she was splashing. "Some things just never change..."
"It's the Queen of the Netherrealm! Sound the alarm!"
"Huh?"
Ranma turned around to see what all the commotion was about only to find that the commotion was about him as a bunch of Hallowton guards clad in armor from head to toe with spears aimed forward came charging towards him.
"H-hey! What are you doing!?"
Ranma did a 180 degree spin and took off with the Hallowton guards right behind him. Not two minutes into this place and already he had people wanting to do him harm. Ranma ran past people who were knocked over on their walks as he tried to find somewhere to hide from these guys but came to a screeching halt when he saw more people up ahead with arrows now pointed at him. Ranma did yet ANOTHER 180 spin and this time jumped up, running on the soldiers' heads and jumping down at the end of the row now running away from the arrows being fired at him.
"She's getting away!"
"What are these guys problem, anyway?"
Ranma continued to run, still with no idea why these guards were chasing him so relentlessly and then came to a screeching halt as he could see something else approaching him.
"Now what?"

Sazan was on her way out of the city to travel to the desert regions of Jherra and infiltrate the new “Cult of Maricul” that had appeared there by pretending to be her mother. On the way out the Hybrid would hear an alarm being sounded by Hallowton guards as she looked up ahead to see a redheaded woman coming to a screeching halt right in front of her. Sazan was frozen in shock for a moment. This woman looked exactly like her aunt Ranko, the Crimson Devil. But the way she moved, carried herself and even how she spoke was inconsistent with everything she knew about Ranko. That and the aura she was reading wasn't that of a half-devil or demon possessed human. It was just a human.
"Now what?"
Sazan looked over to the Hallowton guards and raised up her hand signalling for them to halt before looking back to the stranger who shared a striking resemblance with her aunt.
“Who are you?”

"Akane!"
Ranma leaped forward, landing just a couple of feet away from Sazan not realizing that it was a different person entirely in front of him instead of the uncute fiance he knew from back home.
"Akane. Do you have any idea where we are? Hey..."
Ranma looked back to the soldiers and noticed that Akane had somehow managed to make them stop charging. He knew Akane was a scary person but she wasn't that scary.
"How did you get them to stop? What are you wearing?"
Ranma asked as he looked at her again, noting the sleeveless black shirt, pants and blue trench coat she had on. Seeing the scythe strapped to her back too.
"And what are you doing with that lawn mower on your back?"
“Who are you?”
That took Ranma by surprise and reminded him of the time Shampoo once made her forget who he was. Not exactly something he wanted to go through again especially if neither one of them had any idea where they were or how they got there.
"Oh, jeez, Akane. Don't tell me you've been washing your hair with that memory eraser shampoo again. I'm Ranma, remember? Ran... MA!"

"Akane!"
“Akane?”
"Akane. Do you have any idea where we are? Hey... how did you get them to stop? What are you wearing?"
This person clearly had her confused with somebody else but that would mean that in another world apart from her own, there were people who looked like her while not having any other relation to her whatsoever. And the same could now be said for other people she knew. Instead of just having doppelgangers in the form of alternate reality versions of themselves, they had doppelgangers in the form people who were only alike to them in appearance. It hurt Sazan's head just thinking about it.
"And what are you doing with that lawn mower on your back?"
“Lawn mower...?”
"Oh, jeez, Akane. Don't tell me you've been washing your hair with that memory eraser shampoo again. I'm Ranma, remember? Ran... MA!"
“Listen! This is going to be hard to take in but... I'm not this Akane person you keep blabbing on about. My name is Sazan and this place is called Hallowton. I don't know where you're from but I can safely say you're no longer in the same reality.”

Oh, wow. This time Akane couldn't even remember who she was. They were going to need a stronger dose of memory restoration shampoo to fix this problem.
“Lawn mower...?”
"Don't get me wrong. You're strong and built like an ox and all but you're still much too short to use that thing. Even I couldn't use it while in my girl half. Besides you're bad enough barehanded what do you need a weapon for?"
“Listen! This is going to be hard to take in but... I'm not this Akane person you keep blabbing on about. My name is Sazan and this place is called Hallowton. I don't know where you're from but I can safely say you're no longer in the same reality.”
"W-what?"
Ranma couldn't believe what he was hearing. So much in fact that he thought it was some kind of joke. He even chuckled lightly in response as if that what was being told. A joke of some kind but Ranma honestly didn't get the punchline.
"You're pulling my leg, right?"

Sazan shook her head in reply and then looked back over to the Hallowton guards.
“There's been a misunderstanding. This isn't Ranko. You can return to your posts.”
The guards looked at each other confused but they trusted the word of the Queen's top adviser and returned to their posts, spreading the word of the false alarm so the others in the area would stand down leaving Sazan and Ranma alone.
“Walk with me. There's a lot to discuss and I don't have much time to explain it all.”

Sebastian was stationed within one of the many stores here; placing a relatively large order for simple household cleaning materials. Those who ran this store were always so happy to see him, simply because his visits meant only one thing... Much money to spent by the Hellsing Organization. By this point, they would have been only too willing to refer to him as a 'friend,' had he not been focused on proper etiquette and maintaining his servant attitude and status. The butler was pointing out a specific window cleaner when the commotion from outside drew his attention. Shortly afterward, even the feeble human ears of the store keepers could pick up the sounds; and all eye flicked over to fix on the street outside the shop display window. There were guards chasing after someone, apparently intent of catching some "Queen of the Netherrealm." The butler bowed to the store-keepers a moment later. "Do forgive me, but I must excuse myself for a short while... If you could put my order on hold for the time being, I would be ever so grateful." Then he swept out of the store, leaving a rather bewildered keeper pair behind. He walked with purpose, making his way through the crowds as he followed the guards who were after the girl. He wasn't sure exactly what was going on, but if someone had guards in a determined pursuit; then he, as a Hellsing employee, was bound to join the chase and detain the escapee. No one would notice as he flashed past pedestrians, weaving through them with ease and never removing his eyes from the boy being chased. But then, quite suddenly, the target slowed to a halt in front of another person. The demon halted along with the guards, standing not far from the two. The darker-haired female, he recognized; but only vaguely. Integra had met that woman before, and it was through his mental bond with his master that he too knew who she was. But a name and position was all that he knew of her. This was Sazan, and the top adviser for the Queen herself. “There's been a misunderstanding. This isn't Ranko. You can return to your posts.”Ranko? So that was who the guards had thought they were chasing... Sebastian's memory flickered back to one of Integra's meetings, Maricul had spoken of a Ranko... And it hadn't exactly been good news, either. He watched as the guards backed off and filtered from the area, and the many curious spectators who had watched also began to disperse. Then Sazan had invited Ranma, as she had called herself, on a walk. The two would end up coming in his own direction, he realized; as they were on the edge of the city and he was in the road which would lead back into the place. Sebastian shifted to the side, standing out of their path as they approached. He would sink into a slight bow at the waist as they passed, inclining his head. Sazan served the Queen, it was only proper for him to bow. He would say nothing as they passed, and expected to be ignored. However, he was curious of them. He would begin to tail them as soon as possible if they passed him without sparing a glance, and listen in on their conversation. It was quite rude, yes... Yet he was still suspicious of the newcomer... And he wanted to be absolutely certain that Ranma was no threat. Besides... For all he knew, Ranma might end up proving a hostile and turning some sort of weapon on Sazan to end the Queen's Adviser. The demon would certainly not stand by without acting if Sazan was attacked. He knew he was probably being over-cautious... But better safe than sorry, right? That was his thought process, at least. Semper Paratis... Always prepared... Yes, he lived by that standard; and many more lofty ones alongside it. Whoa, she was being serious. She really wasn't Akane. But she looked and sounded so much like the person he knew back in Tokyo. How did that work? Wait, there was one way she could look like Akane without being her.
"Hey. You didn't by chance fall into any springs of drown Akane lately, have you?"
That didn't explain this reality nonsense she was talking about but she could have just been insane for all he knew. Wouldn't be the first crazy person he came in contact with. Ranma caught sight of Sebastian from the corner of his eyes. There was something off about the man but Ranma didn't say anything in his direction as he stayed by Sazan's side. Hoping to find some hot water soon so he could change back into a guy. Maybe then he wouldn't get so many stares as he seemed to look like whoever this other "Ranko" chick was that they kept talking about. By this point Ranma wasn't bothered who knew of his curse. All of Tokyo pretty much knew by this point.
"Do you know where a girl can get her hands on some hot water?"

"Hey. You didn't by chance fall into any springs of drown Akane lately, have you?"
“What are you talking about?”
"Do you know where a girl can get her hands on some hot water?"
“And what exactly do you need hot water for?”
Sazan spotted Sebastian as they walked down the road and while they never officially met, she knew all about him through the Queen and what he looked like. It was hard for any member of the Hellsing organization to go by her unrecognized these days. Especially with the reputation they were starting to achieve here in the city.
“Sebastian Michaelis I presume. What brings you here?”
"I love you."
An electric current in Sazan's brain went off like a spark as she heard Amoura's voice in her mind. Her head snapping over to the direction the Downward Spiral could be seen from within the city. It had been ages since she heard that voice, the voice that sounded so sad. Defeated. Her heart sank and she began to look pale as she looked up to the Spiral with a look of horror and sorrow slapped across her facial feature.
“Amoura...”

Without a sound, without a movement, without a sign, she waited, watching the proceedings with mild interest. Eyes like bloodied bark made note of who was present- one face she had met before, and another that she knew from word of mouth. The third... the third she didn't recognize. New comer most likely.
The woman was dressed in a shapely pair of black slacks and soft black heels. A long sleeve, high neck, well- fitting grey sweater cupped her body while the scooped cut-away shoulders exposed her shoulders and a bit of her upper arms. Her hands had been placed into her pockets and draped into one of the loops her arms made, a long and heavy soft brown coat. Her ears and tail had been pulled into her skull and back as per usual and so to all who saw her, she was human. Only if one had a very keen sense of smell would they be able to tell her actual race due to biological assets she possessed. Her aura? Nearly indistinguishable- but not impossible to read.
So, a newcomer. She shook her head lightly. They were becoming more and more frequent with each passing day. Saasha had been out about town for her daily jaunt out of the manor. All day she had been on rather low alert for trouble seeing as there had been many the seemed to be eager to protect the city as she was. So for the recent times, she had been within the confines of the forests and doing all of her hunting under the trees. However, today she had opted to nix the trees and go for the stony streets that she now walked.
It just so happened that chase had been conducted right as she passed around a corner and had nearly been bowled over by the fleeing red-head. Naturally she had stepped out of the way, followed by another larger step to get out of the way of the guards that rushed by in a frenzy- this had elicited a sigh from the woman. Never a still day in this city. A few moments later and she had spied the demon butler make an approach and be greeted by the Queen's adviser.
Now, she was not one to pry, but she was one to be curious. Damn her canine side. She slipped into one of the chairs that had been set outside of a nearby upper-class looking cafe. Odd for Hallowton. Her human ears were perked to listen but her eyes scanned the crowds for any interruptions. Something inside of her didn't want them to get distracted from their talking. Was it perhaps that her new master worked for the Queen and since Sazan did as well, perhaps she thought that he would not want Sazan to be disturbed? Sparda may not have been her true master, but she would still abide by him at least... And so the unexplainable yet casual scanning continued- but with a detached sense of duty.

"It's kind of a long story."
Ranma wasn't sure how to explain it exactly. It was always better to just show people his curse than actually explaining it to them. That way they wouldn't get the crazy idea that he was a cross dresser as some people in the past have mistaken him for. He got quiet when Sazan started talking with that butler guy. Bringing both his arms up to behind his head and folding them, leaning the back of his head back into them where he stood next to her. Getting a sense that they were being watched by somebody else as he turned towards the cafe only to look back at Sazan when she stared off into space. Or in this case...
"W-what the heck is that!?"
Ranma had been so busy being chased by guards he somehow missed the large eyesore that was the Downward Spiral over the horizon. Before that he had his back turned to it where he was walking. His eyes caught glimpse of the look on Sazan's face as he got down from his shock long enough to check on her.
"Hey. Are you okay?"

The girl, Ramna... The way she looked in his direction as the the pair passed by him, he knew that she could tell he was different. But how? His suspicion only increased, she couldn't know what he was unless she wasn't human; or perhaps some form of super human...? Upon arrival to Hallowton, he had noticed how many people and creatures seemed to be able to recognize him as non-human. It was a rather irritating prospect, really. He went to great lengths to appear human in public, and it was proving rather fruitless at this rate. Ah well... He had his orders, Integra had commanded him upon the sealing of their contract: "Under no circumstances are you to appear before any in your true form as a demon unless I allow it." So... Regardless of whether or not one could tell he was different, he would continue to keep his species a secret. So far, very few knew him for what he was, so he could at least take pride in his ability to keep it hidden in a world full of strangely gifted individuals. As the girl asked about hot water, he felt his curiosity intensify. Why did she want hot water? It was a rather unusual request. His attention would soon be drawn away from Ranma though, as Sazan addressed him. He held his bow until she finished speaking, then straightened up with a pleasant smile set on his face. So she knew of him? Not surprising... She did serve the Queen after all; anything or anyone related to Hellsing would no doubt be known to her. "Indeed, I am..." He said softly in reply to her. "I'm simply running a few errands for my master. I must say... It is quite a honor to meet you in person at last. If I may serve you in any way, please don't hesitate to ask." He inclined his head again, only to raise his gaze to look at her at the sudden movement of her head. Looking in the direction of Downward Spiral, perhaps? Who was this... Amoura? "Miss...? Is everything alright?" He asked in concern. Sebastian made no sign of it; but he caught the familiar scent on the breeze, and turned his head ever so slightly to cast a sideways glance at the woman sitting in front of the nearby cafe. Saasha? He only met her before in her canine form; the dog scent had been nearly overpowering. However, this was human enough... But she still carried that distinct canine smell on a weaker level. Had he not been occupied with Sazan, he would have moved over to greet her. But for now, he would act as if he were unaware of her presence. He couldn't help but wonder why she had come out though. "Miss...? Is everything alright?"
"Hey. Are you okay?"
Sazan wasn't sure what to say to either of them in response. No, she wasn't all right. No, she wasn't okay. Her sister-n-law, best friend and one time mentor was off somewhere being lost to the terrors that haunted her for over twenty years and there was nothing she could do about it. She was enraged and wanted to punch something. But just as the anger built up through her body she allowed it to ease out and regained her composure before looking back at the two. Still unsure what to say. If the redhead wanted to talk about long stories Sazan was sure she could bury her.
“Sebastian. My friend would like some hot water. A strange request I know but can you be a dear and fetch some for us?”
Sazan then looked back over to the redhead.
“I don't believe I caught your name.”

Saasha ordered and already had the exact change for her drink plopped into the impressed waiter's hand before she was done. He nodded and took off to fetch her beverage. The woman reached into her trademark messenger bag and pulled out a neatly bound leather-back book. Setting it carefully upon the table she opened it and scanned the pages. She really was reading it but at the same time was keeping an ear out. Nothing of consequence was going on as of yet so she entertained the thought of relaxing for a few moments.
Out of the corner of her eye, she caught Sebastian glance at her, to which she smiled at her book- naturally intending the smile to be a greeting for him. It faded with time and she continued to listen and watch. No harm in re-reading a few of her memoirs in the process.

As he observed her during her silence, he could tell something was really upsetting her. Her stiff stance, the rapidly increasing fire in her eyes, her increased heart rate to his enhanced hearing. But what was it about the Downward Spiral that so set her on edge? He was about to try calming her with words, but it was a short-lived anger. Before he could start speaking, she began to slowly relax again. Well, calm herself; not really relax. It wasn't until she looked up at him and started to make her request that he allowed some concern to leave his face. False concern, really; he didn't exactly feel any inclination to worry himself about her. She wasn't his master, nor did she play an important role in his time here. But all the same... He worked for Hellsing. To display that he didn't care about her or Hallowtown's well being would have had only bad results. As Sazan finished talking, Sebastian allowed himself to sink into another bow, resting his right hand upon his chest. "That is not a strange request at all... Certainly, I shall bring some hot water momentarily." He stood up again and turned toward the cafe which Saasha was seated in front of. As he swept past her, a whisper would reach her ears. "Hello again, Miss Saasha. I didn't expect to see you here in-town..." But he had entered the cafe before the demon hound human would be able to respond. It wouldn't take him long to be allowed back in the kitchen, the diner manager knew him well. He would boil up some water quickly, then he poured it into a large bucket. As he left the diner again, carrying the filled and steaming bucket with ease, he murmured thanks to the diner manager; and offered another nod of greeting to Saasha as he passed. The demon soon rejoined Sazan and the girl; bowing his head again as he set the bucket down by Ramna's feet. As he rose back to his feet; the piercing crimson gaze locked on Ranma's eyes, studying her. He then took a few steps back to return their personal space, and stood there with his arms by his sides; immobile. He could keep an eye on Ramna this way, while being available in case Sazan wanted him to do anything else for her. Besides... If he could leave a good impression on Sazan, then the Queen might also end up with a good impression of him. That would serve as useful in the future.
