On The Road Again (Open)

Date: The 19th day of the 2nd month of Fall
Location: The road in-between Hallowton and Kari

Sazan left the border of Hallowton and was now on the path directly for Kari, which she would have to go through if she wanted to get to the Jherrazad's desert on foot. Equipped with her Dark Scythe and 11mm Blessing and of course plenty of food for the road. Human and vampire. This would have been the first time she left Hallowton since her wedding with Michael back at Aircano. The wedding ceremony itself was beautiful. The after party was something she'd sooner rather forget. It felt good to get out, see what else Jherra had to offer as she made her way down the road.

The Hybrid came up to a village outside the city limit that looked like a small Amish community. They lived in small houses that didn't have any electricity and there was farm for miles through growing corn and other crops that they worked on. Even the clothes were the same from the Amish she knew back in her home world. They didn't bother her. Some even welcomed her while others just gave a small nod of acknowledgement. Obviously they were used to people brewing through here and was probably glad it wasn't another Maya that had appeared. Sazan looked up to the trees, seeing the leaves that had turned orange, red, yellow and brown for the Fall season and began falling off their branches making way for Winter. No matter how many things changed...

Some things remained the same.

Luna was in the vicinity of Hallowtown exploring the area, she had enough exploring the town itself and thought that it might be time to explore what's around here, who knows perhaps she would be able to meet someone, or something interesting. It had been a few weeks since she arrived in this world and she was no closer to finding out how to get back home, nor had she seen anyone from her world, she do hoped that everyone else was safe and sound.

She had met with an interesting man the other day named Roy, he was very funny and had lots to tell her, but most importantly he told her about the existance of the Crumpled Horn Snorkack, which made Luna very excited. However it was a pity that she could not see one in person as she would love to have kept one as a pet, however she was content with her current job of helping out a shopkeeper.

She then saw another person walking out of one of the small communities as she thought that she might have a conversation with her if the person was friendly enough, "Hello, are you going off somewhere?" she asked bluntly when she approached the woman her voice dreamy as she looked at the woman with a curious observation.

[Ayen]

"Hello, are you going off somewhere?"

Sazan turned her head to see the young blonde woman who came up to her. Not recognizing her from anywhere but it appeared she had also came from out of Hallowton. It was a big city so it only made sense that there were several people she probably never encountered yet. Especially since she practically lived in the castle now instead of the old manor they all stayed in before splitting up.

“Yes, actually... Can I help you?”

Luna smiled as she tilted her head, "Just wondering where you are going," she said nonchalantly before she remembered something that Harry once said...something about being too blunt that would cause people to say that she was weird, "sorry if that came a little blunt, I was merely wondering if you've travelled the world yet. I'm kind of new to this world and I was thinking of perhaps expanding my exploration to other then just Hallowtown and the surrounding area, it would be nice to also see different creatures in this world too, so I was wondering if you have any suggestions on where I might be able to go."

[Ayen]

“Uhh...”

"Sorry if that came a little blunt, I was merely wondering if you've traveled the world yet. I'm kind of new to this world and I was thinking of perhaps expanding my exploration to other then just Hallowton and the surrounding area, it would be nice to also see different creatures in this world too, so I was wondering if you have any suggestions on where I might be able to go."

“I only really been to a couple of places outside Hallowton. Avoid Isafaro and the desert and mountain regions and you should be fine. Straight ahead through this village is a city called Kari. It's a bit different than Hallowton. And a lot bigger. I'm heading there now.”

Luna hadn't heard much about Isafaro or the other regions, she had heard stories about them, but she wanted more concrete information other then just stories; perhaps she should try to find a bookstore that would have a book about the world, that would be very useful to have, however Isafaro wasn't a place she wanted to go to anyways knowing what kind of dangers awaited her there if she went to such a place, she liked the quiet life and would rather spend time looking for rare creatures then treking to a dangerous place.

"Kari hmm? Haven't been there before though I heard it is quite big, if you don't mind can I join you to Kari? Travelling with companions makes it a lot better then travelling alone in my opinion," Luna asked as she hoped that the woman would say yes, even if they didn't have much to talk about it would at least give Luna a chance to explore a little bit of the world before coming back to Hallowtown.

"Kari hmm? Haven't been there before though I heard it is quite big, if you don't mind can I join you to Kari? Traveling with companions makes it a lot better then traveling alone in my opinion."

Sazan first instinct was to say no since she was on official business, but as it was just to Kari the Hybrid saw no reason to turn down the girl's offer. She very much doubt that after the defeat of the Netherrealm and Joann trek through this place that the road from Hallowton to Kari would be that eventful. Though she's been wrong before so Sazan wouldn't rule anything out.

“Sure. I'm Sazan, it's a pleasure to meet you, miss...”

"Miss Lovegood, Luna Lovegood," Luna said introducing herself a bit pleased that she would have someone to talk to while walking towards Kari, it was also safer to travel with someone rather then being alone even though the road was supposed to be safe, "so Sazan do you have sort of a job that you do? Or are you just a simple traveller travelling between the cities?" Luna asked as a conversation starter.

"Miss Lovegood, Luna Lovegood."

“It's a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Lovegood.”

Sazan finished her greeting as she began to walk.

"so Sazan do you have sort of a job that you do? Or are you just a simple traveler traveling between the cities?"

“I'm the chief royal adviser to the Queen of Hallowton on official business. What, I'm afraid, I cannot disclose at this time. What do you do?”

Luna nodded when Sazan didn't want to talk about what he did as a royal advisor, she had some inkling on what it might be about, but not the full picture. After all being a royal adviser must be tiring work working with the Queen day in day out, but it was no different then what Percy Weasley did at the Ministry, "That must be a tiring job, I bet you don't get a lot of sleep because of your job," Luna remarked before Sazan asked what she did for a living.

"I work here and there, I don't really have a permanent job at the moment, but right now I'm helping a kind old lady with her shop in Hallowtown. It sells fruits and vegetables and there's always Mr Forrester who always wear a hat and scarf and always buys oranges; then there's Miss Bella who buys pencils for the children that she teachers," Luna explained, "however I also work at the refugee camps because...well I know what it's like to be in a war you don't know about."

"That must be a tiring job, I bet you don't get a lot of sleep because of your job."

“I manage.”

That was one of the many perks to being half vampire. You rarely get fatigued. Sazan could go hours without any sleep.

"I'm from Earth, specifically I'm from the United Kingdoms. I come from Hogwarts, it's a big school that's very famous, it teachers magic, potions, charms, divination and all of the things that Muggles, that is non-magical people, think isn't real," Luna replied as she missed Hogwarts and all her friends, she do hoped that all of them were alright and that they were living their lives fine, "how about you Sazan? Where are you from?" she asked.

[Ayen]

"I'm from Earth, specifically I'm from the United Kingdoms. I come from Hogwarts, it's a big school that's very famous, it teachers magic, potions, charms, divination and all of the things that Muggles, that is non-magical people, think isn't real."

Sazan had to do a double take. She was familiar with Hogwarts, but the Hogwarts she knew of was in a book created by a British author named J. K. Rowling who went on to write seven of them and have eight movies adaptions. They had already encountered people from other books and movies she knew of. Like Iron Man, Star Wars and Supergirl. What was next Twilight?

“I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch that. Where did you say you were from again?”

"How about you Sazan? Where are you from?"

“Domino City. I was an investigator of paranormal activity.”

That was putting it mildly.

"Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizarding," Luna repeated again, "or the United Kingdoms if you want the general layout."

"Wow, an investigator? That must be a very wonderful job, you're almost like the Aurors of my world. My friend Harry Potter wants to be an Auror too, I suppose he'll get in without any training seeing as how he saved the world, and I'm sure whoever becomes Minister will accept that. We do need more Aurors since most of them went to the great beyond during the war," Luna explained.

[Ayen]

She wasn't hearing things. This person was definitely from the Harry Potter universe. Well, she wouldn't spill what she knew. It had to be hard enough adjusting to a new world, having to adjust to one universe where you're a work of fiction is something the Hybrid couldn't imagine going through and wouldn't reveal such to those who would be affected by it.

“It has its pros and cons as any job.”

Again that was putting it mildly. Truth was that her time in Domino City had changed her, both for the good and the bad. It wasn't exactly something she liked thinking about, but at the same time, that was when they were all the closest. Amoura, Sparda, her, even Ranka. They have drifted apart since then and Amoura... Amoura...

“Who's Harry Potter?”

Now she was looking for a change of subject.
