Gabrielle arrived at Kari's HQ, stepping across the entrance of the building and entering into the large lobby with a look of urgency in her eyes. Funny, before now despite all the time spent in this city, the Traveling Bard has never been in this part of town. Never had a reason to visit the main base until now. Stopping at the front desk, Gabrielle laid her hands down on the top of its surface and spoke to the woman standing behind it. "I need to see Kain straight away."

"Not so fast."
Sincara walked into the lobby, her gaze meeting that of the Traveling Bard's as she stopped. Standing across from her now as she continued.
"What is this about the Netherrealm possibly attacking Kari again? What happened after I went unconscious?"

"What is this about the Netherrealm possibly attacking Kari again? What happened after I went unconscious?"
“A lot, actually.”
Said Zora as she entered the lobby behind Sincara.
“The damage you and that knight did against the Netherrealm caused the spirits that resided there to be released. From what I understood of the gray bald guy's rambling anyways. Whatever you guys did, the demons there no longer have any obligation to follow their Queen. They can do what they want.”
The young witch crossed her arms and then looked over to the Battling Bard.
“Hi, Gabrielle.”

Gabrielle turned her head and looked over to Sincara who was already out of bed. Well, that couldn't be good for the girl. There was no way she made a full recovery already. Before the Traveling Bard could say anything, or answer any question, Zora came in and explained the situation to Sincara. Prompting the Traveling Bard to look down to Zora, her facial expression displaying clear displeasure at her presence. "Zora. I thought I told you to stay at the shelter?"

"So the Queen is without her unstoppable army."
A small rare smile graced the lips of the hunter at that news. The Netherrealm had existed for 20,000 years. And in a day they had undid it all, proving once again that there were no bounds humanity couldn't break free from. Chaos had at last come to order.
"The demons of the Netherrealm have worked as a collective for twenty millennia. With the Netherrealm gone their connection is shattered. They'll be disorientated, some lacking bodies. Without the Netherrealm they'll be unable to resurrect and adapt. They couldn't take Kari at their best. It'd be suicidal for them to attack it at their worse."

"Zora. I thought I told you to stay at the shelter?"
“You didn't say anything about the shelter. You told me to stay with Sincara. That's what I did.”
Zora explained with a sly smile.

“So there's nothing to worry about then.”

The Traveling Bard released an irritable laugh in response to Zora's technicality. Lightly patting her on the head before turning her attention back to Sincara as she explained more about the Netherrealm that she didn't know before. Zora was quick to relax but Gabrielle wasn't so easily put at ease at such a thought. "The point still stands that they could attack. Which is why I'm seeing Kain about this now. Since you're both here already you're welcomed to come along."

"You go on without me. There's another matter I still need to intend to. Until we meet again."
Sincara tipped her hat to say farewell to the pair before leaving the shelter. While she understood Gabrielle's concern, the Netherrealm was no longer a threat at this time and as such, Sincara wouldn't waste energy on them. It was time to get back to what she had been going after since the beginning. The Arashi.

Zora watched Sincara leave the shelter before turning back to the Traveling Bard and walking up to her.
“Shall we go see Kain now?”

Gabrielle nodded and led Zora over to the elevator at the end of the lobby. It had taken some time for the Battling Bard to get used to elevators since first coming here but after several times going up and down them she was finally used to them. She couldn't speak for Zora however. Pressing the bottom button on the panel Gabrielle waited and then stepped inside once the doors open. Pressing the button for the top floor on the inside panel and waited. The elevator going up and then opening at the top floor of the building, stepping out and stopping at the entrance of Kain's office where the soldiers stood guard. "We're here to see Kain."

Oh no. Not one of them damned enclosed muggle boxes that went up and down on a core that could easily snap and send muggles falling to an early demise. Zora hated them ever so much and for once it wasn't just from that muggle prejudice Gabrielle kept bringing up. It was more from fear and paranoia that the elevator was going to either stop or send them plummeting to their deaths.
“Gabrielle, can we please take the stairs? Please?”
Her pleads would go ignored as the pair entered into the elevator. Zora beginning to feel suffocated in the small space as she pulled on the green and silver striped tie of her Slytherin uniform. Looking around to the walls and ceiling as the doors came shut. Waiting in scared anticipation for that jolt of movement. Her hand reaching out for the handle but it was too late. The jolt came, and Zora fell against the ground screaming while the elevator moved up to the top floor. Her screams ending in a ding that signaled for the automatic doors to come open and them leaving the elevator. Zora quickly readjusting herself and acting like nothing had happened as they stood in front of Kari's soldiers waiting to be seen by their leader.

"Open the door."Kain spoke to his guards through their radios and the soldiers nodded, opening the door and giving Gabrielle and Zora passage into Kain's office. Kain was currently sitting behind his desk, his eyes observing the two as he waited for them to come in. He noticed the absence of Sincara and the other two who had gone out to catch up with them but that didn't matter. Kain was confident Gabrielle would be all he needed to find out how things went back in Moon Valley and the Netherrealm. From the clear blue sky he knew the mission was a success but any more details from that was unknown at this time. "Report."

Gabrielle did the best to console Zora, assuring her that everything was going to be just fine. And despite Zora's panic everything did turn out to be all right. Seeing that the girl quickly bounced back, more than likely to maintain a sense of pride in the presence of others, Gabrielle walked side by side with her. Entering Kain's office when the doors were opened and seeing them close behind her as Kain wasted no time cutting to the chase. Neither would she.
"On our way to the nexus we were ambushed by a third party that wanted the Netherrealm for their own ambition. A group led by a god named Darkseid who Sincara had battled before. We also ran into two others, a knight named Demetrios and his comrade Doctor Fate. After entering through the nexus to the Netherrealm Sincara harnessed the Netherrealm's own energy and fired it into the ground. Demetrios finished it off from there but the souls were released into Genesis and we have good reason to believe they'll be coming back here."

“But according to Sincara they'd be even worse off now than they were before. She's worrying over nothing right?”

Kain remained quiet behind his desk while Gabrielle gave her report, listening to every word the Battling Bard of Potidaea said and then what the child added to it. Two of his fingers lightly tapping on the front of his desk as he spoke. "I'm well aware of Demetrios and Doctor Fate. They arrived along with the Moon Valley party not long after you left. My army is already set up and prepared if another attack happens so that isn't a concern. Repeat what Sincara told you."
