Adelina rode her carriage across the city after the suns went down to deliver the gallery of art Count Dracula had purchase just the previous day. Her eyes looking up to the large house by the ocean's side as she saw the lights on from within. Wondering what kind of man requested for deliveries at this time of day. Oh well, it didn't matter what part of the day he wanted these. Above all else Adelina was intrigued by the man and was hoping to spend more time with him tonight. Being led out of her carriage by her help she then headed to the front entrance of the building as the men who escorted her carry the paintings and followed closely behind as she knocked on the door and waited.

As soon as her hand made contact with the old double oak doors of the house they slowly creaked open on their own. Allowing Adelina access to the stone entrance hall that awaited her inside. The lights from up above shinning down brightly on the stone floors of the room as navy blue carpeting made up most of the floor and went up to the staircase on the left and right at the center of the room which came up around to meet at a single place up above leading to the second floor. However Count Dracula himself was nowhere to be seen but his presence was ever lasting inside the walls of the building he had chosen to call his home.

"Count Dracula?"
Adelina led the other workers inside the stone entrance hall and looked around for any signs of the Count. It was strange to see he wasn't here and that his doors had opened up so easily. But there was no signs of forced entry so nothing could have happened to him. Nonetheless Adelina stayed on guard as she called out for the man, her voice echoing across the halls of the estate.
"Is anybody home?"

The doors closed of their own accord just as they had originally opened. Adelina's voice sounding out through the hallways and reaching up to the top floor where Dracula stood in his bed chambers. In the blink of an eye, and while no one was looking in that direction, Dracula appeared on the far left side of the staircase looking down towards the woman and her workers.
"Good evening, Adelina midear. Welcome to my home. I cannot say I was expecting to see you tonight. Do you make a habit of delivering each of your items personally?"

Adelina turned around at the sound of the man's voice, spotting him over on the staircase that was empty not more than a couple of seconds ago. Not wanting to be rude she offered him a kind of smile of greeting as she returned to the center of the stone entrance hall across from the steps.
"No. I can't say I do. But I wanted to make sure this delivery got to its owner personally. Riots and what not. Never can be too careful. Where would you like these put?"

"Yes... Never can be too careful."
A small, somewhat devious smile half grew on the man's lips as he descended the staircase and was now at level with the sharply dressed businesswoman as his eyes looked into hers, the windows to the soul telling him all he needed to know about the real reasons she had taken the time to come here before turning his attention back on the others.
"You can leave them there, thank you."
Dracula then turned back to Adelina.
"Surely you didn't come all this way just to deliver paintings. How would you like the grand tour of my estate while you're here?"

The workers put down the shipment of painting in the entrance hall and then departed, going back outside where they were to wait on Adelina as she remained inside the house with the Count.
"I would love the grand tour."
She said with an even bigger smile than usual. Alas she was alone with Dracula.

"Shall we be on our way?"
The Count held out his arm for Adelina to wrap her own around it and then they could begin walking. This was all far too easy. The middle of the night where his powers were at their strongest, people waiting outdoors who could easily be disposed of and a snack. What he saw in the blood would be the make or break when it came to whether or not he would simply end her or make her a creature of the night. He led her down a hallway on the ground floor where many of his paintings were currently hung. Some of them was simple enough, painting of the country side. But others were paintings of war. Showing armies that has long since been vanquished.
One piece of artwork would stick out the most. A large painting near the center of the hallway that showed the old ruler Vlad Dracula III about to be beheaded by Sir Jeho. A moment in history long since forgotten about and no one knew that the man who stood in that picture was God himself about to make history by creating the first vampire.
"This piece has a special place in my heart. It represents death and rebirth. Though the man on his hands and knees is about to be beheaded he has tasted the blood on the soil. The currency of the soul. As such he becomes something more than a man. He denies both God and Devil his soul and lives on never submitting to either. A creature of darkness yet not belonging to it."

"We shall."
Adelina accepted his arm and walked with him down the hallway. Enjoying the peace and serenity of the night, the only sound being their feet making contact with the floor as they walked. Her eyes noticed the large picture at the center of the hallway. Scanning it up and down and admiring it while Dracula explained what it represented.
"That sounds awfully similar to a vampire, Count. Weren't you afraid of such artwork scaring away your guests?"

"Many don't make the connection."
It was interesting, even a little amusing how people minds will completely miss what was right in front of them. No matter how obvious. It was something he saw often in his lifetime. Though people grew in intelligence in time, some went backwards and others like the people here forward only to move backwards again. It was a pity.
"But you aren't like the rest, are you, midear?"

"The same could be said about you."
Adelina replied knowingly. Her mind starting to make its own hypothesis to what he was, what he wanted from her and how she could capitalize on it. Giving him a sideways glance while her neck became exposed from the long raven-black hair that moved over it. Her heart beginning to beat faster in excitement and anticipation at the thought of being young and beautiful forever. If he was what she thought him to be.
"Couldn't it, Count?"

"Perhaps."Was all the Count said in response as he continued down the hall and to the grand library of the house. It was filled with many old books. Both common and extremely rare in Genesis. Fiction and non-fiction alike. It also possessed books on many different creatures known throughout the world since ancient time, covering the old war where Jeho ascended as a god and the rise of nations like Isafaro and Moon Valley. He released his hold on the woman to allow her to explore the library before he spoke. "And this is my study. Not to boast but I am certain you could find text here that even the castle library has long forgotten."

"That isn't much of an answer."
Replied Adelina with a frown as she followed Dracula into the grand library. That frown soon turned upside down back into a smile as she saw the inside of the library. Drawn to all the ancient to most recent texts that rested inside of it. Her eyes wandering up to the lights and soon admiring the ceiling before falling back down upon the table at the center of the room. Walking over to one of the shelves to run her finger along the books, feeling the worn and torn of several of theme with time before looking back at the Count.
"I am certain it is no boast. The truth never is. What is it you normally study here?"

"Everything and anything. The mind should never limit itself by categories. Shall we go on?"
He beckoned, showing Adelina the rest of the first floor. The armory, the dinning room among many others before finally reaching the stairs and ascending up them to the above floor. Coming out on a balcony at the end of the hall that overview the beautiful ocean. A telescope located there for use to look at the stars above.
"And this is the balcony. After a long day I find comfort in looking at the stars. There's a telescope over there if you'd like to use it."

Adelina followed Dracula back up to the balcony. Looking up to the night's sky through the telescope after the Count pointed it out. Seeing the stars up close and personal, as well as the full moon before straightening her body up and returned her glance back to Dracula.
"It's a beautiful home. But isn't there something else you'd like to show me?"
