Distance. You felt it more than ever when you were in a hurry to get somewhere. When a person's life was hanging on the balance. She felt it before a long time ago with Xena and unfortunately the Traveling Bard wasn't able to get her help in time. Though she came back in the end those were some pretty bizarre circumstances that Gabrielle wasn't willing to test the fates with again. Gabrielle and Zora finally reached their designation in Kari, the shelter which doubled as a hospital for the sick and injured. The weight of Sincara starting to tire down the Traveling Bard but she endured just a little while longer as she entered the shelter and called out for a healer. "We need a doctor!" Finding the nearest available bed and laying Sincara down against it as she looked around for help.

Zora was glad to be as far away from the Netherrealm and that demon invested city as humanly possible. She didn't know what became of the Ajerian and Doctor Fate, and while Gabrielle would have surely scolded her for it, she didn't care to. Her prejudice towards non magical people and creature has gone down tremendously but her selfish nature wasn't something that was about to go away as easily. Seeing that the coast was clear when they made it to Kari, the young witch tucked her wand away and followed Gabrielle inside the shelter where she laid down Sincara and started to look for help. Doctors... The type to cut you up with a knife then stitch you up. If Gabrielle really wanted to help Sincara she'd pray for a healer who could use magic.
Okay... So maybe ALL the prejudice hasn't gone away...

Kyrie heard the girl calling for help and turned her head to see Gabrielle and Zora entering the shelter with their unconscious companion. The White Mage stood up after just healing another patient sitting down on the ground in the corner and then walked over to the pair, her eyes going down towards Sincara to look her over as she laid on the bed. "What happened to her?" Kyrie asked while gently forcing open an eye on Sincara while examining her.

Fortunately for them all they wouldn't have to wait long for aid as one of the people helping out at the shelter came to their side, allowing for the Traveling Bard to explain Sincara's condition. "She was poisoned by a dart on the road. I managed to slow down the effects but then she was unable to get the sufficient amount of air. She's been unconscious the whole way back from Moon Valley. Also we need to speak with Kain. There's possibly another attack by the Netherrealm coming this way."

“Is she going to be okay?”

"Kain should still be at HQ last I heard." Kyrie checked Sincara's pulse, it was weak but still present as she hovered the palm of her hands over Sincara's body and generated a white, healing energy from them. Looking over to Zora as she did. "I'm going to do everything I can, okay?" Casting out the poison little by little from her bloodstream, since it would have been more time consuming to find out what kind of poison it was to give the proper antidote, before opening Sincara's mouth and beginning to perform CPR on the young woman.

The air returned to Sincara's lungs and her eyes came open as she saw Kyrie, Gabrielle and Zora standing over her. This wasn't the first time that Sincara came back from a mission unconscious but at least this time she could actually move. After the air returned Sincara began to cough as she steadily rose to a sit on the bed, hand up to her mouth. Eyes looking around for the Six Shooter prior to meeting the glance of the others currently present at her bedside.
"Where is it?"

"Right here," replied Gabrielle while taking out the revolver from her shirt pocket and handing it back over to Sincara. "Thank you." said Gabrielle to the healer before looking over to Zora. "You stay with Sincara. I'm going to go speak with Kain." Not giving the witch any chance to argue the Traveling Bard quickly took her leave of the shelter to find Kain and warn him about the potential second Netherrealm attack against the nation.

"I'm going to do everything I can, okay?"
"I'm going to do everything I can, okay?"
Zora was amazed. A place filled with people with all this muggle tech and they find the one person who actually uses magic to heal wounds. As far as the witch was concerned Sincara was the luckiest person being treated here. And that only cemented itself further into her mind when she awoke after Kyrie's healing.
"Where is it?"
“Where's what?”
"Right here."
Zora watched Gabrielle give Sincara back her revolver.
“Oh. That muggle, witch, hybrid wand you always carry around.”
"You stay with Sincara. I'm going to go speak with Kain."
“But–!”
Too late. Gabrielle was already out the door before she could get a word in. Upset, the young witch folded her arms in front of her chest.
“Great...”

Kyrie was a bit taken aback by the girl's quick recovery, but was glad to see she was all right as Gabrielle handed them back their weapon before taking off. The White Mage wasn't used to seeing kids this young with weapons but this realm was very different from her own. It made her frown knowing that someone as young as Sincara and Zora even needed weapons to begin with. But what was a healer to do? "I'm glad to see you're feeling better." Kyrie offered Sincara a warm smile before shifting her attention over to Zora, walking over to her and hunching down to be at eye-level with the child. "What about you? Do you need any treatment?"

Sincara took back her revolver and said nothing further as she stood up from the bed, not content with being confined to one any longer. She still had a job to do. Especially if there was a chance of the Netherrealm still being a threat. Sincara planned to investigate what remained of the Demon World and after that? Back to her quest for the Arashi. She passed both Zora and Kyrie and walked out of the shelter to follow the Traveling Bard.

Zora watched as Sincara took back her revolver and then left the shelter without a word to anyone.
"I'm glad to see you're feeling better."
“She didn't even say thank you.”
"What about you? Do you need any treatment?"
“What? No, I'm fine. Honest. Anyways I gotta go...”
Zora began to follow after Sincara.
“Gabrielle told me to stay with Sincara.”

"I'm used to it. My job is often a thankless one." The White Mage looked back over to Zora as she insisted that she was all right. "Are you sure? You know, you should never be too proud to ask for help A little humility can go a long way." But alas, Zora was certain and Kyrie caught the part of her sentence that paraphrased what Gabrielle had told her. She was definitely the sly one. Kyrie hoped it wouldn't get her into any serious trouble one of these days. Watching the pair leave, the White Mage went back to help aid the other people at the shelter who still needed her.
