Flower Girl (Invites)

[Alex]

Aerith was surprised to see a new arrival enter the church that wanted to help them, she didn't know who he was but she was thankful that somebody else came to their aid. Her attention was then drawn back to Ayen who had just electrocuted the three soldiers who had him held at gunpoint before coming over to her.

"What are you doing?"

Aerith held onto Ayen as soon as he took off into the air. Looking down to the church below through wide eyes as they reached the sky above the building, looking down at the slums below as they hovered in the air. Her eyes moving away from the ground below and over to Ayen who had her in his arm.

"You can fly?

[Cloud]

What an interesting turn of events. The guards fell unconcious twitching while the other who was obviously not from this world took off with Aerith in attempt to get away. He knew they would get away from them but the Turks would find them again. This is what they were good at. Cloud could stall them for a while and link up with them at a later time.

Cloud raised his Buster Sword and brought it down slowly into his battle stance. "You are wrong.... this has everything to do with me. I wonder... Have you ever fought a SOLDIER before?" Cloud asked as he thrusted forward with quick speed toward Reno, initiating his Sonic Rave attack. Should Reno be hit Cloud doubt he would survive. However if the Turk dodged he should expect another Sonic Rave attack from Cloud.

[Kragen]

Well, that was unexpected. Looked like the kid had more juice than either he or Rude had anticipated. He could defy gravity too. That only left the other blonde male who decided to stick his nose where it didn't belong to contend with.

"Go after them, Rude. I'll take care of the grunt."

Reno took out a metal rod and put it in his left hand, leveling it on his shoulder as Cloud came forward with the Sonic Rave. Jumping out of the way onto one of the pews to the side as Cloud lunged down the hall and closer to the flowerbed Aerith was particularly keen on not being stepped on.

"Words to the wise, buddy. Don't step on the flowers. That cutie in the dress has one hell of a temper."

Rude's advance was halted momentarily by the electricity released from Ayen that took out the soldiers who had accompanied them to the church. The boy was fast. Fast enough to grab Aerith and fly out of the hole in the ceiling before he could do anything. Reno told him to go ahead and that was exactly what he'd do as he pulled back on his gloves and made a point to avoid stepping on the flowers as he entered the back of the church.

[Ayen]

"What are you doing?"

“Saving your life.”

"You can fly?

“Surprise!”

Ayen landed down on the roof top of one of the houses a couple of buildings away from where the church was located. Releasing Aerith and looking her over, asking, “You okay?” before he turned his glance back over to the church in the distance.

“Why were those people after you?”

[Cloud]

Cloud already knew Aerith liked the flowers... after all they were friends sorta. At least they were friends when he didnt distance himself from her. He expertly pivoted before running into the flower patch and jumping on the pews, running across them before jumping and bringing the blade down on top of the Turk. He didn't really like the turks to begin with.. let alone messing with his friends.

"I'm fine."

Aerith assured him after they landed and he started to look her over. Her eyes wandering back over to the church where she could hear the fighting going on inside. Hoping that it wouldn't ruin the flowers while she was away. She couldn't go back. The last thing she wanted was to be caught by them.

"I told you they intend to recruit me. They think I have what it takes to be in SOLDIER."

[Kragen]

Reno blocked with the rod and then parried the sword strikes as he stepped back on the pews, maintaining a perfect balance on top of them. Performing multiple thrusts with the blunt end of the rod towards Cloud the second he saw an opening.

[Garrus Vakarian]

Rude entered through to the second floor of the back room. It was old and mostly broken. With a running start he jumped from one side of the room to the other before proceeding up the stairs located on the other side. Reaching the top where the window was sending in bright lights from outside as he jumped another ledge. Turning the corner and jumping a third time until he reached the ladder up to the church's rafters.

Rude walked across the rafters, observing the fight between Cloud and Reno below before proceeding forward. Taking a final leap out of the hole and coming up on top of the roof of the church. Spotting Ayen and Aerith in the distance.

[Ayen]

"I told you they intend to recruit me. They think I have what it takes to be in SOLDIER."

“SOLDIER?”

Ayen had a feeling there was more to this than Aerith was letting on, and for once it wasn't just because the thoughts on the forefronts of her mind betrayed the words that came out of her mouth. Of course he wasn't ready to confess to being a telepath yet. That was a conversation best saved for later. She seemed to be taking the electricity and flight better than most though. It made him wonder just what kind of people were around here. The wondering wouldn't last long though as he saw Rude on the roof of the church.

“They're catching up. Quick where's a good place to hide?”

[Cloud]

The strike would be blocked effortlessly by the flat side of his sword. With his brute strength cloud put his free hand on the flat in and pushed against it suddenly and hard hoping to stun the Turk or possibly push him off the pews. He kept his "Mako Eyes" on the Turk the whole time.. watching for any trickery the Turk might pull on him. He heard the other Turk climb the rafters... to the hole in which the others had escaped. He had to stop that one from catching up to the others. Although he kept his attention to the turk he battled, the single black, demonic-like wing on his left side sprouted from his back and threatened to carry him to fend off the other Turk.

[Alex]

"They're like a special task force. It's hard to explain to an outsider."

The Flower Girl's eyes followed Ayen's to also find Rude standing on top of the roof of the church. It looked like that other man was only able to hold back one of them. Upon hearing Ayen's question she turned her head and looked over to the town up ahead.

"You see that TV? There's a tunnel right next to it opposite of the trailer. We can hide out in there."

[Kragen]

That superior strength you always heard about from SOLDIER operatives reeled its ugly head as Cloud knocked Reno off the pew. He was dazed for a moment and then came back to as he quickly grabbed a hard cover bible from the back shelf of one pew and threw it towards Cloud's face.

[Garrus Vakarian]

Rude wasted little time in pursuing Ayen and Aerith after spotting them from the roof of the church. Jumping up over the pile of rubble behind the church and then the rooftops that were between them. He wouldn't let either get away if he could help it. Unbeknownst to him though was the fact Cloud may very well have been right behind him.

[Ayen]

"They're like a special task force. It's hard to explain to an outsider."

“Doesn't sound like a very creative name. How do they differentiate from the regular word soldier?”

"You see that TV? There's a tunnel right next to it opposite of the trailer. We can hide out in there."

“All right. You know the drill.”

Ayen grabbed Aerith and took off into the air a second time. Flying out of Rude's field of vision and touching down on the town up ahead. Leading Aerith by the hand as they went down the tunnel.
