Kira shook his head. He had went to visit the orphanage, but when he arrived he found quite a suprise waiting for him. One of the kids had ran away. The owner had been all but, out of their mind. He sighed. He stretched out with one of his new found powers. Time to put one of the things Kissira had taught him in a real life setting. He had taken care to try to keep a note of each of their aura's in the force. He still wasn't as good as he'd like to be with this, but it was a start. He closed his eyes. Better then wondering around aimlessly. There, he could sense it in the distance. Lately there had seemed to be an increase in orphans for one reason or another. Weither it be as a result of the attack on Hallowton by Isafaro or the recent crime rate increases, but it seemed the boy had gotten frightened and ran off. Why though was still something he didn't know, but being out along at such a young age was a bad idea. He was quick to close the distance reaching out. Two, no three unkown people in the area. He quickly rounded the corner to see the one he was looking for backed into a corner the other two much bigger males nearby. ”Something I can help you guys with?” he asked. His tone was soft, but the way he held himself sent another message. It was saying they should leave, now. They just chuckled as they turned around the knifes in their hand. The kid wouldn't have anything. He sent a single glance at him while he waited for their approach. There was one still around, but where was he? He soon found his answer as he tried to grab him from behind, but Kira threw his momentum backwards throwing him into the wall before throwing his elbow back to escape his grasp before grabbing hold of his arm pushing him to send in in the path of the two incoming people. So they wanted a fight, not what Kira wanted, but he wasn't about to let them hurt the kid here either. ______________________________________________________ Key: Person to post next Song: Fields of Hope by Rie Tanaka Key: Thoughts; Dialouge

The woman was absolutely frantic; that was all he could bring himself to think as he gazed down at her. She was hugging him tightly, burying her face in his chest and utterly ruining his tailcoat with her tears. Honestly... Yes, he checked up on the orphanage once a week; made sure they had enough food for the children. It was all under Integra's orders. But by this point... The orphanage caretakers seemed to think he was some sort of saint. Now that one of their children had wandered off, they had instantly called Hellsing and now here he was. The sopping mess that was clinging to him, also the head caretaker, didn't seem to have any intention of letting him go; it was sickening. Yes, he felt sorry for her; but his poor tailcoat... And tuxedo shirt at that... The other caretakers where in their own panic stages, but at least they hadn't started clinging to him. Sebastian awkwardly pat her back a few times; struggling against the urge to forcefully pull her off him. "Milady, I'd be more than happy to find the boy, but you'll have to let me go..." His voice was silky and soft; there was no trace of his irritation or disgust upon his face or in his voice. The woman took a shuddering, gasping breath as she seemed to finally realize what she was doing; and released him quite suddenly. She tripped back and plopped down in a chair, her soaked face in her hands as she stuttered apologies. Sebastian straightened up his garb; trying to act indifferent toward the wetness from her tears. "I'll find him, I promise; Miss. Try not to worry." With those words he turned and swept out of the orphanage, leaving the building in a state of anticipation. They had mentioned something about another man who had just left to seek out the boy. He figured that unfamiliar scent he was picking up was the said man's. Actually, now that he concentrated; he had smelled the scent before... Back in Isafaro; just as he had left the tunnel which he'd made for the Resistance movement to escape from their headquarters. So what was this guy doing here? Judging from some of that radio discussion between the man and the Resistance during the attack, he had been part of the movement. So why was he here, and not in Isafaro? Well, that was a question for later. Right now, he needed to save the kid; then he needed to wash his clothing. It took no time at all for the demon to travel and trace the scent trail of the man; moving an his blurred demon speed wasted no time. When he reached the alleyway, he started to hear the voices. The butler walked straight into the alleyway to see that the man was already engaging those who were about to attack the boy, and he a rather malicious smile crossed his features. While the attackers were occupied, Sebastian moved around the edge of the alleyway and approached the terrified boy. He recognized the tall, raven haired butler; and immediately ran over to him and started to cling to his knees. And he was crying as well... Just great... Now he had ruined pants as well... Humans cried too much... Way too much... Overly sensitive creatures... Sebastian pulled a black bandanna from his pocket and knelt by the boy, he figured that he might need it; so he'd taken it from a table on his way out of the orphanage. "Do you trust me?" He asked the boy in a whisper, his lips mere centimeters from his ear. The boy whimpered quietly and nodded; clinging to his legs even tighter. "Then allow me to put this on." He folded over the black cloth and placed it over the boy's eyes; tying it neatly at the back of his head. "Just wait here, I'll return in 10 seconds." He could hear the boy starting to count under his shuddering breath. The demon rose from his kneel; prying the young boy's fingers from his leg; and took a step toward the men who were fighting the Resistance man. Sebastian took three forks from an inside pocket of his coat; yes, not knives this time. Then, in a single, smooth motion; the two charging men toppled over, stumbling over the third of their comrades who had been thrown by the Resistance man. A silver fork protruded cleanly out of the backs of their necks; buried through the flesh up to the base of the utensils. The third man had already been fallen, and so he remained on the ground with a fork sticking out of the front of his. Swiftly, without wasting a precious second, he gathered his three forks and wrapped the bloodied blades in a handkerchief before returning them to his pocket. He'd clean and sanitize them later. The three men were silently twitching upon the ground, gasping for breath. Then he was back at the boy's side, who had just reached 10 in his counting. The butler lifted the child in one arm, setting the youth on his other arm. The boy wrapped his own spindly arms around the butler's neck; seated on the strong arm which supported him and held him close to the powerful body. "I'll take off the blindfold in a few moments, Daniel." He said softly. "Just sit tight for a few minutes." The youth's body was violently trembling from the trauma he had just fallen victim too, and Sebastian was quite glad he had blindfolded him before attacking the perpetrators. Sebastian turned to leave the alleyway; fixing his gaze on the resistance man. He jerked his head slightly; non-verbally inviting him to accompany them back to the orphanage. The butler was well aware that he wouldn't have reached the boy in time if the man hadn't been there to distract the attacking trio. He would have to express proper thanks later. Kira sensed the newest arrival before he saw him. Not with those three so then what? The answer came when he saw him kneel beside the boy, so someone else looking for him. Wait, wasn't he that person he had seen back in Isafaro? What was he doing all the way out here? Another time. For now however he had to worry about was going on, but it seemed before he could the other man acted in the form of, throwing knifes forks? It however seemed to do the job, but unfortunately it was also counter productive to his goals from where it had it. He reached out with the force as their wounds started to heal slowly. A skill that was quite useful, he just needed to get a better grasp on it. However they didn't choose to continue fighting. The damage had been done. He sighed as the men scrambled to get away. Either those weren't ordinary forks or he was more then he appeared. The amount of pressure that would require. What was he exactly? He knew it was he that had helped the other Resistance members escape. Kira didn't even bother to pin it down. At least not yet. It wasn't all that important, besides in this realm it didn't really mean much. Things like this weren't all that out of place. Kira could pursue the three, but why? There was a more important matter to attend to. He reached out to make sure Daniel was alright as well. He didn't seem to be hurt, just shaken a little. He sighed letting go of his connection after taking note of Sebastian's aura. Kira followed. After all he was worried about the child getting back safely as well. ”You were back in Isafaro a few months ago weren't you? At the resistance base?” he asked quietly. He'd spare the details for Daniel. ”I'm Kira. Kira Yamato.” he said. He would offer to shake his hand, but he had his hands full already. A glance at Daniel however revealed he was already fast asleep. It caused him to chuckle slightly. ______________________________________________________ Key: Person to post next Song: Fields of Hope by Rie Tanaka Key: Thoughts; Dialouge

The moment the three men had started to move, Sebastian's eyes fell upon them; a predator staring down the prey. Each one had had a major artery pierced with one of his forks, how were they still capable of movement? He would have thought they all would die within moments, bleeding their lives out. But as the gaze zeroed in on the blood smeared across the necks, he noticed that the darker spots where the puncture wounds were located had started to lighten. They faded into the exact same shade of crimson which stained the flesh... Which meant the wounds had been healed. But they were human... It wasn't possible... Unless... The intense gaze flickered back to the Resistance man; and his suspicions were confirmed. The concentration with which the man was looking at them suggest he was doing something to heal the wounds. Sebastian just barely avoided rolling his eyes. Human's were so weak... They showed mercy to those who simply didn't deserve it. But he was still satisfied with the results. The three men had nearly been killed; and they knew to beware of the butler now. He doubted they would be targeting any more children anytime soon, either. He had left his impression, his warning, and that was what mattered. The demon couldn't care less if they lived or died; as long as the child was safe. It was strange really, to be carrying the orphan like this. He had held his former master in such a way before; this was hauntingly familiar. A mental image forced its way into his memories, and lingered for a few moments. The flashback was short lived, however. He had a new master now, and it just wouldn't do to keep pondering over the past. His attention was demanded now by a different master, a now this different child. Speaking of the child... Sebastian was suddenly aware that the child's breathing had slowed into a constant low rate, the deep breathing of sleep. The child's arms were no longer tightly wrapped around his neck, but slack. The boy's head was resting against his own head, and was also relaxed. How amusing... Human children could go through traumatizing events, then just fell asleep the moment they were safe. It was as if the said events drained their already limited strength.Such weak creatures... The butler sighed as reached toward the child's head with his free hand; grasping one of the dangling ends of the bandanna at the back of his head between a thumb and forefinger. In a smooth, graceful motion, the slip knot was undone and the fabric slipped away from the boy's face; revealing the closed eyes. He tucked the bandanna away into a pocket again, and continued to walk back toward the orphanage. The man had accepted his invitation to return to the orphanage, good. He was following at least. He seemed quite concerned for Daniel's well being, another predictable feeling for a human. Then he spoke, and Sebastian halted in his steps for a moment and turned back to face Kira with a pleasant smile on his face. So Kira recognized him then? It was a bit of a surprise. Sebastian had left the Resistance people shortly after Kira had joined them at the end of the escape tunnel. The butler allowed himself a slight bow; making certain the motion didn't dislodge the human burden on his arm, shoulder, and head. "Indeed, I was. I am Sebastian Michaelis, butler to the Hellsing Organization which resides here, at your service. It's a pleasure to properly meet and greet you, Sir." He straightened up from his bow and resumed walking toward the orphanage, they would be arriving soon. He could see the run-down building now, and the small crowd of caretakers and older orphans waiting outside and watching the road for their returning lost orphan. The moment Kira and Sebastian had rounded the bend and come into view, the cries of shock and relief broke the night's silence as the people ran toward the two who had saved Daniel. By that time, a light ran had started to fall. Kira was a little surprised as Sebastian suddenly stopped. He was slightly worried as he bowed, but it seemed he did so while safely keeping Daniel within his grasp. For a brief moment Kira wondered what he was, but did it matter? Most likely not he decided. At least not at this current point in time. He wasn't sure if anyone had said it before, he certainly hadn't. He had to take care of a few other things after the fight. ”Thanks for your help.” there was a slight pause between his next words. ”I'm not sure what would have become of everyone else if you hadn't stepped in.” he said and that was the truth of it. So many lifes had been lost that day. Kira wasn't sure how many more would have been lost if it wasn't for his assistance. Hellsing? He had heard about that group, but never actually meant them. Kira blinked as they ran over to him, of course they were concerned. The owner was frantic in saying their thanks, but Kira honestly wasn't exactly fond of this part, but the other kids were happy as well, he was quick to explain what had happened, after pulling aside the owner of course. He was sure Daniel would come up with his own version of the story, one he was sure he would hear later. It was raining, little chance of going much anywhere tonight. He sighed pulling away after that. He supposed it was just as well, meant he'd be forced to get a half decent sleep tonight. He turned to Sebastian ”You wouldn't by chance happen to know anywhere decent to eat?” he asked. He wasn't aware that Sebastian didn't eat in the same way he did. He actually knew very little about the man, other then what he had been told about him. ______________________________________________________ Key: Person to post next Song: Fields of Hope by Rie Tanaka Key: Thoughts; Dialouge

Thanks? That did come as rather a shock to him, hearing one of the Resistance people say that to him. They had been so busy after escaping that collapsing headquarters, he hadn't expected any form of gratitude; and taken his leave quietly. To be honest, and form of thanks to him were always unexpected. He had been serving humans for far too long; very few had ever been polite enough to thank a mere servant. He smiled pleasantly at Kira again, his crimson gaze softening ever so slightly. "Thanks are not needed, but you are welcome all the same. I'm quite certain they all would have found some way out without my interference, however. They were being quite stubborn in clinging to their lives."Then the mob was upon them, and Sebastian focused his attention on orphanage residents. He carefully leaned to the side so that Daniel slid from his perch, and into both of the butler's arms. He now had one arm supporting the sleeping boy's back, while the other arm was secured under the knees. It was amusing again, seeing that the chaos didn't make the child so much as stir from his deep sleep. Sebastian handed Daniel to one of the caretakers, and she bustled off into the building to lay him in a proper bed. Kira was had already explained what had taken place, so there was little for the butler to say. It wasn't long before caretakers began to herd the other children back into the orphanage to get some proper sleep; leaving only the owner and her secretary with the two rescuers. A few more thanks were given, then the two of them also left. The demon turned back to respond to Kira's question then. "There are quite a few decent places to eat in the main town. I'd be more than happy to show you around the town, if you wish." He raised him crimson gaze to the sky. "This rain won't last long."[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]________________________________ In the [stillness] of the shining skyis your [ home] of return Beyond the [darkness] Thoughts ► "Moving on..." Kira tilted his head as Sebastian spoke about the thanks he had offered. While it was possible he wondered how much of a chance they would have actually had if not for him. The base had been collapsing, after all. However before Kira could reply it seemed as if the people were already there. Kira blinked he hadn't honestly been expecting a tour. He had been a few times, but it seemed every time he did come it was different then before. It was constantly evolving, but fortunately it hadn't affected where Kissira's ship was. He was wondering to do with that now that it was actually done. Simply taking it out of the city didn't seem a likely option, as someone would notice, but at the same time leaving it there was also out of the question. He cleared his thoughts, one thing at a time. For now this. Kira slightly looked up at the rain. It didn't seem like it would, but it was honestly hard to tell with it already being night. ”I'd appreciate that.” he said quietly thinking. ”What makes you think the rain will let up soon?” he asked. Sure it had to disappear at some point, but it had just started. Odd that it'd disappear just as quickly. ______________________________________________________ Key: Person to post next Song: Fields of Hope by Rie Tanaka Key: Thoughts; Dialouge

His gaze dropped from the sky back to Kira, his smile pleasant. He bowed his head slightly to the acceptance on Kira's part. "The clouds are thin, and the air isn't heavy. I believe it safe to predict that the rain will stop in around 15 minutes. It will probably start up again later this evening, and be a heavier rain; due to the wind blowing in thicker clouds." He wasn't some meteorologist or anything, it was really just being hyper-sensitive to his surroundings. He noticed the most subtle things, the slightest change in the air. But that would be difficult to explain without revealing to Kira that he wasn't human at all. The man probably already suspected he wasn't human, simply from the fact that those forks he'd thrown had pierced flesh and bone. But he would leave the guy guessing for now. Sebastian turned toward the main path they had just come from; which would take them back into the city. He expected that Kira would follow, and set off at a leisurely pace. Every minute that passed which result in the rain lightening, just as he had predicted. By the time they reached the main shopping area, it had all but stopped; and there were people in the streets again. As they walked, the butler pointed out a few of the diners and restaurants, offering a few words about each one. Of course, he didn't eat; so he couldn't speak about the food, but that wasn't important. Kira simply watched Sebastian as he spoke, whatever he had intended Kira definitely knew he was something more then human, but with this realm, that meant very little and left many options as to what he could be. He might just know how to check for the weather, but somehow it didn't quite seem within his realm. Soon enough however it proved to be right. He wasn't surprised it could be predicted, in his realm in the colonies such things were controlled. In his time here however he hadn't seen anything close to what would have been needed. He did slightly turn his attention to Sebastian after that. Hellsing organization? He had heard of them, but he wasn't quite sure what their aim was. He was their butler? That was quite a change from being in Isafaro. ”So why here of all places, if you don't mind me asking?” he asked. He could wait on food, he had only asked because of the rain, but that had seemed to have stopped. He blinked as a small mechanical bird came down on his shoulder and perched itself tilting it's head to study Sebastian. Kira blinked. It was even way out here? He chuckled to himself quietly. Wasn't Hellsing linked to the Queen? He wasn't quite sure. ______________________________________________________ Key: Person to post next Song: Fields of Hope by Rie Tanaka Key: Thoughts; Dialouge

Sebastian was silent for a moment as Kira's next question rose. There were so many things he could say in response, but he was sworn to a certain level of secrecy... In more ways than one. So he would have to chose his words carefully. As they passed between different shops and diners at a rather slow pace so as not to jostle the crowd, he finally answered. "Why here, you ask... That question could take on any manner of meaning, so I'm assuming you are asking why I am here and not in Isafaro... Hallowton is where Hellsing resides, in service to the Queen herself. My past visit to Isafaro, when I first met you and you Resistance friends, that was before Hellsing employed me. A few days after that incident, I was recruited to work for them." Easy enough explanation. It didn't give anything away really; neither about Hellsing nor himself. As they continued to walk, he pointed out a few more possible diners; before he finally halted in their walk. They were now standing in the middle of the main square, crowds jostling around them as locals carried out their usual business. He turned his piercing crimson gaze back to Kira and spoke again. "Have any of the diners struck your fancy, Kira Sir? I do have duties to return to back at Hellsing Manor; I'm afraid I may have to take my leave soon. You are of course, more than welcome to visit the estate; perhaps your services can be employed, if you have need of it." He allowed his gaze to flick to the metal bird, but staring was impolite; so the gaze didn't linger. He would be quick to return his attention Kira. Kira only listened to his explanation. It wasn't quite what he had meant by the question, but he would suppose it was his fault for not really clarifying, but rather he had been wanting to know what had drew him here. The atmosphere between the two was entirely different. It was a really big contrast as opposed to what had drew him to Isafaro and the conflict in the first place. He would've clarified his mistake, but then Sebastian mentioned he had to leave. Kira blinked. ”Oh. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to keep you from doing your job. I'll be going then. Take care of yourself Sebastian.” he said beginning to walk off. Hellsing. He had heard about them, but not quite what they were or even their goals, mostly the political side of it and rather their affiliations. He normally kept track of such a thing, but the offer would remain he was sure, the only question was if he would take it later down the road. ______________________________________________________ Key: Person to post next Song: Fields of Hope by Rie Tanaka Key: Thoughts; Dialouge
