It was supposed to be a normal training session. Nothing was supposed to go wrong. Albeit, Saber isn't versatile in magic, he still knows it's ins and outs. There shouldn't have been any possible way for the two portals to merge. Not to mention sucking him and his Master up and spitting them out here. The thought of this being a backlash of the Grail's power had crossed Saber's mind. A bright light surrounded him as he summoned his magical armor and Invisible Air. He walked to Ayaka and held out his left hand to her. "Come. I know not where we are... but as your Servant, I will protect you. I think we should find out where we are first, don't you?"
Ayaka hesitantly took hold of Saber's hand as he gently helped her to her feet. Saber never loosened his grip on Invisible Air as he turned and walked to the edge of the skyscraper. He scanned the city, trying to find any clue he could as to help ascertain their location. "Saber, I don't recognize this city. I know for a fact we are no longer in Japan... And this doesn't seem to be America."
Saber barely moved his head in the form of a nod in agreement with his Master. "Well... it seems we may have to go down to the streets to find that out." Saber's gaze locked to the street directly below him. Ayaka timidly joined his side and grasped onto some of his loose clothing. "Considering I speak only Japanese, you may have to speak for me. Take me down. Maybe we can find a map."
Saber gently hooked his left arm around Ayaka's back and guarded her front with his Invisible Air. His body leaned over the edge of the building, pulling his Master with him. "Close your eyes, and hold tight." Saber spoke to Ayaka with a smile. She quickly turned her gaze from his face and closed her eyes. She wrapped her arms around his upper body and squeezed as hard as her arms would allow. Saber pushed off of the rooftop with his feet and darted toward to ground.
The Servant outstretched his right leg and gently made contact with the side of the building as he fell. He let the stationary wall drag his foot behind him as his left leg followed suit. To many, it would appear as though he was running down the wall, but in reality he was just using the building as a bit of a brake. Even though it never stopped him completely, that isn't what he wanted. Spotting no civilians below them, Saber pulled his weapon behind his back and slashed forward.
This wasn't an attack. Saber was using Invisible Wind Slash as a sort of propulsion upwards against the direction the two were free falling. This acted as a cushion for their landing. It may not have done an incredible amount, but it did help with the force of stopping instantly to his Master. Saber isn't human, so it wouldn't have done any harm to him in the slightest. Upon landing as softly as he could, Saber easily released his arm from his Master, who finally opened her eyes.
Ayaka looked to be a little out of it, so Saber shook her by her shoulder slightly. Ayaka's eyes tightened as she stared at her Servant. However, Saber began laughing hysterically. "Wh.. What is so funny Saber!?" Her words seemed to echo off of every building in the city. After a few second, Saber pointed to his Master's head. She finally realized that her hair looked like she just stepped behind a 757 airliner. She furiously put her hair back in order and glared at Saber.
"Well, now that that's taken care of.. Let's find out where we are." Ayaka huffed through her nose and took a few strides ahead of Saber.

”Remind me again why we’re here?” Nadia asked as she and Rebecca walked along the length of the city trying to find some sort of human contact, one that can lead them out of the city and to safer grounds, it was incredible that they had survived for this long considering not only how dangerous the city was but also that the two girl’s personality was quite contrasting from each other. Rebecca was quiet and reserved always thinking on how to do things while Nadia was more of a reckless girl who charged head first without a second thought, when they had first met they were quite surprised that they were from the same Earth but different events, for Rebecca it was strange that aliens would be attacking Earth while Nadia was surprised zombies existed.
But either way the two girls were now together, inseperable even, and they decided to travel together until they were able to find someone that would take the two of them. ”Because” Rebecca replied, ”I thought I heard something here and I want to check it out” as she gripped her handgun tightly as Nadia did with hers sighing. ”And anyways why are you so talkative today?” Rebecca asked with a small smile.
”I’m always talkative” Nadia retorted as the former S.T.A.R.S medic giggled as the two of them then heard some voices around the corner. They instinctively pressed themselves against the wall, they knew that Isafaro was in the middle of a civil war; both were actually trying to find the Resistance so they could join them. Rebecca because the other side reminded her too much of Wesker and Nadia because she was sorely reminded of her own dictators as Rebecca peeked through the corner to see a blonde boy wearing some sort of armour and a girl with him as well…neither of them seemed like they were part of Vulture as Rebecca looked at Nadia who nodded wordlessly.
They then came out of the corner but with their weapons ready as they approached the pair, ”Excuse me but do you need any assistance?” Rebecca asked as Nadia looked around them to make sure that they weren’t walking into a trap. It was a common tactic in her world to have a decoy who acted hurt and then ambush the rescuing party, it was despicable but she had seen her share of war despite her relative calm childhood.

Saber was still trying to quell his Master's frustration while he followed her, laughing all the way. A short time passed before Ayaka stopped and turned to Saber. Her eyes were still narrowed as she glared at him. "Stop laughing! Haven't you carried on long enough?" Saber began apologizing with an earnest smile. He noted that her actions like that are what make her act herself.
Her blushing face was good enough a response for Saber. He bowed to her lightly and began to scan the area. For a metropolis of this scale, he was sure that there would be at least some amount of activity. Even in the small city that Ayaka lived there was some form of presence, even at night. His posture never faltered. He was becoming increasingly cautious.
"Master. Stay close to me." Ayaka nodded and returned to Saber's side. His left arm distinctively raised, as to guard her. He lifted his Invisible Air as his eye continued to wander the area, looking for any notion of movement. However, it was a voice that came from behind them that caused Ayaka to shriek in fright.
Saber quickly turned to his right to face the source of the voice, keeping his Master guarded. The one whom had spoken out to them was a girl, but she wasn't alone. The woman before Saber spoke out in English. His head turned to his Master while keeping his eyes glued to the newcomers. "Master, she asked if we need assistance, however... do not let your guard down." Saber didn't bother lowering his voice, for he was certain the two women wouldn't be able to understand him.
Ayaka nodded in agreement to her Servant's warning. Saber turned back to the girls and stood in a defensive pose. He had put Invisible Air to his side not wanting to expose magic to normal humans, as that was a rule in the Holy Grail war. He slowly nodded to them, however keeping his left arm covering his Master who was behind him. "Yes.. Our circumstances are a little.. strange. Actually, we'd just like to know where we are. We got dumped in this city not long ago."

The blonde man reacted quickly as he pulled the woman to his side and seemed to be defending her as the two soldiers expected, they did have weapons drawn and to any soldier that could be indicative of a hostile presence, they were just lucky that the male decided to ask questions first instead of attacking immediately. They would have no choice but to open fire and considering that both people seemed to be unarmed it would be completely unfair as Rebecca tried to act friendly towards them as Nadia kept her guard up, ”It’s okay we’re not here to hurt you” she said.
The man then said something to the woman in a language Nadia didn’t understand but Rebecca did, it was Japanese and she had learnt it during a semester in her university, she wasn’t a fluent speaker but she could understand what the male was telling the woman. She didn’t show that she could understand what the two were talking about as she waited for the male to stop talking and then turned to the two women as he explained their circumstances. It sounded similar to what happened to Nadia and Rebecca in that a portal pulled both of them into this world as Rebecca smiled, ”I understand, a portal pulled both of you into this world right? It happened to us too. You’re in a nation called Isafarno, unfortunately this nation is in the middle of a civil war so it’s quite dangerous at the moment, neither of us are affiliated with any sides though we are looking for the Resistance so we can help whichever way we can” Rebecca explained.
”Mon dieu Rebecca” Nadia whined, ”we’re too open here…we need to get to cover soon” she said as she didn’t like the fact that they were quite open like this. A sniper can easily kill them with a single bullet, she would much rather be under cover then standing here talking like nothing was happening.
”Be patient Nadia, we’ll get to cover soon” Rebecca said turning to Saber, ”I apologise for my friend, she’s quite weary of our situation. I’m Rebecca Chambers and that’s Nadia Cassel, what are your names?”

The Servant's grip on his invisible weapon never loosened, even when the girl said they meant no ill will. However, his facial expression and posture finally changed upon hearing a situation like their own. His left arm lowered, and his eyes widened slightly. A magical portal brought them both here as well, however he couldn't sense any magic from the two girls. He turned to his Master to ask if she could, which she replied with a head shake.
Saber translated the rest of what the woman said to Ayaka, honestly for no reason. Upon his summon to the modern world, the Grail bestowed knowledge of it to Saber. There is no Isafaro. Not on Earth anyway. "Master... I have a feeling we are no longer on Earth." Ayaka's eyes snapped to Saber's turned face. She couldn't see the expression he was making, which caused her to worry even more. Just exactly what were they supposed to do know, neither of them knew.
"I don't like it much, but we may have to trust those two for now... Can your Invisible Air deflect bullets, Saber?" With a nod, Saber's weapon vanished with a gust of wind. His green eyes hadn't left two two girls' figures. It wasn't until after he heard to second's girl concern about being open did he decide to speak again, but instead allowed them to introduce themselves.
"My name is Saber, and this is my Master, Ayaka Sajyou. I also agree with Nadia, was it? We do seem to be in the open. We would make easy targets, regardless who would attack. In all honesty though, the only ones I'm worried about being in the open are you two." Saber finally peeled his eyes from the girls and scanned the area. There wasn't much he could see that would be suitable cover, until he came across stairs that lead underground. "Come. I will lead. I can only hope those stairs lead to a subway... If not, it'll still provide ample overhead cover, no?"

The facial expression on Saber was indicative enough for the two soldiers to know what happened to them, so it seemed that they were also brought into this world through a portal, Rebecca wondered how many other people would be pulled into Genesis as well…it was a frightening thought that there would be someone who can pull people from other worlds and just simply put them here. Rebecca just hoped that whoever, or whatever, it was wouldn’t try and destroy Genesis with them on it. Saber then translated the basic summary to Ayaka as her own eyes widened in surprise, it was the same expression Nadia and Rebecca had when they first heard where they were and that they were no longer on Earth.
Of course their goal now was to eventually find a way back home, but if they weren’t able to do that then they would have to find something to do and working with the Resistance against an evil dictator sounds like a job the two of them could handle. The two people introduced themselves as Rebecca wondered about the ‘master’ part, were they from some sort of medieval age? Their clothes looked too modern though they could be from a different Earth. Saber then commented that it was best that they did get to cover though he was more worried about Rebecca and Nadia as Nadia laughed, ”Do not worry about us Monseiur Saber, we’re soldiers, we’re used to this kind of things” she said but the two of them followed Saber anyways until they reached some sort of stairs that led to an underground place as Rebecca nodded in acknowledgement as Nadia seemed to look all around with the eye of a soldier, ”Oui, you can lead the way if you wish.”

Saber chuckled at Nadia's comment. He admired her confidence. "Your attitude is admirable. As a knight, I can appreciate that." He bowed curtly, placing his right hand over his heart. Ayaka tugged on his garb, urging him to hurry and get them to cover. Agreeing with her, he grabbed her hand and quickly made his way to the stairs.
Every other step Saber would look over his shoulder to affirm Rebecca and Nadia were close. He may have to trust them, but he wasn't fully convinced. His concern lay with the safety and protection of his Master. They reached the stairs below ground in a short time. Saber stopped at the side of the stairs and told Ayaka to not move. He had taken note of the two girls' movements. They appeared to him like modern day Earth military movements.
Saber had hope the other two would cover on the opposite side of the stairs before he made his next move. "Ayaka. Stay here." He turned his eyes to his Master with a solid expression. Once he received an agreement from her he stood up and cautiously made his way to the steps. He held his hands in front of him while summoning his Invisible Air in a flash of light. He gripped the handle of his weapon and paused for a moment. The wind around his invisible blade began to stir. Bringing the blade above his head, he sliced downwards at a nonexistent foe, blasting wind into the open darkness the stairs lead to.
"Well, I didn't hear and grunts or anything.. I guess nothing is down there." A bright smile crossed his face as he turned to his Master. The look on her face however, was the opposite. "Don't you ever scare me like that again, Saber!" Ayaka shrieked at her Servant, who responded with a hearty laugh. Saber turned to the two girls with them for a reaction before proceeding down the stairs. The area below was pitch black. The only thing that could be heard was light footsteps from the three girls, and clanking of metal from Saber's greaves.

Nadia gave a small smirk as Saber complimented her, it was quite strange for the man to call himself a knight, but it only reinforced Rebecca’s belief that these two people were from a different Earth then the ones Rebecca and Nadia came from as the four of them decended down the stairs. It was quite dark and cold underneath the streets, it was almost like being in a wind tunnel, Rebecca gave a small shiver but managed to control her body temperature, she was reminded that of the time she was in the Arklay Mountains, where at any time a zombie might lunge at them and try to eat them alive…she had enough terrible experiences with the darkness to last her a life time but she continued to trudge through knowing, hoping, that there aren’t any zombies here to attack them.
Both of them noticed that Saber seemed to be looking back at his shoulder now and again to see if they were following him, whether this was because he wanted to make sure they were alright or it was because he was still suspicious of them the girls didn’t know, but at the same time Nadia was wary of the new pair mainly because it was her soldier instincts kicking in. Then without warning Saber seemed to be doing something before a great gust of wind ran through the entire corridor as the two girls immediately took to cover and readied themselves for a fight…but there was only silence that greeted them as Saber then said that the area was clear as Ayaka seemed angry.
Rebecca sighed while Nadia looked annoyed, ”Non, non! You might as well tell anyone around the area that we are here. We should be more quiet then this especially in the middle of a battlefield” the French girl remarked as Rebecca patted the girl’s head.
”Calm down Nadia, I’m sure Saber meant well. But yes I do think that we need to be silent from here on in, even we are not sure what kind of enemies we might encounter here” Rebecca said looking at the pair.

Saber's joyous nature took over him as he continued to laugh at the girls' words. All three of them seemed to be ganging up on him. Eventually he stopped and nodded at Ayaka. She seemed to get the hint he was giving her, because she began to draw a smile circle on the ground with strange markings. She pulled a small clear stone from her pocket and held it in both of her hands above the circle. "Egredere lux et gubernet nos!"
The stone in Ayaka's hands began emit a bright light. She cupped it in her right hand to dim it, as to not blind herself from the sudden surge of light. With the stone in hand, Ayaka began to point it around the area to reveal a row of large pillars on either side of the wide room. "As I though. It's a type of subway... Ah, I suppose some sort of explanation for this is in order."
Saber turned to the company he and his Master now have. The bright smile finally wiped away from Saber's face. He knew these girls were mortal soldiers and honestly meant him and his Master no harm. He dismissed his Invisible Air and folded his arms. "If one had to guess, I'd say you both are from Earth, correct? We are as well. Ayaka here is from Japan. I however... Well, that's a different story."[/b]
The knight pressed his back against the pillar in front of Ayaka as he spoke. "What comes to mind when I say magic?"

Ayaka then began to draw something on the ground as the two girls looked at it in curiosity, surely this wasn’t the time to make some drawings right? But then after Ayaka was finished with the drawing, which suspiciously looked like a magic circle, she began to chant something before a bright white light blinded the girls. When their eyes had gotten used to the sudden light it illuminated the entire area as Saber’s initial guess that it was a subway of some kind seemed to be correct as Rebecca seemed interested in the surroundings while Nadia was interested in the white bright light that Ayaka used.
Saber then looked at the girls as he began to address them, correctly assuming that they are from Earth as well as telling them that Ayaka was from Japan. Rebecca already assumed that but she didn’t say anything, she didn’t want to tell them that she knew that they were whispering with each other about, as the girls simply nodded as Saber then asked them what they thought about magic.
Both girls looked at each other as Rebecca spoke first, ”Well…I guess I think about the magic shows that I used to go to as a kid, there’s also Merlin the Magician from the stories of King Arthur and a whole host of other things I can mention” she said as Nadia nodded, ”I’m guessing that you are not from Ayaka’s world so to speak right?” she guessed.

Saber turned to look at Ayaka as Rebecca mentioned Merlin and King Arthur. A monstrous laugh bellowed from the depths of Saber's lungs. Ayaka had to stifle a little giggle as well. Saber was holding his stomach from laughing while Ayaka noticed Nadia eyes the stone. She walked over to her and held the stone in front of her. "You are right to immediately think of King Arthur and Merlin... You are only half right about Saber though."It took some time, but Saber had recovered from his fit of laughing. He had to wipe away a tear in one of his eyes, and catch his breath. He steadied his breathing before speaking. "My apologies. I meant nothing ill by laughing, however.. I just found it ironic... Yes I am from Earth, just not the same time as Ayaka." Saber paused for a moment, to think of where to start. Eventually he came up with a conclusion and walked over to the girls. "Ayaka is a chosen Master in the Holy Grail Wars. As you can guess, it is a war for the mystical Holy Grail. It is capable of granting any wish to the one whom obtains it. Masters summon Heroic Spirits of the past or future to fight for them in this war. Heroic Spirits are warriors who's deeds are admirable enough to be recorded in history. I am one of those Heroic Spirits." Saber stopped once he reached his Master's side in front of the girls. The Servant held his hands before his chest as though he were holding a sword. With another flash of light he summoned his Invisible Air. The wind around his blade started to swirl around the blade. Golden light rose from his hands making their way upwards. As the light traveled, a magnificent sword took shape. After Saber's weapon became full, he slowly spun the tip of the blade downwards and touched the ground with it and rest his hands on the hilt. "My name is Arthur Pendragon. To history books, I am King Arthur."[/b]

Saber then laughed as Nadia and Rebecca looked at each other, what was it that Rebecca said that was so funny? It was as though he found what she said about King Arthur funny as Rebecca pouted a little as Ayaka said that she was correct in her thinking of King Arthur and Merlin but was half-right about Saber as Rebecca wondered what she meant by that. Saber then went on to explain about the Holy Grail war, after he had stopped laughing, as Nadia and Rebecca’s eyes widened at such a tale, Rebecca herself had heard plenty of stories about the fabled item, an item like that would be worth…well almost immeasurable.
The more that the girls hear about the details of the war the more that Rebecca was starting to think that their world was more dangerous then theirs, sure they didn’t have zombies or mad dictators, but to think that every day would be fighting a hidden war that nobody knew about? Well it reminded her a lot about what could happen if things like those weren’t regulated and she didn’t know if Nadia and Rebecca would have survived such a thing…Ayaka seemed like a normal girl and how she got roped into this mess was a mystery that Rebecca would need to solve. But heroic spirits? Well that could constitute dozens of legendary heroes and figures throughout history, personally if Nadia was part of this war she would have chosen Joan of Arc, France’s saint, while Rebecca would have perhaps chosen someone who could fight well while Rebecca provide some aid now and again.
But the biggest surprise was what Saber told them, after an interesting and magnificent display of showmanship he then held up his sword before announcing he was the King Arthur of legend as the two girls looked at him in shock. ”Y-you’re King Arthur?” Nadia exclaimed as she looked the man up and down before looking at Saber suspiciously and then saying, ”but…you sure don’t look like a King.”

This time it was Ayaka's turn to laugh like a mad person. The reaction Saber received from Nadia amused her to no end. However, Saber glared at her from the corner of his eyes. "Well, I was also right in assuming you can understand me." Ayaka gave Rebecca a wry smile. This girl is shy at times, and she is smart. Sometimes too smart, as Saber would say. "Even in your armor, and Excalibur, you don't seem kingly" she said while patting Saber's back.
The Servant let out a disappointing sigh and smiled. He shook his head and looked at Rebecca with a grin. "Wasn't I declared King at a young age in your history books? I suppose you really can't trust text written by someone you don't know..."[/b] Saber smiled brightly and dismissed Excalibur with another gust of wind. He placed his right hand over his heart and bowed to Rebecca and Nadia.
"Again, I must apologize. The wind I shot out from my blade earlier was a test for you two. If you would have attacked us, I'm afraid I would have had to retaliate. I swore to protect my Master by the contract of my summoning. It is my duty as a knight, and a Servant. Please forgive me."[/b]

Rebecca also couldn't help but laugh at Nadia's remark, although the man did look quite handsome and also polite, he just didn't look like what she thought King Arthur would look like. However it seemed Ayaka also seemed to have enjoyed the batner much to Saber's dissapointment as he sighed and told Rebecca that stories of him often talked about him receiving Excalibur at a young age as Rebecca stopped laughing and nodded, "Yes that is true but also at the same time the stories talked about you receiving your sword during your teenage years, you certainly don't look like a teenager, we were expecting something else. But please do forgive us for laughing at you" she said with a smile.
Saber then dismissed his sword with another gust of wind as he apologized for the earlier attack, it seemed that the attack was actually a test to see if the two girls would back stab them, it sounded fair enough. Nadia had been wary of the two until just now but it seemed she had relaxed, at least she thinks that neither of them would attack them, but nonetheless it was still clear from her stance that she was still prepared for any number of attacks to come right now. Although they may be safe underground it still didn't mean that Vulture troops wouldn't come bearing down on them, especially with the ruckus Saber made, "Oui, I kind of understand what you meant" Nadia replied, "but I think we should get out of here immediately in case Vulture troops come bearing on us."

Ayaka smiled to Saber in admiration. Regardless of how he acts, she thinks highly of him. He has saved, protected, and taught her many things, many times. She snapped back into reality and shined the stone around the now brightened corridor. She stopped for a moment and thought about their situation. "Rebecca, you said that this city is in a civil war, right?"
The young Master strode over to the wall and began inspecting various areas of it. It was a long wall, and she knew this process would take some time. She turned to Saber and squinted at his clothes. Picking up on the hint, Saber acknowledged what she wanted. A visible squall encircled the Servant. A mere second passed by before air calmed. His armored blue attire was no longer on his body. He now stood in his modern day clothes of black boots, jeans, a red shirt, and black coat.
Saber walked down the hall a bit and scanned the area in front of him. He knew they had no real choice but to keep moving while waiting for daylight. "I know what you're thinking Saber... But if there are trained soldiers out there, I'm not sure how many bullets you can actually stop." Ayaka spoke without looking at him. Both Master and Servant were concerned about the coming hours.
"Regardless of who we come across, if they mean you any harm; I will cut them down. It is my duty as your Servant." Saber turned back to Rebecca and Nadia with a grin. "I would rather you two call me Saber." Ayaka walked up to Saber and slapped his shoulder. "Now then... As per stereotypes, resistance groups often move underground, right? I'm pretty sure if this world follows said stereotypes, then if we continue, we should meet them... I just hope they don't try to shoot first, ask questions later..." Ayaka's last statement trailed off into a mopey tone.
