Guardian Angel (MIRACLE)

Michael flew through the vast sky as he looked down on the refugees running from the terrible civil war, he shook his head in sorrow, how could humans be so cruel to one another? Through history humans have shown that they can be kind to one another and live in harmony but at the drop of a hat they can also be cruel to each other and invent monstrous machines of war...it was something that he had asked the Lord so many times but all the answer he got in return was that humans were flawed and that they make mistakes all the time. Michael had hoped that in time humans would come to see that what they are doing to each other is harmful and that the sooner they stop these petty wars and fighting the sooner that they will be able to heal.

Currently he was flying overhead to make sure that no evil befall upon these travellers, they had already suffered much with escaping their cruel fate in Isafaro, they do not need to suffer here. He sighed hoping that nothing would happen now as the only thing greeting him was the long line of refugees and the vast empty wasteland.

After the trials in America, getting back her home only to lose it again, and the death of her oldest friend Solomon, the High Priestess just wanted some time to herself. With her staff, short sword and King James bible in hand, Miracle set off down the pavement and retreated into the depths of her own thoughts. It wouldn't be too long before this place was stormed by the demons that already conquered half the continent and only had three cities to go before Jherra was dominated by the Netherrealm. And if they managed to claim the Downward Spiral on top of that Miracle shuddered to think what damage they'd do to the rest of Genesis and the universes. The High Priestess was pulled out of her thoughts when she noticed a shadow of something flying through the air pass her and she looked up to see...

To lose a home was something that Michael had never thought before, his home was in Heaven with his Lord commanding his armies, it could never be lost so he didn't know what the people would be feeling. But he understood the pain of being under attack by supernatural forces, the forces of Satan had always preyed on the Lord's creation and time and time again Michael had seen the aftermath of such things.

Suddenly there was a shriek from the air as Michael's head snapped up, a lone small dragon was making it's way to the refugees, no doubt finding them easy snack to prey on. He drew his sword, the blade glistening under the sun as it radiated a holy aura, as he propelled himself towards the dragon, "Thou shall not harm them!" he cried out as his blade met with the sharp claws of the dragon.

The dragon shrieked and blasted Michael with searing hot flame as he flew up in the air and evaded being burned to a crisp. He then flew around the dragon's back, avoiding the tail, before summoning a storm of holy blades as they pelted the dragon with it as it roared in anger and pain.

Michael then switched his current weapons for the halberd as it roared with holy flames as he dashed towards the dragon, gaining momentum as he did so before he dashed upwards and then quickly downwards as the halberd's blade sliced through the dragon's neck. Both detached bodies fell to the ground quickly before reaching it with a loud thump as Michael flew down to see if the dragon was truly dead, poking it a few times he confirmed it was dead as he looked at the refugees. "Do not fear, the Lord will protect you from all danger! Believe in him and he shall save you" he cried out.

[Miracle]

"Michael?"

Miracle couldn't believe her eyes. The archangel of Michael was in Kari and now he was doing battle with a mysterious dragon that came forth from the tower. By the time she reached Michael he had already slain the dragon, saving the refugees in record time before even Kari troops had time to react. Violet eyes looking to the archangel in both shock and joy, unaware that this Michael was not the one from her world.

"Michael! What are you doing here? Did Lord Yahweh summon you?"

The Archangel's eyes went to Miracle as she called his name out, how did she know his name? Was she too some sort of angel? Or did he look similar to someone also called Michael? Nonetheless she seemed pleased to see him as he smiled before she asked him if Yahweh have sent him to her. He knew that one of the Lord's name was Yahweh, but that had not been used in a long time as he tilted his head slightly, "While it is true that I do serve Our Lord, I have not heard a human call him Yahweh in a very long time" he told the woman.

Miracle frowned. Yahweh was God's primary name here and for Michael to say that meant that this was not the same arcangel who's spirit once merged with her in order to fight Maya when she made siege of Hallowton one year ago. Nevertheless he was still an angel of the LORD and should be treated as such.

"Forgive me. I confused you with another. You see in this realm the LORD is known first and primary as Lord Yahweh. Even the angels of heaven address him as such. If you have not heard the name uttered for a long time then I can only assume you're from another world. Can you tell me where you hail from? What your world is called?"

Ah so the Lord was called Yahweh in this world, an old fashioned name but it was a name nonetheless, Michael wondered if he would ever be able to meet another angel from this world. It would be interesting to see what kind of powers they possess, and their attitude most of all...perhaps he would be fortunate to meet this world's Michael? "It is true that I am from another world, I hail from Earth where the Lord has reigned over his Kingdom for a long time, and we the angels protect the mortals from the clutches of Satan. Tell me...is the Fallen Angel Satan still trapped in his prison?" he asked dreading that Satan was free in this world and that he would be causing trouble in this world.

[Miracle]

"It is true that I am from another world, I hail from Earth where the Lord has reigned over his Kingdom for a long time, and we the angels protect the mortals from the clutches of Satan. Tell me...is the Fallen Angel Satan still trapped in his prison?"

The High Priestess was unable to suppress the frown that was now drawn on her features at the mention of the Father of Lies. Remembering her encounter with the devil himself back in the Jherrazad Desert not long after his escape. The Aircano Elders had wanted her to go with an army but she refused to put anyone lives in danger. Instead it was just her and her wits against the devil. The images of hell that he cast upon her was so real yet she refused to believe the LORD would forsake her as such and if he did she would have accepted it. But that was not to be.

"Beelzebub, as he is called in this world, is free. He has been for a full year however he had made few appearances as he prefers to work through the folly of man. I have only come to meet him face to face once and I assure you that was more than enough..."

Michael frowned, that was the last thing that he wanted to hear, he knew how dangerous Beelzebub could be. He had fought with him a number of times and he truly deserved the title of being Satan's second-in-command; he only hoped that there was someone that was fighting hard against the hordes of demons or else he would have a lot of work to do. He was more surprised that this woman had faced with him and survived, most would have been killed, or driven mad by such an encounter, "You are truly blessed by the Lord then if you have survived such an encounter, I am saddened to hear that Beelzebub is roaming free in this world...I have faced him numerous times and his powers are no laughing matter, but regardless I shall protect this convoy from whatever danger they may face, as is my duty."

[Miracle]

"I am."

It made her smile just knowing how blessed she was by the LORD. It was why in spite of everything Miracle had never once walked away, nor did the thought of abandoning her god ever enter her mind even for a moment.

"It is good to have you with us, Saint Michael. Lord Yahweh actually isn't that far from here if you wish to speak with him."

Michael didn't know whether she meant it literally, or metaphorically, but either way he was glad that she was a true believer of the Lord. He smiled and bowed when, but was surprised when the woman told him that this world's Lord was not far from here as he nodded, "If it is not too much trouble for you, or Lord Yahweh then I would be more then honoured to meet him, I wish to pay him homage as it is right to give him thanks wherever, and whenever we are," Michael said.

Jeho was in one of the Kari's shelters east of where Miracle and Michael were currently, overseeing to the recovery of several Aircano refugees and giving them hope while those from Kari and Utopia alike were skeptical still that this was the real Lord Yahweh. Or in Utopia's case, if he was still even a god. For now Jeho paid them no heed as he allowed his more forgiven and merciful side to show while walking through the halls of the first floor of the shelter bringing happiness to those of Aircano who finally got to see the face of their creator.

[Miracle]

"If it is not too much trouble for you, or Lord Yahweh then I would be more then honoured to meet him, I wish to pay him homage as it is right to give him thanks wherever, and whenever we are."

"Just follow me."

Miracle smiled and led Michael to the shelter to the east, coming through the main entrance and seeing Jeho across the hall from the lobby. Walking over and kneeling down before him with her head bowed and eyes close.

"I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High."

Miracle kept her head down and her eyes closed. Even though she was saw with favor in the eyes of the Lord she still found herself unworthy to look up and set her eyes upon his face even now. Seeing herself as no more than a humble and loyal servant.

"Saint Michael wishes to speak with you. He is from a parallel dimension from our own but he wishes to aid in our campaign against the Netherrealm all the same."

Michael walked with Miracle as she led him towards Yahweh, he wondered briefly what he would be like, would he be the same as the Lord that he knew and served? Or would he act in a different way then what he is used to? Whatever the answer might be it was still prudent that he would visit Yahweh and talk to him, if only to gain some information on this world.

After walking into the shelter Miracle then bowed her head as Michael did the same before telling the God that about Michael. When she was done he stepped forward, his head still down, before kneeling, "My Lord, and my God, I come before you singing your praise. I am Michael, I have come from another world as you have been told, I am ready to serve you as an agent of your will and to destroy all evil that stands upon your creation O Lord," he said.

Jeho turned his head and smiled as he watched the High Priestess comes towards him. A surprised expression flashed across his features for a second at the appearance of the arcangel Michael at her side. His expression soon changed to normal as Miracle knelt down in front of him and Michael followed suit. He waited for Miracle to finish before replying.

"Rise, Miracle. Take your place by my side."

He then turned his attention over to Michael with a frown.

"You shouldn't have come here. Your presence will only serve to upset the balance further. I suppose... it makes little difference now. Tell me, Saint Michael, are there any others who came here with you?"
