Name: Grey Everlost
Aliases: Man of the Scythe, The Kind Darkness
Age: Unknown (youthful in appearance)
Gender: Male
Species: Reaper
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Canon or Original: Original
Date of Birth: Unknown
Place of Birth: Unknown
Physical Appearance:
Grey is a simple looking human, though the mark of the reaper is evident on his lower arm. Dark hair and bright blue eyes, likes to wear heavy looking cloaks to hide objects and weapons inside. A tendency to keep away from others, his appearance seems to make him nearly completely inconspicuous to others, short of taking off the hood he always wears and revealing his eyes.
His shoes are leather fine looking boots.
Surprisingly, all this heavy looking clothing hardly weighs a feather.
Special Abilities:
Can increase his own speed to nearly double that the human eye can detect.
Has a particular weakness to most magic, except shadow magic.
Able to use the "Death Run" attack in moments of need, where the attack recreates the targets worst nightmares, assaulting their minds, before he uses his incredible speed to physically incapacitate (and possibly kill) his target.
Mainly uses shadow and illusionary spells, and occasionally will use items he has in his cloak.
Weapons: Uses a large scythe, and a pistol.
Personality: Rather quiet, and well spoken. Tends to use older terms and doesn't seem to understand more modern concepts such as the ways of modern relationships.
His naivety in social skills is countered by his constantly cautious nature.
He has been revealed as a lover of poetry and a slight bit of a romantic, often showing very chivalrous traits such as opening doors for ladies in buildings and such. However, if something seems suspicious, he tends to put his own life at risk. Still largely in his "teens" he is quite mature for his age, regardless.
Main biography:
Grey doesn't know much about his past, suffering from amnesia. Since waking up in what seemed to be a small library, he stayed there to read till he learned all he could from the books. He always found himself reading the poetry and romance novels, though he never really understood the feelings of loneliness, pinning the pain in his chest to some sort of illness he read about. After discovering a video, which was his first moving image, he knew he had to leave and travel the world.
He was shortly attacked by a bandit, in which Grey discovered his powers. he also learned that his speed, his greatest strength, would enable him to fight the man easily. unfortunately, the bandit's spells seemed to trail him dubiously, and while they seemed slow to him, he was finding it difficult to dodge so many missiles. After being nearly killed by one particularly nasty trap spell, he used his "Death Run", and ended the man with as the bandit screamed in terror.
Grey didn't feel remorse in killing the man, though he did bury him in what he thought his opponent deserved, and he set off to learn about the dangerous world he had awoken in.
Arriving in a city plagued by a civil war, the leaders of both sides tried forcing him to their armies; Grey's blade answered them both promptly. It was also their he found a young girl crying over her dead father killed in the war; and for a while, they grew close.
But she was soon to be ill, Grey soon listening to her advice to continue, though with much reluctance; he buried her in tears, but left with his usual stoic expression.
He walked from there simply to wander. Little else can be said for his deeds, save that he tends to rescue witches from burning pyres and slay tax collectors and guards who try to turn him in.
His anarchic attitudes to freedom lead him to remain neutral in all he does, but refuses to break his own code of rules.
Needless to say, this has been exploited several times in the past, such as the time he was forced to rescue a royal to save a witch, and such as when he had to kill a young girl in order to save a small village, something he has held against himself secretly as he strives to redeem himself of this sin.
