"Ah, more explosions. How fun." That was the only response he gave that Cazador would be able to hear, though he of course had much more to say within his mind. And while he ranted to himself about the simplistic brutality and love for explosions as a catch-all solution to problems like these, he did go aboutbeing a very effective lure. His sharp tongue -- figuratively speaking, of course -- was a very effective tool at luring such simple minds to unwittingly do his bidding.
He lazily leaped amongst the buildings and rooftops, little more than a silvery-white streak of color. Every now and then, bullets would zip past him dangerously close, or shred the buildings behind and below him when some marksman of better quality than the others g ot a lucky shot, but he never took any hits himself -- he took great pains to prevent that. Not only did it serve to aggrivate the useless soldiers, it got them to do exactly what he wanted: follow him into a deathtrap.
Thus it was within only a scant few minutes, DAVE dropped down from a rooftop in a spider's crouch near Cazador. "I believe the guest count for the party has just risen dramatically. I do hope you've prepared the gift accordingly."

Cazador made his way closer to DAVE all the while more and more Vulture ground forces began following. Using his jetpack, Cazador leaped from block to block trying to draw as much attention to himself as possible. It was working quite well. The ground troops continued trying to shoot rounds into Cazador's armor, but the metal was just too strong for average metal bullets. They would need something a lot bigger to hope to put a dent in his well crafted piece of machinery. The tanks had enough power in their rounds to knock him off his feet, but their aim was as poor as their training. Eventually he stopped in the middle of the street with DAVE dropping in shortly afterwards.
Everything was set up perfectly. Both of them were surrounded on all sides. Snipers on the buildings, tanks aimed at their location, ground troops ready to unload all their rounds, and a few gunships surrounding the area. The military thought they had them cornered, but they would be dead wrong. It was time to end the battle in one decisive strike. A small missile popped out of his forearm. Despite it's size, it had enough explosive power to wipe their victims out. They would never know what even hit them. Cazador manually pulled his grapple hook out and handed it to DAVE.
"Hold onto this unless you want to be caught point blank in the explosion."
One of the senior officers gave them one last chance to surrender.
"You're surrounded! Surrender or we'll wipe you both off the face of Genesis!"
His face couldn't be seen, but he gave off a small smirk at their demand for surrender. It should of been the other way around, but Cazador wouldn't show them any mercy. He'd seen first hand what military governments were like. These troops would serve as an example as to what he would do to the rest of the regime. Cazador's jetpack began to roar as it blasted off at supersonic speeds into the sky just a split second before the troops unloaded everything on them. With Cazador in high in the sky and DAVE holding on close by on his grapple hook, it would be time to finish them off. He aimed the missile on his forearm down at the center of where they were just at and fired.
In the blink of an eye it reached the ground. A giant bright light filled the entire area. In an instant, the entire force was desimated. Vulture ground troops were either incinerated or blown to pieces, the tanks were torn apart, and the gunships lost control and crashed into the burning ground. Several buildings sustained major damage while others were catching fire. The shockwave of the explosion traveled for miles and shattered many windows along the way. As the light vanished, all that could be seen was a small mushroom cloud covering the whole block or what was left of it. The missile certainly deserved it's name. F.E.I.T.D. Fuck Everything In This Direction. Vulgar, but at the same time very appropriate.
As they descended back down, Cazador checked his motion sensors. There was nothing. All that was left was some damaged buildings and fire. The couple of blocks that were destroyed could be fixed easily, but Vulture's moral would take a major hit and not be as easily repaired as a street. When they landed Cazador picked up movement under some rubble of a tank. He walked over and pulled out one soldier. He was injured, bleeding, and barely conscious.
"P-please don't! Please don't kill me!"
"No... I'm not going to. Today's your lucky day. You're gonna tell all your friends about what happened here today. Oh and give this to your boss."
Cazador gave the soldier a hard punch to the face and knocked him out cold. He looked back to DAVE.
"I think I won our competition."

The stage seemed to be set nicely. Surrounded on all sides, with hell ready to rain down upon them. If they didn't have the plan they did, this might have been a minor problem. He glanced curiously at the small missile Cazador revealed. It appeared no more impressive than a standard grenade, if even that. But judging a book by its cover was often...not the most wise course of action. He would merely take it at the word Cazador had given it. If this ended the situation....so be it. If it didn't? Well, there were other ways to solve that problem.
He took hold of the grapple hook as it was handed over to him and wrapped it thrice around his wrist to ensure his grip wasn't going anywhere in case of...hindrances. As one of the officers gave them a chance to surrender, DAVE could only scoff. "Why would we surrender to a corpse?"
He could tell the not-so-cryptic statement caught them momentarily off-guard, but not enough that they didn't unload everything they had just as Cazador took off from the earth. DAVE gave a mock salute before he was pulled up after the armored man. He looked downward as the missile impacted the earth, and was noticably impressed at the resulting blast.
DAVE disengaged himself from the grapple hook, dropping the last handful of feet to the ground below. He cast about to survey the damage and could only chuckle in amusement. It was interesting technology, that little missile. Might even be worth looking into. He watched with yet more amusement as Cazador knocked the lone survivor out cold with a message for Vulture. "So it would seem." He shrugged. "Very well, you take the victory on this one."
He looked up, and the gunship he had hijacked came into view, descending toward the earth. "We just may have to compete again, sometime. It was almost anjoyable." He turned toward the gunship. "Now, unless you have anything else, I believe I'll take my leave."

"It was good working with you. I'm looking forward to meeting you again."As DAVE made his way to its newly acquired toy, Cazador also began to go his own separate way. There was no rush though. It would be awhile before more Vulture troops showed, but by the time they would, Cazador and DAVE would be long gone. The only thing left to tell the tale of what happened would be the lone unconscious survivor. It would only be a matter of time before word got out about what had transpired. Cazador flew off with his jetpack and traveled a few miles away from the battlefield. He stopped on a nearby building and looked back to see DAVE's gunship leaving in the opposite direction. The fires of the battle lit up the night of the city. Cazador removed his helmet to get a view of it with his own eyes. The breeze carried the heat from the battle over to him. Mixing the cold night air and the heat of the battle felt nice. He smiled at his handy work, but there was no time to get cocky. It was only one battle that had been won. There were still more battles to be fought against the tyrannical government. With the data he got from DAVE, Cazador would be able to cripple many of their resources and weaken them slowly over time. Cazador put his helmet back on and flew off again into the night of Isafaro. The fighting was over for now, but the war against them would still go on. ((CLOSED))
