Adelina made her way back to her mansion in the city, greeted by her butler by the door who took her coat and held it on his right arm as the two departed from the entrance hall and into the dining room on the side where her dinner had already been prepared for her. Adelina made all the necessary preparations to deliver Count Dracula's artwork to his place tomorrow night, a delivery she planned to make herself in order to spend more time with the man, but for now she had more "personal" business to attend to as she dismissed her help for now and expressed she wanted to be alone. Locking the door to the dining room before looking over to the corner that was masked in darkness.
"You can come out now."

It has been ages since Bane had stepped foot on Hallowton's soil. Not since his first attack on Hallowton that was made to go after the Night Angel after his escape from Isafaro's prison has he entered the city. Now look at it? It was quickly becoming one of the more dangerous towns to be in not just through rising crime rates, but for those who would seek ill towards those of the Hallowton banner. So the question was, why was he here?

Adelina assumed the man wouldn't be taking his mask off to eat any time soon, so she helped herself as she sat down on the head chair of the dining room table.
"Please, have a seat. Make yourself feel at home."
She took a small bite from her vegetables and then a sip of water before looking back at Bane.
"I do not believe I ever caught your name. I know Bane can't be your real name."

"I prefer to stand."
Sounded his voice through the mask on his face. Much clearer than one would have expected to hear at first glance of the material that was used. But it was hand crafted by Bane himself and he made sure that every word he spoke was enhanced and clear as can be. It was far more comfortable than the mask he previously wore during his exploits in Genesis after first escaping Isafaro's prison. As he watched Adelina take a seat and help herself to the meal that was prepared for her, he was already mapping out the room and learning of every advantage and disadvantage that stood in it. The clock on the right-hand side of the room's wall at the center. The various paintings on either side of it. The windows on the opposite side and the small vase on a table. Another door opposite and on the far right of the room from the main entrance and the fireplace directly across where Adelina sit and of course the dining room table itself. All of these things he could use if a fight broke out and if all else failed, Adelina would make a lovely human shield against her own guards. His eyes finally returned to the woman when she asked for a name.
"It doesn't matter who we are... what matters is our plan. No one cared who I was until I put on the mask."

"Suit yourself."
Adelina went back to her meal, listening to him finish about how his real name didn't matter as she put her glass of water back down against the table.
"Ah, yes. The plan."
Adelina looked up and noticed Bane scouting out the room before finally looking over to her.
"I hope you aren't thinking about doing anything foolish."
A small smirk appeared on her delicate features before taking another bite of her meal. Chewing, swallowing and washing it down with another sip of water before continuing.
"I desire the crown for myself. But in order to do that I need support. Right now the Queen hasn't done anything to put any serious doubt in her people's mind that she can't get the job done. However the poverty situation creates an opportunity. If they were to believe the Queen has turned their backs on them, and if things were to get out of control to a point the Queen couldn't handle it... Well you're a smart man I'm sure you can figure out the rest on your own."

Bane continued to observe the woman who ate her meal and talked like this was any other business meeting and not that of pulling the throne out from under the rightful heir of Hallowton. An alleged evolved member of the human race who were meant to be above anger, above hate and above power mongering. And yet here she was no different than anyone else. On the outside, a beautiful, kind, delicate little flower and respectable businesswoman. But underneath all of that was a vindictive, power-hungry, sly, manipulative, somewhat seductive individual who'd do anything to wear Lori's crown atop her head. Even if it meant the blood of a nation on her hands. It was always the quiet ones you had to watch out for.
"Hallowtians are said to be the highest evolved humans in all of Genesis. How quickly do you shed it when faced with the same hardships and temptations as the rest of us. It only goes to show that mankind cannot escape what it is fated to be."

Adelina's smirk grew into a polite smile that was unwavering even as Bane stumbled off topic with a rant about her kind's evolution. She was intrigued by his little rant and decided to listen as she had plenty of time before they could dive further into the plan to turn the people against their beloved Queen.
"And what are we fated to be, Mr. Bane?"

"Animals."
Bane spoke at length, turning away from Adelina and walking down to the opposite end of the dining room table where the exit was straight across to his right now and where he could feel the heat of the flames coming off of the fireplace. It was soothing and when you lived in either Isafaro and Hallowton you came to appreciate the warmth whenever you can amidst the cold climate. However he made a point of not standing in a position where he could fall into the fireplace if someone actually managed to knock him over.
"Animals killing each other over a scrap of meat. Or a crown in this case..."
Bane was interrupted from his "little rant" as Adelina would call it as he sensed a disturbance. His mind instantly going to the Night Angel. The woman who he had originally set off from Isafaro's prison to kill. To break. Leading to his previous attack on Hallowton which left a lasting impact on the city. They were still even using the tunnels he dug for the attack as a second escape route if something ever went wrong like during the Vulture's assault. Bane could feel the will of his enemy breaking and a look of disappointment came over him. Disappointment that it was not he himself who was the one to break the Night Angel's will, the fighting spirit that until it died, no warrior was ever truly defeated.
"Ah, yes... I was wondering what would break first... Your spirit, or your body?"

"I see."
Adeline watched Bane walked down the dining room table while she took a napkin next to her silverware and lightly tapped her chin. Putting it back down by the silverware before looking back at Bane as he took another pause in the middle of his speech. Adelina would take this chance to interject as there was still business to discuss after all.
"As fascinating as this all sounds, Mr. Bane, I would like to hear a bit more about your progress in the city."
Then Bane would say something that went completely over the young woman's head but she kept the smile on her face despite her confused expression slipping through.
"I beg your pardon?"

"Never mind that, madam. Just thinking out loud about something unrelated. My apologies."
Bane brought both his hands up to the rims of his brown trench coat and brought the discussion back to its original topic. Interesting how she was intrigued by his words until that last part about them being nothing more than animals. But that was to be expected. It would seem both evolved and unevolved humans saw themselves above such vile creatures when they weren't.
"The war between Hallowton and Isafaro is destined to get worse before it gets better for either side. Queen Lori is bound to use Hellsing while the Vulture rely on their newly acquired Ajerian army to counteract those at Hellsing. We will allow both sides to severely weaken each other and when they are vulnerable... Well you're a smart lady. I'm sure you can figure out the rest on your own."

Adelina chuckled when Bane threw her own words from earlier back at her. Amused as the man explained his plan.
"You'll need an army. Hellsing and these Ajerians I hear so much about aren't anything to scoff at even in a weakened state. Who do you think you can get to go up against such obstacles?"

"What kind of tactician would I be if I revealed everything now? Even a secure location like this has the chance of being tampered with. I assure you the pieces of my puzzle are already in place. They simply need to be put together."
Bane wasn't going to reveal his whole plan. Not yet. The people among the poor and the violent wanted change and the vampires underground wanted destruction. All he needed to do was let them out at just the right time to force the Queen's hand and then, then the fire will rise. And Adelina will have her insurrection.
"Leave it to me."

"A trustworthy one."
Retorted Adelina
"I suppose even the untrustworthy have their advantages, don't they, Mr. Bane? Very well I shall leave it to you. But I wish to be informed of any changes as they occur. Not after."

"As you wish, Lady Adelina."
With that Bane took his leave from the dining room and then the mansion. The rich versus the poor, the traditionalists versus the new and the young. It was bound to be an extraordinary explosion within the walls of Hallowton. And Bane himself would be the one with the detonator in his hands.
