Her astonishment with the grande library was expected; most people who entered here found themselves speechless while in the presence of the availability of such a vast amount of knowledge. The fact that she was even remotely interested in books was enough to grant her a better opinion on his part. Anyone who loved to read and learn could gain a certain amount of respect from the demon butler; who also enjoyed expanding his already extensive knowledge. He watched her move about the room; examining books and leaving an air of excitement behind her. She really was showing distinct similarities to a puppy; despite her claims to not be one. Of course, he could tell she was human; but the childish curiosity gave the impression of the young animal. He noted that she seemed quite interested in the alchemy books, and had a wandering suspicion that alchemy was the reason she had followed Maricul in the first place.Did she wish to control supernatural beasts one day? When she finally came up to him with a stack of books, he tipped his head to the side in bemusement. She had already found some she wanted to spend time reading. The butler extended his glove hands to take the stack; brushing against her own hands in the process. "Not at all, Tori." He shifted to a nearby desk; setting the books down so that he could write out a note in his fancy manuscript handwriting. He took only a moment to copy down the names and authors, before straightening up and folding the paper neatly; and tucking it away safely in an inside pocket along with his pen. He then picked up the books again and balanced them upon his fingertips as he would have with a platter. "Allow me to carry these for you until I escort you and your fellow refugees to the residence halls. You may hold on to them for as long as you wish; but I will be expecting them to return in no less perfect condition. Books are valuable artifacts; and we make it a priority to care properly for them."Sebastian moved back toward the library entrance, shutting off the lights and holding the door open for Tori. "There is still 15 minutes before I must return you to the party; it will be ending shortly. Would you be interested in visiting the armory? It is on this same floor; at the end of the hallway. The more common weapons are stored there for training of the Wild Geese; and the training room itself is next door." All the more deadly weapons were stored in separate locations; of which only himself and Integra knew. Mostly, it was for the safety of the residents in the manor; it just wouldn't do for someone to mistakenly stab another in training with a poison-tipped sword; or drop a grenade in the dining hall.

"Not at all, Tori."
Tori watched and waited as Sebastian went over to the nearby desk to write something down before returning to her, impressed at the way he was able to hold all of those books. Perfect balance and of course considering the weight of them meant he was strong as well. There was something about him however, something that separated him from others. Was he supernatural in origin? Tori wasn't about to asked and with nothing else to go on it would be foolish to do so. He'd no doubt deny it anyhow.

You may hold on to them for as long as you wish; but I will be expecting them to return in no less perfect condition. “You don't have to tell me. I've been reading books since I knew how to read and I always take care of them. I definitely prefer them to the ebooks that were popular back home. Reading a book on a digital device just isn't the same.”
"There is still 15 minutes before I must return you to the party; it will be ending shortly. Would you be interested in visiting the armory? It is on this same floor; at the end of the hallway. “Are guns all you have in the armory?”
Asked Tori as she stepped out through the entrance of the library and back into the hallway, turning her head slightly to look back at Sebastian as she asked. Tori never had an interest in firearms, they were loud and she didn't like the way most felt in her hands. She was much more comfortable with a sword or a crossbow than she was with a handgun or a rifle.

The way she was watching him, it took some effort to hold back a smirk. She hadn't the faintest idea what she was dealing with here; all she knew was that he was a very capable butler who wasn't exactly inconspicuous here. She, like so many others, was likely curious about him; but she at least had the sense to keep questions to herself. Had she asked, his answer would have been the same as he had given anyone else... "I'm simply one hell of a butler." He had a feeling she knew than he wouldn't answer her if she asked him what exactly he was.; or if he was human at all. Tori was certainly much more tolerable than most others who resided here in the manor, despite her creeping about uninvited. Her reply to his expectations about the books brought yet another pleasant smile to his face. Good, he wouldn't have to worry about repairing mistreated books this time. That was one less thing on his plate. Once she'd exited the room; Sebastian shut the door behind her and started to walk down the hallway toward the armory, turning his ear toward her as she asked her next question. "There are some firearms stored there; but they are generally locked up and can only be accessed through myself. Guns, explosives, and some unique weapons created by the Hellsing sponsors are also stored there under maximum security. Many visitors come through this mansion, it just wouldn't do if one of the more dangerous ones happened to be accessible. It is mostly swords, spears, and daggers which are available to the soldiers. There are harmless wooden ones as training weapons, and there are the proper folded steel blades for the more skilled. Armor is also kept within the armory, heavier duty armor is stored behind security as well." He stopped before the large, gold inlaid double doors; and pushed it open once Tori arrived. This room was never locked, as it led directly into the training room. Once they stepped in, he flipped on the lights to reveal the spacious area with it's many training fields. Along the 3 of the 4 walls was a wide variety of hand-held weapons; clean and well-cared for. There were 3 doors placed in the fourth wall; steel and iron alloid doors. He took no chances when it came to securing the dangerous weapons. He gestured at that wall and spoke again, "Firearms and explosives are stored on the right, armor in the center, and the unique handheld and sponsor-made weapons to the left."

“I'd like to see it.”

Tori began looking around the training room, her eyes drawn to the medieval weapons on the wall and looking each one other before coming to the wooden weapons and picking up a wooden sword from the wall and holding it in her hands.
“Fascinating.”

He would allow her to wander for a short while, taking advantage of the visit to the armory to dust everything and to clean up a certain spot which looked and smelled suspiciously like a blood stain from a recent training session. Really... If the Wild Geese were going to shed blood in their training, the least they could do was let him know if there was a mess. He didn't think he was intimidating to the point that they wouldn't want to pass on such news to him. They certainly didn't hesitate to engage in conversation with him when he was busy with his own duties. He made a mental note to speak with Seras later, and request that she order her soldiers to seek him out if there were some stains. Once the spot had been cleared; he rose from his crouch and folded the handkerchief over in his hands to avoid the spread of the stain to his clothing before returning it to a pocket. He took out his watch and glanced at it; before returning it to its own pocket. "Tori, the reception will be ending soon; it is time to return." He said, moving toward the door and pushing it open; waiting for her to leave before he would turn out the lights. Once they returned, he would proceed to escort the refugees to their residence hall; and then it would be time for him to report back to Integra. There was much to tell her; and he had to make sure she was settled in for the night once the refugees were set up. "I hope you found it to be a rather enjoyable short tour."

While Sebastian was cleaning, Tori performed a couple of swings with the wooden sword, vertical and horizontal, and a couple of thrusts. She was an amateur to say the least but her display wasn't anything painful to look at as she was enjoying herself with the wooden sword in her hand.
"Tori, the reception will be ending soon; it is time to return."
“All right.”
Tori performed a couple of more swings before finishing off with a running jump slash and placing the wooden sword back on the wall. Tori passed through the doorway and continued down the hall back to where the rest of the refugees were, and where the others were no doubt worried sick due to her sudden absence.
"I hope you found it to be a rather enjoyable short tour."
“It was fun,” replied Tori as she held out her hands for the books she picked out in the library. “I can take those off your hands now if you want.”

He wasn't too impressed with her swordsmanship; but it was a decent start for a simple refugee. At least her hold on the hilt was fairly close to the traditional way to handle such a weapon. He could expect no more from her. He observed to make sure the sword was returned properly to its supports on the wall, and stood back to allow the woman to pass back into the hallway. Once they had returned to the main lobby where the party was winding down, it wasn't until Tori extended her hands that he remembered he was carrying her books for her. He would have been more than happy to carry them all the way to the residence hall, but he could take a hint. She wanted her books. He hand them to her; his gloved hands brushing against her own hands in the process. He finally turned back to the lobby and made his way into the crowd. The butler headed toward the nearest guard, eyebrows raised. "Have there been any other occurrences I should know about?" The guard shook his head in response, and Sebastian nodded his thanks. He moved back to the main entrance into the lobby; and propped both doors open, allowing a stream of cool evening air to rush into the warm welcome hall. His voice carried over the noise despite being rather soft; and everyone was quick to hush their neighbors and turn all attention to him. The demon smiled in welcome and bowed again. "I hope you all enjoyed this reception. If you would be so kind, please dispose of your trash in the nearest bins as you take your leave tonight. I shall escort you to your residence hall momentarily." Once everyone had followed him outside, a pair of guards shut the door into the lobby; leaving him alone with the the new, and veteran, refugees. "This way, please." He said, and set of down the concrete pavement which seemed to shine with its white cleanliness under the moonlight; it wouldn't take long to reach the impressive, two-winged residence which was much like a fancy hotel. The main difference was that each "room" was much like a house, a wealthy house at that; so that refugee families could adjust and live in luxury until they lost their dependence on Hellsing.

Tori smiled back at Sebastian as he handed her her books and returned to the lobby where her friends were quick to spot her and walk over to her.
“Where have you been?” asked June.
“We thought you were abducted by aliens and brought to the planet Mormon,” said Nex.
“Where did you get those books?”
“From the library. I took a little detour and Sebastian was kind enough to show me around some of the rooms. I got to see the library and the armory. You two would love it,” she said looking over to June and Mary before turning her glance to the others. “And you three would naturally enjoy the armory.”
“You got the butler to give you a tour?” asked Shinta.
Tori nodded.
“Lucky.”
“You're turning green, Shinta,” teased Lily.
“What's he like?” asked Mary.
Tori opened her mouth to answer but then,
"I hope you all enjoyed this reception. If you would be so kind, please dispose of your trash in the nearest bins as you take your leave tonight. I shall escort you to your residence hall momentarily."
“I'll tell you later.”
"This way, please."
Tori and her friends rejoined with the other refugees and followed Sebastian out to the two-winged residence where they would be staying, looking towards it in awe.
“That looks amazing!”
“So beautiful.”
“I can't wait to take a shower...”
“I can't wait to curl up next to a good book.”
“I know what I want to curl up next to,” said Shinta eying Sebastian's backside.
“Do you think they have HBO?”
