Failed Emergency Landing (Open)

Things weren't adding up. Not at all. Communication had been lost with the others a while ago, and what was being displayed right now made no sense. These were hardly coordinates she was familiar with. The Jedi turned to her side slightly, looking at some of the readings coming up still. Finally, she raised a hand and flipped a couple of the switches. Nothing being heard still save for white noise.

Stars and systems flew by in the blink of an eye, pushing Wakanda's ships to its limits. The white and maroon colored Headhunter was the woman's mechanical pride and joy, her first introduction to technologies beyond the wilderness of Shili. One that she had taken to quite fondly. It was one of the only things left that had kept her in touch with the rest of her Order, or what remained of it now that they had taken to hiding. And now that was lost too it seemed.

Wakanda stared at her readings. Finally, she had made her decision, her hand practically being forced to do so anyway. She needed to land, otherwise, there'd be nothing left to run on and not even food. And she wasn't sure how much longer this small ship could handle traveling at this speed, it wasn't meant for long lightspeed travels, even with the engines and hyperdrive systems she had built into it. Dropping out of lightspeed could potentially be dangerous too, especially considering with these readings - who knew what she would come out to?

The togruta sighed and raised her left hand to a few more switches where she hesitated for a moment. Star pilot of the Jedi Order at one time, and here she was hesitating. But something told her that this would not end well. Something was wrong. The Force tended to tell her these things, didn't it? And every time she hoped she was wrong, like she was currently, always turned out she was right. Wakanda flipped the switches and the ship jerked as it slowed drastically and it seemed just in time too.

How on Coruscant did a planet get missed on those readings?! And planet was this even? Coordinates weren't even helping at this point. Far from it, her location even seemed lost to her own devices. Wakanda stared towards the planet which her ship practically drifted towards at the moment. It was then that she realized something was off.

She swore under her breath in her own language. Her screens had frozen. She should have updated the system before they had to flee, at least that was Wakanda's thought. It had simply been too much for the systems to attempt to calculate its location, what this was around it - enough to make it freeze altogether. Poor computer felt like it was attempting to find the answer for what the squareroot of negative one, without simply settling on the term i. Everything shorted, even the feed to the thrusters and engines. And by the time Wakanda realized what had already happened, the ship was already beginning to to touch the planet's atmosphere.

Buttons pressed, switches flipped, Wakanda began to manually take control of the ship, thankful that the systems still allowed for such actions to be taken. However, this process took time, time she honestly did not have at this point; gravity had its influence already. Finally, everything was changed for manual control, and the system beginning to attempt to reboot. Now, just to pull out of this fall the ship had begun to descend into without time to fully power everything up - and seemingly, too little fuel to do it too. Why had she waited so long?

Wakanda pulled as best as she could, attempting to level out her ship. And it seemed as if her ship was hardly even responding the manual commands - why should it? Even land speeders on manual, without that automatic assisted sterring stuff, were a pain to turn. Why would a larger ship be any different?

"I hate being right," Wakanda muttered under her breath, continuing to fight with the ship to break it out of its dive. Finally, a little give. The systems were coming back online, at least to get her engines back to responding properly. She had kept everything else off. "Come on," she continued to mutter, as the engines slowly returned to being recognized by the system. Finally, back in business.

Wakanda looked up from her readings and pulled once again, in time to miss a tall building, turning the ship sidewise to do so. Since when had she gotten so close to the ground?! Since she had spent so much time watching her screens. Another roll, avoiding another building. This was crazy. Finally focusing in front of her again, she pushed to manuever her ship away from the buildings, though her attempts took her just near the edge of Kari, and a bit too close to a rather unimpressive mountain. And this was why Wakanda did not drive land speeders or fly in areas with buildings or moutains. Nope, her flying was left to space. Safest place for her to do it. The end of her wing was clipped. And that was it, most of her steering and braking was lost with half of the wings gone.

Then another unimpressive moutain right outside the reaches of Kari. It was there that the ship finally made impact with the ground. The belly of the ship she managed to rest on the ground however, it continued to slide forward quickly. Impact causing the entire frame the groan and even shaking and cracking most of the glass of the cockpit. The nose of the ship did not rise to begin to climb the mountain however and it began to collapse under the pressure of hitting its side and finally the ships pilot was thrown from her seat, the harness not doing much good to keep her in place. Wakanda moved to raise her arms to protect herself but it was too late. Despite the glass already having cracked, it did not break upon impact and the control panel before her kept her within the ship, cracking ribs upon her hitting it. She fell backwards into her seat, everything finally coming to a stop, the cockpit only a few feet from running into the rest of the nose which had crumbled apart.

It was there in her seat though that Wakanda remained, letting out a long sigh, resting her head backwards. Oh, Renon was going to owe her a steak whenever she got back to the others. She reached a hand to her waist, touching the warm silver hilt of her lightsaber, closing her eyes. The hit on her head finally sinking in.

Lenega had been recovering after his encounter with Quan Chi. He had been able to function for several days, but being in top form was something he had been lacking. Then again when ones soul exploded into a brust of Holy Light it did take a while to gather the fragments of it. He sighed. Time he had been putting to good use. The demon army still had yet to make it to Kari, fortunatly. He'd be ready if and when they did, but he was left to ponder upon the fate of Aircano. He had been forced to destroy his own soul before he did any real damage, he wondered if it'd be enough however.

He sighed finally getting up from the place he had been recovering. Time to see what one missed in two weeks time. As he left however it was not the site he would've been used to seeing. Instead what he saw was a ship coming straight at him. No time to move at of the way his body disappeared in an instat appearing behind it in the same, speed wasn't something he was known for slouching on. He frowned however as it seemed it was going to crash. Maybe they person needed his help? As soon as it's momentum stopped he was already reaching the downed ship. He was lightly irrated by the glass using a controlled blast to break through before jumping in.

The piolt seemed almost in the same shape the glass had been. There was still a light in the soul. Still alive. He meant to keep them that way. He reached out with his own soul running a hand to where her head was wounded healing it searching for any other signs of damage before reaching down and healing her ribs as well giving her a little energy at the same time. ”Hey, stay with me here. Okay?” he called out to let them know they weren't as alone as they perhaps thought. All that was left now was to see if they still passed out or not.

This feeling was something that she had sadly grown used to over time. The feeling of death closing in and lingering. Her attempts to keep her eyes open had failed, and by the time Lenega had reached the ship she had already fallen unconscious, her breathing faint and pulse weak. Despite her skill with the Force, a violent hit to the head was still just the same as someone without the Force.

As Lenega reached to heal, he would feel a fiery warmth from the togruta, not a warmth associated with body heat. And as he worked to heal, he would potentially feel something else working to mend the injuries she had at the same time with him. The warmth stronger in the areas of her injuries. A soft groan came from Wakanda as she took a deep breath and squinted her eyes closed.

"I am fine, no worry," she said softly, raising a hand and waving it slightly as if to dismiss his help, the golden bangles she wore jingled together slightly. Words she was used to saying way too often now. Words she said many times when death was cheated. With a sigh, Wakanda opened her blue eyes and slowly looked around.

"Aye...Renon es going to be so upset," she muttered under her breath, rubbing her head. It took her a moment but she looked towards Lenega.

"Oh! Thank you. Sorry. I no here, mind somewhere else. Far far away." The togruta shook her head, dropping her hands down onto one of her control panels, the top of the cockpit sliding back and opening, revealing that there was no need to break any further glass and Wakanda stood up. Without hesitation, seemingly perfectly fine, the older togruta hopped out of the cockpit and landed softly on the ground, her bare feet touching the grass, and the golden anklets jingled in the same manner in which her bangles did. She proceeded to dust herself off, using the Force to pull her brown robe from the cockpit of the ship, refusing to turn and look at it; it was like losing a child to her with how much time she had spent on that ship.

As the robe neared her, Wakanda slowly reached out with her left hand, slipping into a sleeve before doing the same with her right hand which still held her lightsaber hilt. "Long day es going to be long."

Lenega frowned as she said she didn't need the help. Her body was still showing signs otherwise to that. Both his face and green eyes showed worry for her however. He continued anyway until she got up. Es? Is, most likely he assumed. Why would he be upset? Wouldn't he understand she had almost died just now? I no here? ”You mean you're distracted.” he summed it up. He blinked as the top of the ship came off. Interesting. Lenega jumped down soon after she did. After all he had to make sure his new friend wasn't just faking being okay.

Lenega watched the robe be pulled to her blinking. A wind user? ”The days barely started. It could be good still.” he encouraged her giving her a smile. ”The names Lenega.” he said extending his hand. Oh how he had missed actually going out and doing things. It felt good to strech again. ”So aside from the crash what brings you here?” he asked honestly a bit curious to learn a bit more about her maybe even give her a point in the right direction and defenitly tell her what he could. It wouldn't be as up to date as it could have been, but it was better then not knowing anything at all.

"Huh? Oh. Yes. The distracted. Yes, that word," the togruta nodded in agreement.

"There es no doubt the day can be good yet. No say et will no be good. Just...Long. Es difference." Wakanda explained as she clasped her saber hilt onto the sash around her waist. She turned to look at her ship and frowned again. They wouldn't even have enough funding to even get another headhunter used. She let her eyes wander upwards, as if in thought. She could probably fix it herself, but the time that would take...Wakanda shook her head, shaking the thought from it at the time.

Her blue eyes wandered back towards the offered hand. It took only a second for what he was gesturing for to be recognized by her. She reached out and accepted his hand gently; "I am Wakanda, Master healer of the Jedi Order. Es nice to meet you again, Lenega. I thank you again for your help." Her voice was sincere, and kind. The warmth that came from her aura, which gently moved about as a warm summer breeze, echoed and was carried in her words.

"And that, es what brings me to this place. Navigashin systems went down, but I come to speak with Senator of this planet." Poor thing still failed to realize that she was no longer in her Republic or in the same galaxy for that matter - let alone dimension though she probably wouldn't understand the concept just yet.

"Things are the complicated, time es running out I feel. But perhaps the Republic can still be saved." Nope. She didn't have a clue.

Lenega blinked. He supposed there was a difference, but not much of one if you asked him. If it was long, it probably meant you weren't enjoying it enough. He curiously looked at the lightsaber wondering what exactly it was. Again? Had they meant before? Or was it just another one of those broken speeches she was doing. He assumed the second again. His memory didn't remember meeting her and he made an effort to remember everyone he met.

Kira blinked at her statement. Or rather three of them. ”If you don't mind me asking, whats a 'Jedi Order'?” he asked as if he never heard of it. In fact he actually hadn't. ”I wasn't aware this planet had a senator. I thought each faction was caught up in their own government....” he said trailing off. He was starting to get the feeling she wasn't from around here. ”The Republic? The only republic around here is currently overun by demons.....You aren't from around here are you?” he asked. He hadn't been able to see where the ship had come from. Obviously not Kari or Isafaro tech then. He looked back at the ship. That did however beg the question of what it was.

Wakanda stared at Lenega as he asked his questions. She raised a hand and rubbed the back of her neck (in a manner far too similar to someone else in a different area). She stared at him with a blank and obviously puzzled look.

"Uh. Oh. So...You no know the Jedi? No have the senator for Galactic Republic?" She honestly seemed as if she so confused. Demons? Oh was she confused. The healer shook her head. "No. No from here. I was born on the Shili and recently live on the Coruscant before I begin to travel.

Jedi Order, es group of people who uh...Use the Force...I can no esplain so easily. Need much time to do that. Jedi es philosophy. Es hard to esplain.

And et seem I crash for nothing. That I make terrible mistake ef you no know what anything I say es."

Galactic Republic? Lenega had a blank stare at that simply because he had no idea what that was. Shili? Coruscant? Now he just looked even more confused. Right the different dimensions. Perhaps now would be a good time to mention it. After all it had to come up at one point or another. ”It's fine. I understand. Probably not what you want to talk about after almost dying.” he said offering her a small smile. Crashed for nothing.

Lenega rubbed a hand through his hair in a manner people did when they had so say something they didn't like. ”I hate to be the one to break this to you, but you aren't even in your own realm anymore. At least I assume. I haven't heard talk of a 'Jedi Order' or of a Galactic Senate in my time here.” he said almost apologetically. His gaze turned to the tower in the distance. ”Thats most likely what brought you here.” he said turning back around. He knew that would more then likely raise more questions then answers, he didn't know how many he could answer, but he'd try.

Wakanda turned her eyes over towards the tower as he indicated towards it. Indeed more questions came to mind, but for now, they were not questions she wanted to ask. She was silent as she studied the structure for a few moments. Finally, she looked upwards, her eyes leaving the tower itself to look straight up towards the sky. She took in a deep breath, her aura pulling back towards her gently as she did so. The togruta held it for a couple of seconds before exhaling slowly at which time her aura expanded once again, a warm and gentle breeze passing along with it.

Maybe...Maybe they didn't need her there then? Or maybe she was needed here more than with Renon and the others. He had a good head on his shoulders, after all. He could take care of things without her there constantly, couldn't he?

"Well then, I guess my place es here," Wakanda said softly before nodding her head. She lowered her gaze from the sky and back towards the boy and offered a smile, not a sheepish smirk or a forced smile, but a genuine soft smile towards him. "The Force works en ets ways. Ef this is where it ring me, then I trust et enough to believe this es where et wants me."

She sighed softly though finally lifted her arms forward and out, stretching them. If it really wanted her here instead of home, then this place probably needed a lot of help - more so than her own home. She needed to at least be ready for this apparent new wave of work.

Lenega blinked. He honestly hadn't been expecting her to take it so well. Still it was nice that she did, however he did have one question. He could see she had some of her own, which surprised him that he wasn't asking. ”Whats the Force?” he asked just a little curious. Never hurt to learn new things. He wondered what she was actually thinking about. Of course wondering and asking were two entirely different things. Asking would just be rude. He turned back to face the tower. ”I'm not sure how much help I can be, but I'll try to answer any of your questions.” he added. Darius would be her best bet to using it to get back home, but Darius wasn't exactly the helping type and he hadn't seen him since arriving here.

The question caught her off guard, and it showed in her eyes for a moment. However, she sighed softly and smiled again. "The Force es life etself. The energy of the person, people, of the planet, the galaxy - The universe. That es what the Force es. Some can feel et more than others, some can no feel et at all."

Wakanda took a couple of more steps away, taking a moment to ask a question. "Tell me what you do know, there es no need to be shy concerning what you do or do not know."

Life itself? He seemed a bit doubtful at that. Or at least it was her realm. Even then there had to be some exceptions right? Still it seemed an interesting concept to say the least about it. He wondered if there were any others from her realm her. Perhaps she'd even be able to find them. Well that was perhaps the one good thing about the demon army invasion. It was forcing all the non natives to one place. It made it easier to find people you might know. But it more honestly seemed like an ability perhaps like his own abilites with light.

”That may take longer then guided questions.” he said honestly. He sighed. He supposed a good place to start would be with what he had already mentioned. ”What you see behind you is the Downward Spiral. Like I said it's probably what brought you here. Using it however is far beyond me. To do that I'd recommend finding Darius. Maricul is also there, but I'm not sure how cooperative either of them would be. As for the demon army, all I know is that they emerged from Moon Valley. The Republic I mentioned and have been sweeping across the continent. Last I heard they were attacking Aircano. I was removed from that fight before it really concluded. I'm unaware of it's fate.” he said wondering what had really happened to it.

As was so typical of her, Wakanda was silent as she listened to him explain briefly the things going on. It hardly an answer to anything, for most people at least; but, it was what he knew apparently. And it was enough for her. Demon armies (she honestly had not heard the talk concerning demons since she was a little girl on Shili, though part of her was still convinced she had met them) running through things and apparently taking over and/or destroying it all. Tower controlling things about time and dimensions and space itself and people attempting to figure out how to work it. Sounded like a terrible idea to be honest. Sounded like a lot of power in one place, probably left best uncontrolled by a single person or single group of persons.

Wakanda nodded. There was only one question she honestly had; "Do you map of this place? All of et?" If a place was just attacked then she knew where she needed to go she supposed. Or maybe..."Where do you think they will attack next? I am a fighter and a healer, my job and place es on the front lines, to defend the ennocent and to heal the wounded. Tell me where to go and I shall lend my help, et es my duty."

Lenega thought about it. He frowned slghtly. His image flickered for less then a second. The only sign he had even moved was he now held a piece of paper in his hand. He hadn't used it in a while, but he did have that map Swarm had given him. He carefully unfolded it. He only had one after all. It had been given to him when he had arrived, only far that he pass it along. He had been here close to a year after all. ”We're here. Kari.” he said pointing to the place on the map he supposed he should mention the demon army.

”The demon army started out here. Moon Valley.” he said pointing to Moon Vaelly on the map bringing his finger trailing up the map to rest on Jherrazad. ”The next target was here. Jherrazad. From what I've peiced together the defense suffered a devesitating defeat there, with them routed they were forced to retreat here. Kari. he said his finger going back to Aircano. Not enough time to regroup at Aircano unfortunatly. ”Leaving Aricano largely undefended. I had managed to take out a few as well as stalemate one of their generals. However doing so left me in a.....weakened state. I had to withdraw. That was two weeks ago. I am unsure of it's fate. If it did fall Kari is most likely their next stop. And if it held it would make sense that the Resistance would try to regroup there. The holy temple there gives them an advantage.” he said. And thats where they were in this situation.

He frowned. Pointing to Isafaro. ”Eventually the situation there needs to be dealt with, but I would recommend avoiding it for now.” he finished. There was just so much going on now days it was hard to determine where to get involved and when to get involved. He sighed. He had heard the Resistance had been making a stand there, but then there was also a person called the Spokesman of Insanity. Another time. One problem at a time.

Wakanda nodded occasionally as she listened, though she remained silent the entire time. Leave one war unfinished to join a new one in times growing dark. However, her travels here could not simply be coincidence. No, she must have been needed here. Especially for her to arrive in this Kari when this would probably be the place for people to gather and not somewhere else. At the end of his explanation, Wakanda gave another firm nod.

"Alright." In her mind she had already lost one war against demons of sorts back home, she wouldn't let this place suffer the same fate as the Republic. Who do I speak with to offer my help. This es no the random chance to be here, the Force has wished me to be here at this time for a reason. So, I will do what I can to help."
