[Miracle]

Miracle raised an eyebrow at Yuna when she started to climb up on the balcony's railing.

"What are you doing?"

Miracle gasped and covered her hand over her mouth when Yuna fell. A bright light temporarily blinded her field of vision but when the light faded away she saw the flying creature now in front of her with Yuna safe and sound on it's back.

“This is Valefor the first summon I’ve received when I became a Summoner.”

"He's beautiful, Yuna."

Miracle smiled at Valefor and gently stroke his head before seeing Yuna extend her hand to her.

“Would you like a ride?”

"You really mean it?"

Miracle smiled and then took Yuna's hand into her own using it to climb up over the railing and getting on the creature's back. Now holding on behind Yuna as she laughed, then snorted, Miracle covered her mouth to drown out the snort before laughing again. She was happy. The last couple of weeks has been so tasking that Miracle was glad to be able to have some fun now.

Valefor returned the affection by Miracle before Yuna helped the girl up on the Aeon’s back. Yuna smiled at the sight of the girl having fun as soon they were off, Valefor wings outstretching through the air and flapping sending the two high above the city of Hallowton until they could see even the Crystal Expanse over in the distance. Miracle was right the citizens of Hallowton didn’t seem to mind at all. The ones who spotted them simply looked up in awe at the creature as they continued to soar through the air above their humbled city.

“Everything is so beautiful!”

Miracle has never been this high up before in her life, all the people down below looked like ants as now her eyes focused on the clear blue sky while feeling the wind in her hair. A big happy smile was planted on her face and she never did loosen her grip behind Yuna as they flew even higher through the air. The High Priestess also looked out to the Crystal Expanse in the distance and stared in awe at it's beauty alongside Yuna. It was hard to believe that ruins could be so beautiful where they stood when usually they were a horrible sight to behold. Beauty within destruction. How poetic.

"Then you can see why I wish to preserve this land. It's beauty. There are people who would wish to destroy it and that is something I simply cannot allow. Yahweh's work and his people must be protected."

“Yahweh?”

That sounded so much like Yevon. Too much in fact. It only serve to drift Yuna’s mind away from the beauty surrounding her and back on unhappy memories she rather not think about. Yuna had to remind herself that she fought for the innocent who could not defend themselves and not in the name of any deity, be them the real deal or just another monster like Yevon was. Not wanting to upset the girl of course Yuna would keep all of these thoughts to herself.

“I understand.”

It was just like her with Spira. On top of the people that needed saving Yuna saw all the beauty within Spira and hated that a monster like Sin kept destroying it every ten years. The Eternal Calm was the best thing to happen to Spira and its people for a very long time and she couldn't have done it without friends. That made Yuna wonder….

“Do you have anyone else to help you?”

"Yahweh is the name of my Lord. I owe everything to him."

Miracle really did. Without her relationship with Yahweh Miracle never would have had the courage to become a Priestess of Yahweh at age eight. She would have never been able to perform the miracles she has done or defend Aircano against the countless evils that had tried to take it and she certainly would have never became a High Priestess of her Lord at the unheard age of twelve. Yes she owed it all through her faith in Yahweh. What else? Miracle smiled when Yuna said she understood and then heard her question.

"I have my friend Solomon, the people back in Aircano and of course a new ally who calls himself Sparda."

They were able to handle their own against the forces of darkness, through the power of Yahweh, long before someone as powerful as Sparda even came along. Miracle was confident they would be able to stand up against anything that threatened this world and the beauty that lied within it.

"And now you."

With each second that flew by Miracle was reminding Yuna more and more of herself. It was unreal. Almost like fate has brought them together just for the High Summoner to realize all the similarities they shared but Yuna thought that absurd. Why would fate plunge her into another world just to meet someone she had so much in common with? It didn’t make any sense. Then again, fate never did. The High Summoner directed Valefor downward, their exploration of the skies coming to a close as the summoned creature’s feet touched the ground in the heart of the city. After the full stop Yuna climbed down Valefor and then brought up her hand to Miracle to help her down.

“I would like to meet these friends of yours.”

Yuna’s curiosity was peeked now. How far did the similarities between them go? Did it leak over to her friends? Would there be people in Miracle’s inner circle that reminded Yuna of her own friends and family back home in Spira? If that was the case then the High Summoner would have to concede that these similarities were not mere coincidence and her being here was no accident.
