This place was so much more peaceful than that tower. The sun shined down brightly on the city as Lady Yuna walked down the city’s streets sticking out like a sore thumb. But it didn’t look like anybody in the city really cared about her appearance. So far she hasn’t met a single unkind soul in this entire city and that was rather refreshing. If only this kind of serenity could have existed back on Spira but there were still those who wished to cause trouble. Even in the name of Yevon, who were already proven to be a false god in their lives.
Hallowton was what they called their humbled city. She was trying to figure out how it was she got to this world in the first place. With what happened back at the tower Yuna didn’t have much time to really ask many questions. She was hoping that with the many kind people here that someone would be able to fill in the blanks but so far nobody seem able to explain it to her. Yuna was beginning to really miss her friends but she would press on. That was all she could do for now. The High Summoner continued down the road looking for someone who may have the answers she was looking for.

And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
Yuna would see a crowd of children up ahead forming around a young female dressed in white. She gave each one that came a hug followed up by a kiss on the forehead, blessing them with Yahweh's power before sending them off on their way. Some of the kids gave her gifts which she gladly accepted with a smile. Being around them gave her such joy, and the happiness radiating off of them only increased her own. They were so full of life and wonder, with no worries to hold them down. If only it could be like this for everyone.
If only.

Yuna could hear children laughter over in the distance. Her eyes caught the crowd of kids that surrounded a female who couldn’t be much older than them. She appeared as merely a child herself. But Yuna knew better than anyone that age was only a number for when she set off on her pilgrimage she was still only a child. Yuna approached the purple haired female, looking her over and noticing the type of attire the girl wore. She looked like a holy priestess of some deity.
Yuna frowned remembering Yevon and the teachings she believed in all her life, finding out they were lies impacted her greatly. Maybe things in this world were different. Maybe their equivalent of Yevon was just and fair, as she had always believed Yevon to be before the truth finally came out. Yuna cast those thoughts away as she now stood before the girl, smiling kindly in her direction before getting her attention.
“Excuse me. I was wondering if there is anyone in town I can talk to about the tower up north?”

Another lost soul. Miracle frowned as she looked the woman over. She certainly did choose the right town to answer questions in. The people here were not hostile in the least nor were they prejudice enough to treat the foreigners like dirt. Even in Aircano there were people made uneasy at the presence of beings from different worlds and prejudice threatened to swallow the city whole. In Isafaro they would've captured the woman and perform experiments to learn more about her. The Red Devil Ranko would have simply devoured her soul to increase her own army. Realizing she was frowning Miracle forced that frown upside down into a smile before answering the stranger's question.
"I have information regarding the tower. Come with me."
Miracle turned and began to walk towards the inn of Hallowton. Out in the open was the last place Miracle wanted to discuss such an important matter. While the natives here offered no threat to anyone within the city there were still foreigners of wicked intent who may wish to use the tower for evil and you never knew when spies of Isafaro or Jherrazad was close by. Her room at the inn would be the safest place to discuss these matters.
"Oh forgive me I almost forgot to introduce myself. I'm Miracle High Priestess of Aircano."

Finally after all this time searching Yuna was closer than ever before to attaining the answers. She followed the High Priestess to the inn taking in some more of the sights as they walked. Even though time was of the essence and getting home was her top priory she was still tempted to explore what this new world has to offer. The very prospect that there were more words besides Spira interested the High Summoner but she knew it was best to get home as soon as possible. Her role was too important to be missing from Spira for very long. Maybe she would get to explore later. It was then that the High Priestess introduced herself.
“It is very nice to meet you. I am Yuna High Summoner of Spira. I am a very long way from home aren’t I?”

Spira. The name alone sounded like a place of magic and wonder. As they approached the entrance of the inn Miracle pondered on how to answer the woman's question. It was neigh impossible to give an accurate answer as nobody knew how far one realm were to another. With the door now held opened for the High Summoner as Miracle stepped inside she looked back to Yuna.
"It's complicated."
The rooms were already paid for so all Miracle had to do was lead Yuna up a pair of steps and to the second floor of the inn, down the long wooden hallway and turn to the last room on the left reserved for the girls. And since she was the only girl in her party that assured the two would have their privacy as they discussed the tower. Miracle opened the door and led her into a medium size room with four beds and a balcony on the opposite side of the entrance. Just like everything else, the floors were made of wood and was a dark brown color. The walls were more solid and painted white along with the ceiling.
"Make yourself feel comfortable," said Miracle as she headed over to one of the beds and sat down to rest her feet. "Was there anything in particular you wanted to ask about the Downward Spiral?"

“It’s complicated” was the last thing Yuna wanted to hear in reply to her question. It was usually something said when you didn’t want to give the answer. All it served was to show the High Summoner just how bad her situation was while she followed the child up to her room in the inn. It was a good thing this place was already paid for because Yuna would have no way to pay if the child didn’t have any money of her own. She doubt that the gills from her world would be sufficient in this one. Yuna took a moment to examine the room as Miracle made herself more comfortable. The room didn’t look all that different from the inns at her own world. Maybe they had more in common than they thought. Yuna then raised a curious brow over to the child at her question.
“Downward Spiral?”
Miracle must have meant the tower. Well that was a strange thing to call something. Yuna didn’t have much time to explore the tower given the monstrous creature that was making a march towards it but she didn’t see anything that resembled a spiral. Yuna reminded herself that this was a different world and several words and phrases may very well have different definitions so she decided to focus on the more pressing matters. As always.
“I want to know if there is any way I can use it to return home.”

"It's what we call the tower here. It represents a depressive state what with the worlds merging together and people in your situation."
Miracle had nothing to do with the name. Actually she didn't know who decided to name the tower in the first place. Probably somebody from Isafaro as they had a habit of slapping a codename on everything even when there wasn't a need for one.
"Yes there is. The towers act as a gateway between worlds. We haven't exactly figured out how to use it properly yet but given time we should be able to use it to get you, and anyone else that's lost in this world, home."
There was just a matter of talking with the other nations that wanted the tower for their own personal gain. Miracle was hopeful that she could come to some form of "treaty" regarding the tower that wouldn't result in a war.

Guilt crept up in the body of the High Summoner. She was so caught up in trying to find a way home for herself she didn’t even stop to think that she wasn’t the only one with this problem. How selfish of her, some of those people could even be from Spira as well lost and helpless to what was going on around them and not being as equipped to endure it as she was. Yuna decided then and there that she couldn’t go home until she has done something to help the growing situation and search for anyone else who may be from Spira who needed help getting home.
“How many people are lost?”
As Miracle was unveiling more about the tower Yuna remembered all the many symbols and patterns upon the tower’s walls and floors. Symbols Yuna couldn’t even begin to think about translating herself so no wonder they haven’t figured out a way to properly use it yet. Hopefully with time they would be able to translate those symbols or at the very least find an easy to understand means of using the tower to transport others back home. But that only led to another question. A question Yuna hoped Miracle could answer now and didn’t require further translation of the tower symbols.
“Where do the towers come from? I’ve lived in Spira all my life and we’ve never seen anything like that in our world before until now. What has caused them to appear?”

“How many people are lost?”
"Hard to say really. Our worlds have been separated for the longest time and now all of that has been undone. There could be thousands of people who are lost throughout dimensions and we have no way to track them all down."
Miracle didn't like retelling this story as it reminded her how sad the situation was but it needed to be said. She still had faith that Yahweh's power would shine through and they would be able to save as many people as they could, if not everyone. With the faith of a mustard seed you could lift mountains. That's what she's been taught all these years and she believed in it strongly. Whatever caused these dimensions to merge would be found out. Miracle would make sure of it.
“Where do the towers come from? I’ve lived in Spira all my life and we’ve never seen anything like that in our world before until now. What has caused them to appear?”
"I'm afraid we're not sure where the towers come from. We're in the process of translating the markings in the tower but with so many nations arguing over possession of it we haven't had a whole lot of time to explore the place."
That was why finding peace with the nations of Isafaro, Jherrazad and Moon Valley was so important.

Yuna frowned. That wasn’t the answer she wanted to hear but it became the kind of answer Yuna knew to expect especially in these hopeless kind of situations. What disappointed her further to find out was the fact people were fighting over possession of the tower like it was property to be bought or sold when there were more pressing matters to be worried about. Like this entire crisis in the first place. It seems “lust of power” was never any different no matter what world you found yourself in. As far as Yuna was concerned there was now only one thing left to do.
“I would like to offer my services to you. I cannot in good conscious return to Spira until we have resolved this crisis. I will do everything in my power to assist.”

Miracle smiled at the brunette's offer. They were in a tight spot right now and needed all the help they could get so she appreciated the kind woman's offer. The High Priestess sat up from the bed and walked over to Yuna laying a hand gently on the High Summoner's shoulder before smiling towards her.
"Thank you."
Miracle removed the hand from Yuna's shoulder and turned around in a walk for the balcony.
"You said you were a summoner. What kind of creatures can you summon?"
Miracle now stood on the balcony, hands up against the railing as she leaned against it. Her purple eyes taking in the beauty of the city's streets as she waited for the brunette's answer to her question. If Miracle had to live a second life and couldn't return to Aircano she would choose to stay in Hallowton. It really was her home away from home.

Yuna smiled back to the child at the thanks and then followed her out to the balcony. If they were speaking on their thoughts about the town Yuna would have agreed with Miracle on the beauty of it. Despite everything that was going on outside the city’s walls this little place managed to find bliss. It was definitely something to be admired. Yuna pondered on Miracle’s next question trying to find a way to explain it to an outsider but the words just weren’t coming.
“It’s rather hard to explain to someone who isn’t from Spira. I don’t even know enough about your world to really have anything to compare it to. Or if I have anything to compare it to.”

The folly of worlds coming together. It made even the simplest of things you know from your world seem complicated. Maybe what couldn't be explained well in words would be better spent through visuals. Miracle turned around, her back now leaning up against the balcony's railing as she looked over to Yuna with a smile still on her face.
"How about you show me then? The people here won't mind."

“You’re sure?”
Yuna looked around the surrounding area until her eyes looked down to the ground below the balcony. They weren’t very high up so somebody falling from this height wouldn’t kill them but it would still hurt a lot, unless something soft broke their fall. Like say a certain summon. Hopefully this would not give the High Priestess a heart attack as she climbed up on the top of the railing and turn around with her back facing the air, staff now firmly in her right hand as she looked back towards Miracle.
“Trust me.”
Yuna fell back, now falling through the air as she was about to hit the ground below until a bright flash of light surrounded her body. Underneath her now was the Aeon known as Valefor, softening her fall as he did for her one year ago. Now on the back of Valefor Yuna flew back up to the balcony, smiling at the High Priestess while Valefor was giving Miracle a look over.
“This is Valefor the first summon I’ve received when I became a Summoner. Would you like a ride?”
Yuna asked this offering Miracle her hand should she say yes. There were more than enough room for the both of them on Valefor’s back.
