Her answer was short and sweet, "I suppose that would make you a demi-god. Descendants are still branches of their ancestors. A one-hundredth generation descendant of a Grecian still has parts of Greek blood within their veins. But that is only a race. You are part of an other species, much stronger genes wouldn't you say?" At the very least he would be a breed of demi-god she supposed. He was definitely not human but she highly doubted that he was demon, his smell was too off.
She toyed with the possibility that perhaps only the beastial genes had gotten through, but she wasn't entirely sure how the genes in his case would work. "Either way, I have ways of finding out what you are. Long story but let's just say that I have knowledge that could prove useful if you ever wished to fingure out exactly what you are. Though I have a feeling that the part of you that is demi-god could not be in your genes per-say but simply a part of who you are. Though I have not dealt with such beings before so I wouldn't know completely. But I do have a way we can find out if you wish. It is up to you entirely, however."

"A demi-god.. huh?" Alex smiled wryly. This notion didn't intrigue him at all. He felt he would rather be himself than something he isn't. "I just can't wrap my head around why it's only me that has been chosen. Why not everyone in my blood? I think that would have made life a little better..." There was a rather ambiguous tone in his voice.
He allowed Saasha to continue. She suggested they attempt to find out what it is he is, exactly. He closed his eyes and waved his hand to her in discord. ""I mean no disrespect, but I think I'll pass. I'd rather just stay who I am, and leave it at that." Alex stood up from the tan sofa and stretched his back. He silently folded his arms and opened his eyes to meet his hosts' with a gentle look. "I have decided to repay the kindness you two have shown me. After all, I am a dog. I will be loyal to the residents of this home until my dying breath."

Saasha nodded to show her respect for his decision. She couldn't blame him at all however: she understood his reasons. For the past few months, she herself had been searching for the balance in her current and previous selves. The merge had been a major source of turmoil for her, trying to figure out how much of new personality was from her previous mind and which was from the demon. "I understand completely. And if I may be frank, I don't blame you at all."
She waited for him to finish and lean back into the sofa before she spoke again, chuckling good-naturedly at the 'dog' comment.' She shook her head with a cordial smile. "Wolves far outweigh the common dog." Okay that was the demon canine talking. "But we shall do the same for you if you. I am certain that you will make a fine addition to our little posse. As for the hospitality, you are very welcome. But, what would this world be if we did not help one another?" Her smile never faded from her slim features.
Joshua leaned forward a bit and held his fist in front of her chest. When he opened it, there sat the butterfly still in perfect condition. She giggled and took it from him gingerly to examine it. "My goodness we certainly have a lot of varieties don't we? How did you find one this beautiful though? I didn't know they came in this color. But then again, this world has many surprises, doesn't it?"
She gave him a quick peck on the cheek and stood. She crossed to a large chest of drawers as the feline spoke up for the first time in the exchange, a rather pleased expression donning his posture, "There are many things this world is hiding. And with the realms combining in countless combinations, the surprises are certainly limitless." He leaned his forearms over his legs to address Alex directly now, "So does this mean that you have decided to stay?"

A chuckle escaped Alex's lips as Saasha downed the livelihood of dogs. He thought the comment was rather amusing, since she and Alex both were wolf creatures. Silent as ever, he nods with the woman's question of helping one another. "I will gladly accept the invitation into the group... and help is something my life has lacked, so I apologize if I try too hard to return the favor."
A differentiating smile crossed Alex's face as Joshua presented the colorful butterfly to Saasha. 'I suppose I was right...'[/color] His intuition seems to have been right for once in this world. His attention returned to Joshua as he asked Alex his question, to which he curtly replied. "If the offer is still open, yes... As I said, I do intend to repay the kindness shown to me."[/b]
He thought for a short time while folding his arms. He cradled his chin with the curled index finger and thumb of his right hand. "You said that pretty much the chores inside the manor are taken care of... Then how about I keep watch outside of the barriers? I'm sure they are there for a reason, and I know a howl from a great distance would suffice a better warning than something so close... Am I mistaken?"

The wolf-en woman pulled out one of the drawers and gingerly laid the butterfly inside. another bright splash of color to the reds, blues, and greens of the others that lay in the glass cases that lined the bottom of the drawer. A kaleidoscope of colors and hues danced ans shimmered as the small lights flickered on when the drawer was opened. Saasha shut it and returned to the sofa, "You would be correct. And if that is what you wish to do then so be it, but there is little need for that either. I have eyes in the forests."
She dropped down on the cushy couch next to Joshua again with a slight groan, "But at nights especially I would be very careful if you go out. That is their feeding time. And mine. If you would like to patrol if you happen to be out, you are more than welcome to. Just be careful if you see a dark blue shadow with orange eyes. Aka don't attack it." She chuckled and drained the last of her lemonade. To refill it, she took half a glass of lemonade and half a glass of tea. She hoped he would catch her drift. "The barriers were designed by my former master. Not a whole lot can get through them. But as I said, if you wish to assist alerting me to stray beast, you are more than welcome to. Just be cautious will you?"

It took some time, but Saasha's words eventually hit Alex. A wry smile crossed his lips as he closed his eyes. He could figure out his naive idea of helping them would do nothing but entertain his own mind. He had to do something at least. "Very well... I may not be much help as it is, but I figure this forest would have ample amounts of creatures to fight to train, no?"
His pale fingers grasped the handle of the pitcher of tea to top off his glass. He quickly downed his drink and gently placed it on the table. "Don't worry, I intend to not attack anything unless it attacks me... Also, I wouldn't attack anything that harbored your scent, m'lady."[/b] Alex flashed his smile to his host. Her next words of warning sat with Alex for some time before he responded.
"Yes. I haven't dropped my guard once.. Well, not completely. I felt a sense of comfort not from just you, but also him as well." His gentle words were followed by a slight nod to Joshua's direction. He walked over to the closest exit to the outdoors and paused."... I wish to quell your worries of me in the forest, even at night... So I believe a demonstration of what I am should suffice, if you wish."

She was a bit taken back. "M'Lady? Well now he is an interesting one." She stood and Joshua followed her example. Both crossed to Alex, Saasha with an unconstrained and intrigued smile and Joshua with only detached interest. Maybe now she would get to see just what she had let into her home, "If it would please you. Honestly I am a little curious as to what you can do on the whole. Being a hunter, I am rather cautious at times. This being one of those times, as you can see. So... yes I suppose it would ease my mind to see what you are capable of."
She was looking forward to this, more material for research and more topics to add to her Father's notes. Perfect. Saasha motioned for him to exit and would follow behind if he did.

Nodding once Saasha finished speaking, Alex opened the door and walked outside. The warmth from the sun blanketed his figure. He proceeded to walk into the courtyard and eyed around for a largely open space. He strode to the center of the courtyard and stopped to turn to his hosts. "You both may want to stand back a bit. I'm sure you both can withstand the surge, however.. my size, is another story."[/b] He inhaled deeply through his nose and exhaled slowly. He took off his jacket to again reveal his sleeveless arms covered in scars for the second time.
He folded the jacket and tossed it aside. "Loose clothing tends to fly off some times... I haven't perfected how to keep my clothes with me."[/b] A chuckle and a slight smile followed his words. He steadied his breathing. His rate rate began to slow down. He clenched and relaxed his hands once. After a few seconds his eyes opened to reveal their altered state. Luminescent blue and a slit pupil had taken their place.
Every hair on his body stood on end. Visible energy jumps danced across his body. The silver hair that donned his scalp began to shrink and dyed blue. Alex lurched forward, crossing his arms over his chest. Slight grunts escaped his lips. Fur began to sprout from his body, his bones morphed their shape and grow. He could feel his back growing closer to the sun as his body rose. His mouth opened from the pressure of his growing fangs. His nose and jaw stretched into a snout. He dropped to his hands and knees.
His hands and feet became paws, and his legs gained and extra joint as his wolf form began to take full shape. Now he was at his full height of fifteen feet while on all fours. His human voiced was replaced by a low, dull growl. A tail sprouted from his back end and whipped from one side to another. His eyes again changed to a radiant gold, his coat was now dark shade of blue, crowned with an ice blue mane. The growling stopped. His nose twitched a few times to get the scent of the surrounding area. Turning his head down to his hosts, Alex slowly sat his back end down and awaited a response.
