As soon as the transaction was complete, the Count tipped his hat and bowed to Adelina before taking his leave. He knew she would speculate as to why he wanted the paintings delivered at night, and he knew that the woman wouldn't be able to stay away and would come to his door to make the delivery himself. Disappearing into the daylight Dracula knew that the first of many victims would come to him willingly as the suns set on the morrow.
