Adelina was awoken by her maid and was dressed in a beautiful red Victorian style dress to begin her day allowing her long raven-black hair to flow freely pass her shoulders and down her back. With the exception of her help Adelina lived alone in her home that was located near the castle side. A district that had been labeled by the poor as the "rich district" with a sour taste in their mouth. Adelina gave them no mind as it was simple anger and jealousy that made them hate the rich and successful like they did.
Adelina was escorted out of her home and into a carriage. On the way she could see several different tents set up on the main road blocking people's path and slowing down traffic. They were fortunate that Constantine Harker wasn't present in one of his fancy sports cars as Adelina doubted he'd slow down for any one of them. Helped inside her carriage Adelina relaxed as she was led down the street, waiting for the people to be moved by police on patrol and ignoring insults hurled at her as they made their way to the Arts Museum she now ran.
It was a large white building with pillars across the entrance and size took up the same space as three medium sized houses that would be next to each other. The carriage stopped at the entrance and Adelina was helped out of the back as she continued inside the Art Museum to the main entrance which held golden floors, white walls, a white ceiling and royal blue carpets. On the walls were several different paintings for view and an auction room to the far right of the main entrance where paintings were bought and sold regularly.
Adelina parted from her escorts and went up to the second floor of the Museum, walking down the narrowed halls and greeting those who passed her by with a smile as she admired the new paintings that hung on the wall. Many were drawn pieces of the countryside around Hallowton and others were much more darker. One painting even displayed the zeppelin that hung in the sky above a burning castle depicting the attack on their city. As great, and terrible as that was Adelina's eyes wandered over to another painting in the halls. Stopping completely as she stood before a large painting that displayed a woman, in red with black hair like herself, leaning back into a man in black with crimson eyes holding onto her. The woman willingly giving herself up to the man as his teeth was coming close to the female's throat. Her gloved hand came up to rub her own throat as she looked the image over. Imagining herself in the woman's shoes and what one would have to go through to even consider walking so willingly into death's cold embrace.

"Nosferatu. Vampire. A famous creature who prowls the night and drinks from the blood of the living to sustain his own cursed life."
Sounded a voice to the right of Adelina which grew louder as the footsteps drew nearer. When she turned around she would see a man of remarkable taste dressed in gray complete with a top hat and black cane in his right hand and boots slowly approaching her. Dark round blue glasses hung on his nose and lowered to allow his brown eyes with a hint of mystique to find hers. Gazing into them only for a brief moment as he stood next to her and looked over the painting.
"Here we have the sacrifice. The blood red dress symbolizing the absence of innocence as she gives herself willingly to the beast that craves her blood. The beast showing no remorse as he reaches out to claim her throat and add another life to his own. His eyes staring as if into the soul of the viewer, as if to taunt them for the on-looker can do nothing to save the woman who has sealed her own fate a long time ago. Yet another soul drastically lost to the Nosferatu."

Adelina turned around and saw the fellow admirer in gray and blue walk up to her while giving his overview of the painting in front of them. Adelina always enjoyed a good discussion on art and was more than happy to be quiet and listen to the man's words. Intrigued by the ways he explained things as if he had a personal tide to what was being discussed. But the main that that drew her in was his eyes. A mystery was always irresistible even for a woman as evolved as herself. She wondered just what secrets those eyes were storing away as he finally finished speaking.
"You know a lot about vampires, do you, Mister...?"

"Dracula," he continued as he took the gloved hand of the lady and brought it up to his lips. "Count Dracula." Kissing the back of her hand all while keeping his eyes locked onto hers and letting it go as gently as he had taken it in his hand. "And you can say I'm an expert."

A gentleman. Always nice. Judging from his clothes and conduct this man fit right in among the more wealthiest of Hallowton citizens but Adelina knew everyone in the district and has never seen or heard of this man before meaning that he was new. But from where? Adelina offered him a smile as he kissed the back of her gloved hand and returned it to her side during introductions.
"Count Dracula. I am Adelina the owner of this Art Gallery."
She held onto her dress by the skirt and greeted him with a bow.
"It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Have you just arrived?"

"The pleasure is all mine, milady."
He returned her bow with a bow of his own, allowing a small smile to grace his facial features before readjusting his stance and standing at his full height of just over six feet. His eyes continuing to look at hers and noticing the curiosity and intrigue within them. He knew she wanted to learn more of him, to be closer to him whether she desired a companion or not and he knew that like all the others before her, that desire would be her undoing.
"Just last night from Elim. I decided to do some sight seeing and came here to see if there was anything to add to my collection of paintings from overseas."

"You flatter me."
Needless to say Adelina was enjoying the man's company. It was so good to see a foreigner who didn't bring about trouble in the act of open warfare or floods across the city leading to the homeless who now disrupted the flow of traffic. Then again he was also from the same realm as her where the others were not.
"Would you be interested in purchasing this then?" asked Adelina motioning to the painting they were both admiring.

"Only telling the truth, milady."
Dracula looked to the painting one more time, and the price, before returning his glance to the woman in red.
"I wasn't aware anything on the walls were for sell. However, I feel this particular piece may scare away guests with how much the vampire myth has risen here in Hallowton. I hear tales that the Hellsing organization that has been established here under order of the Queen hold such creatures. And even though they protect this city some of the locals are... less than satisfied?"

"The people are angry. They can't take it out on the enemy so they dump it on the people who swore to protect them instead."
Adelina frowned as she spoke, saddened to see how far Hallowton has fallen since the assault by General Vulture. Many of the people here have fallen away from Hallowton tradition and those who remained pure were both ridiculed and ignored while being personally annoyed at how much lee way the outsiders have been given to change their home. It was a difficult time and with the homeless situation rising it wasn't going to get any better any time soon.
"If you'd follow me, Count, there are some more lighthearted pieces of art just around the corner of the countryside that you may be interested in."

Count Dracula followed Adelina around the corner, his eyes falling upon the paintings of the land itself admiring the beauty and uniqueness in each piece of art before looking to the owner of the Art Gallery.
"How much?"

"3000 gold for the whole set," replied Adelina. That small genuine smile remaining on her delicate features as she kept her gaze on him. "I can have them shipped to your place if you'd prefer. Where are you staying?"

"Southeast of the district in the newly reconstructed house next to the ocean. A delivery would do greatly. Normally I would just bring the art to my chariot outside but with the crime rate rapidly growing and the homeless setting up tents throughout the roads I fear I may be drawing more attention to myself than I am already."

"Understandable," replied Adelina. "A lot of the people here are becoming restless. The Vulture has managed to bring out an ugliness in them never seen before. Only a few people have remained true to the tradition of Hallowton and they are little more than an afterthought. And the poor and homeless attack the rich because they are what they longed to be. But let's not get caught up in the sorrows of my city. I'll have these painting delivered to you tomorrow morning at the earliest, will that be all?"

The Count was forced to hold back a scoff in favor of keeping up his disguise. Tradition... A tradition of what? Standing back and allowing entire armies to destroy their homes? Ten thousand years ago had this place existed it would have been conquered or destroyed for good.
"I'm afraid I'll be out all morning and afternoon tomorrow. Evening would be a better time for you to send these paintings over but yes, that will be all."

Evening. Such a strange point in time to request a delivery and it made her wonder what he'd be doing for twenty-four hours straight but it was none of her business really. Adelina simply smiled and nodded in response to the request.
"As you wish, Count. I will have your paintings delivered to your address tomorrow evening."
