The dual suns came up on another sunny day in Hallowton as new ships were starting to dock in to give the city more supplies for the coming day. All was peaceful at the moment and the only thing indicating there was anything wrong with the world was the blood red sky above caused by the demon realm merging with this one. If the time came where she could no longer be neutral in the conflict she would do so so she may go on to find her way back and any others like her who was lost. For the time being however Saturn had no business getting involved in the situation here. It wasn't her Queen, her kingdom or her planet. It wasn't even the same universe. Any involvement on her part could lead to severe consequences down the line that the other outsiders to this place may have been willing to risk, but not she. Not now.
For the first time since coming to this world Saturn was dressed in casual clothes instead of the sailor fuku. Wearing a long sleeve black shirt and matching shoes. A lavender pair of pants and jacket over the shirt. The Silence Glaive was nowhere to be found on her body but through her power it could easily be called upon when she needed it. Her violet eyes looking out to the horizon as she began to ponder on what all to expect on this journey. They had already done battle with technology she never thought possible and met many different creatures who naturally she didn't completely trust. Even the people she was traveling with has not earn her trust entirely yet. Already she knew that could and would only cause more trouble down the line.

“Well, look at you. Wearing pants...”
Ayen walked up to Saturn's side and looked out to the ships that were coming in. It looked like these were able to avoid the wrath of the apparent Sea Witch that led the mermaid wraith who tried to kill him at these very docks. Good. Ayen didn't want to think about how worse things would be if every ship that sailed in and out were taken out by that thing but as far as he knew Lori already tasked someone to take care of it. Ayen looked over to Saturn, surprised to see her in something more subtle for a change.
“You look nice.”

Hotaru didn't say anything in response to Ayen's pants comment. She just continued to look out to the horizon as the blonde talked, her head slightly turning to acknowledge the male that once thought it'd be a good idea to look up her skirt. That aside he held his own quite well during the attack on Hallowton and helped make sure Lori was able to escape with the surviving kids from the burned down orphanage so she could neither question his courage nor his resolve. She was confident he'd make a formidable ally in the coming days alongside Yuna. If there was nothing here holding him back.
"Ayen. We should be departing soon. You still coming with us?"

"Ayen. We should be departing soon. You still coming with us?"
“Yes. I took a long hard look at everything Lori acquired since the attack and I gotta say, I feel sorry for the bastard that tries messing with them. She doesn't need me.”
Ayen folded his arms and then turned to face the Soldier of Silence completely. Lori had also insisted that Ayen not stay behind for her sake. Had it not been for everyone now helping out Hallowton he would have persisted more. There was still a part of him that wanted to stay and help Lori fight off Isafaro and the demon army but Yuna needed him more. And who would Saturn have to banter with without him?
“Looks like you won't be getting rid of me after all,” he teased.

Hotaru didn't have much to say on the new city's defenders. She didn't know much about them. The only thing she did know was that they were the same as them. Outsiders who didn't belong to this world and had to adapt accordingly. If there was no way home for her she too would have learn to intergrade herself into this society. But until then she planned to go back home.
"What do you know about Elim?"

"What do you know about Elim?"
“Just what they taught us in school. Elim is one of the larger continents northeast of our position. Humans are the minority so I expect we're receive a lot of flak from the locals there. More so than usual.”
It seemed like wherever they went people would always give them a hard time. Natives here that lived outside of Hallowton would have given Yuna and Saturn problems just for not belonging here, Ayen for mingling with them. And people in Elim disliked the presence of humans in general. Ayen wasn't worried though. If worse came to worse he'd just have to charm the pants off some elves. Or dwarf women. Ayen shivered a bit.
“Lori was kind enough to give us some of the books she had on the place so we won't be going in completely blind.”

Ayen had her interest now. She had already ran into some people here who could be described in her world as youmas while the majority were human like Ayen. Well, maybe not exactly like Ayen. His manipulation over electricity and telepathy definitely made him stand out among the rest. Now if only he could do something about that attitude.
"What's the population?"

"What's the population?"
“Mostly elven folk. You have some humans in the mountain regions and then the dead lands which is made up of bandits, necromancer, legions of undead and other low lives that people tend to steer clear from. Then there's the volcanic regions with Fire Creatures. It's all rather mythical and shit. No real technology to speak of like there is here. We'll most likely have to camp out more in-between cities too.”

Elven folk. So there were elves here. It would be nice to be among company who knew how to control their emotions, assuming they were like the elves of myth and legend from her own universe. The Soldier of Silence could certainly think of several of her comrades who would be drawn to the elves, and several more to the mountains. It was possible that if Sailor Mars was here she'd be in the volcanic regions where her powers would be at their strongest. It was dangerous to assume too much however.
"What's our opposition?"

"What's our opposition?"
“Depends. You plan on picking a fight?” replied Ayen with a raised eyebrow. “We're bound to run into some goblins, orcs and other basic creatures you'd read about from any Fantasy Novel to ever exist but other than that, unless we're running around picking fights I doubt we'll run into much trouble as long as we steer clear of the Dead City and Ignis.”

"You don't have to pick a fight to have opposition."
What happened during the attack on Hallowton was a prime example of that. The people here weren't the kind to pick fights, they weren't the kind to step a foot out of line or disturb anyone else's affairs, much like her. And still, from what she has learned while among them, Hallowton has been attacked the most times out of any other city in Jherra.
"I've been meaning to ask..."
Hotaru's violet eyes were on Ayen now, narrowed in his direction as the expression on her face told him that she wanted a straight up answer when the question parted her lips.
"What are you?"

"You don't have to pick a fight to have opposition."
“I guess.”
"I've been meaning to ask..."
“Hm?”
"What are you?"
“A mutant.”

"A mutant?"
Hotaru faced Ayen fully now as she was curious to hear more. Yes she knew what a mutant was but obviously not every mutant nor the way they came about was the same. Was this mutation the result of human evolution? Did that mean the rest of Hallowton were mutants too? Was he born this way or did someone grow him in a lab? Normally she'd just say it was none of her business but if they were going to be traveling together then it was her business.
"Explain."

"A mutant? Explain."
Ayen shrugged. He wasn't good at details when it came to this sort of thing but he'd try anyway.
“A genetic mutation that gives me certain abilities. I can create and manipulate electricity with my bare hands. I can read people thoughts, though I have to touch them to read anything deeper and I can defy gravity to fly through the air. If you want specifics on how that is possible go ask a scientist.”
Ayen shifted the weight from his right foot to his left and tucked his hands into his pockets as he looked over to the horizon.
“What about you? Is there a reason you dress like a girl scout and carry that polearm around? Speaking of that polearm, where is it anyways?”

Create and manipulate electricity. That reminded the Soldier of Silence of Sailor Jupiter back home, only her power came from the planet Jupiter and not a genetic mutation. After answering her question Ayen inquired about her fuku and the weapon she was destined to wield since childbirth.
"I'm the guardian of the planet Saturn in my realm. The Soldier of Death and Rebirth. The weapon you see me wield is called the Silence Glaive a powerful weapon that is the symbol of death for my people."
