"It matters not to me if they decide to stay here or go to Hallowton," replied Kain to Jeho before looking to Demetrios. "Not that long ago, if you hurry you can still catch up to them." Kain turned to Kyrie and Miracle. "The Auto-turrets we have installed are designed to lock onto a certain type of energy and uses that energy against the target. If the army adapts to an enchantment it will switch to another and continue buying us time. We also have the straitjacket 2.0. and MBT-700 Firewalker given to us by Harker and my A. I White Queen will be heading the unmanned armored vehicles and before you ask I don't have time to go into specifics."Kain looked to everyone who was offering a hand and replied, "Then you'll be divided among my men and taken to the front lines of all four entrances to the city. The soldiers off the docks will escort you accordingly."

Edie blew up a large round ball of gum before causing it to pop back into her mouth and continued to chew before speaking,
“One of their generals got a bad case of indigestion and had to be sent home. The city's defenders are currently holding their ground the best they can and some unknown is outmaneuvering their leader. By the time the Netherrealm gets through with the city we'll be prepared for their assault so props to the people there for that. I already know that Jill, Ra, The Sisterhood and Maya will be making an appearance for this battle.” |

Kyrie didn't have much else to say. By the sound of it they had everything under control and plenty of time to put their plans into action. She had no idea what this straitjacket or an A.I was but she was certain she'd find out soon enough. Nodding to Kain, Kyrie took her leave of the docks and were escorted by the soldiers standing in wait.

Jehanne listened to Kain and was impressed by his answer. It sounded like they were prepared to end this invasion here and Jehanne was all too happy to help make that happen. There was also a general among the demon army that Miracle and herself had a score to settle with. She turned her head back to Miracle and waited to hear the word to press onward.

Utena followed Kyrie off of the docks, sparing one more glance towards June and offering her a weak smile before turning away and reaching the Kari soldiers waiting for her. This time she was going to do more than just running back and forth, or being overwhelmed. This time she was going to help ensure that the demon army advancement on the world ended here.

Miracle only nodded in response to Kain before looking over to the rest of her people.
"Come."
Motioning they move forward, the High Priestess led Jehanne and the Holy Knights to be escorted by the other Kari soldiers to where they could be useful in the battle to come.

At least they had some good news this time, although the Blind Assassin doubt how much losing one general would hurt an army as massive as the Netherrealm. Among the names of the Utopia elite that Edie explained of course one stood out from them all.

The psycho bitch that hasn't been seen since Utopia 'alleged staged' attempt to merge the universes together to lure Tajna out into the open and expose him as the fraud he was.

The others were being escorted away to help with the city's defense and the Soldier of Justice and Truth wouldn't be far behind as she walked away from the core group, pass Fukari and Edie who were speaking in prviate just outside the dock area and then to the guard of soldiers that were waiting for her and said goodbye to Artemis who'd be taken to a shelter for the time being.

"See you on the flip side," said Aminee before going off to join with the others. While during so she drew her basic 9mm and began checking it. Wondering if a set of dual twin pistols would be better suited for her than a single semi-automatic. A thought she continued to ponder on as the soldiers came up to escort her. The Pop Idol would have to see for herself once she got to their armory.

"Perhaps it would be better to escort the Moon Valley refugees to Hallowton. You'll want every resource available to you when the army hits and there may be no time to evacuate if things go wrong this time."

Mr. Jacobs went to speak to the other parents present before addressing Kain again.
“We'll go to Hallowton. That way you won't have to waste any resources and focus your attention on stopping the Netherrealm's invasion here.”
"Maya? Luca's going all out for this one too, I see."
“Now would be a good time for the rest of you to go all out as well.”
Edie turned around and went back to the small outpost Utopia has set up for their people expecting the Blind Assassin not to be too far behind once she was done with her business concerning the others from Jherrazad.
Tori followed her parents off of the docks, her eyes looking around the area as they headed over to stay at the shelter until Kari could prepare a path for them to Hallowton. It gutted a lot of them that all they could do was move from one place to another, not able to do anything more in the actual fight. But they were just going to have to swallow their pride and have faith that this time, this time the demon army wouldn't come out on top. |
