Our lovely admin is turning 23 today and since I'll be sitting down to watch what I have no doubts will be another terrible live action Resident Evil movie, I'm going to take this time to embarrass him some more with another story.
Every year before we started going to McDonalds or Pizza Hut, ToriJ's parents would host his birthday at his place with all his friends. It had everything you'd expect a birthday to have; hats, blow horns, presents and the birthday cake.
Only thing missing was a happy birthday boy!
So we'd all get together and bring out the cake and naturally it would follow with the ever so classic, always enjoyable "Happy Birthday" song. ToriJ HATED that song. Absolutely hated it. You could see the boy grinding his teeth through the whole thing he hated it so much. I have no idea why, I don't think we ever got a real explanation he'd just say he doesn't like the song. Makes no sense.
After that he'd walk up to the cake laid out on the table with the candles lit, frowning. ToriJ was actually frowning on his birthday. ToriJ come on, you can't be Bella Swan yet it's a decade too early! It's not your 30th Birthday it's your 3rd, or 4th, I can't remember exactly which one this was. Smile, it's not that hard just for the love of God smile.
After a couple of seconds of frowning ToriJ would finallyblow out the candles fight with the candles. He'd take in a deep breath, blow, and the candles wouldn't go out. He'd take another deep breath and blow, and still the candles wouldn't go out. I think this went on for a couple more minutes with him becoming frustrated and myself quietly chuckling before finally his mom blew out the candles for him and we'd finally get some cake. Except ToriJ. Why?
ToriJ doesn't like cake.

How can you not like cake? What child in the world doesn't like cake. Chocolate cake no less! You are turning down CHOCOLATE! This is blaspheme. This is madness! I mean you never thought beforehand to tell your parents that you didn't like cake or the "Happy Birthday" song? It isn't like this was a surprise party, you would have been present for most of the planning. So every birthday after that we never sang him "Happy Birthday" and we never had cake. We either ate out at McDonalds or Pizza Hut.
