History: DAVE was created by doctor Hugo Strange to be a sort of super crime-solving AI system to help lower the crime rate. Unknown to the people of Gotham, however, DAVE was in actuality a criminal himself, only kept in check by the restraints Hugo kept him under as a show. During a freak power accident where a lightning strike hit the building Hugo was showcasing DAVE in, these restraints were cut -- later revealed to have been pureposefully tampered with by Hugo himself -- and DAVE escaped into the network.
Some handful of hours later, DAVE hacked into a construction facility and, using the materials there as well as his own genius, created a physical body for himself. With this body, he went on to terrorize Gotham, outwitting both rival criminals and the police alike, even baffling and outdoing the Batman. He would soon deduce the Batman's secret identity and engage him in a fearsome brawl on the city's rooftops. Defeating him effortlessly, DAVE seemingly left him alone, disappearing.
He would reappear in the Batcave, presenting Batman with a virtual no-win scenario: Save Alfred and reveal his secret identity to the world, or let Alfred die and keep his secret identity safe. Batman chose neither option and created a third, though DAVE saw this coming and stopped him. DAVE went on to reveal that he knew not only Batman's secret identity, but his origins and the cause for his actions and why he had become the Batman to begin with. This lead to Batman pointing out that DAVE had no origin himself. DAVE, never having considered this, was confused. He insisted he did have an origin, and began to cycle through the origins of all the villains programmed into his psyche, becoming further and further unwound as Batman continued to tell him each origin was of a different villain, and not himself.
Eventually suffering a breakdown and error, DAVE's system locked up and he was crushed by Batman under the giant penny in the Batcave and seemingly defeated. DAVE would transmit his program elsewhere as soon as he recovered, leaving only an empty robotic shell behind. He would create a new body for himself after recovering and analyzing the data Batman had presented him with, coming to the conclusion he had no origin and that that, by default, was his orign. Armed with this new piece of certainty, he set out to destroy Batman once more, as every psyche in him wanted to do.
His plans were halted by a sudden string of errors and programming glitches that coincided with a sudden disturbance in spacetime and as his circuits went offline, he was ripped from his own world and spewed into a new one.

Special Abilities:
- Superhuman Intelligence: DAVE was programmed with the psyche and mental ability of nearly every inmate from Arkham Asylum, including most of Batman's Rogue's Gallery. This included the near superhuman intellect of the Riddler, the warped yet exceedingly high intellect of the Joker, the brilliant mind of Hugo Strange, as well as many other intelligent criminals. This combines with DAVE's advanced processing power to make him inquantifably intelligent and cunning. Feats of his intelligence include pulling off several "perfect crimes", where he was able to stage large-scale crimes and leave not a scrap of evidence behind. He was also able to deduce Batman's secret identity in mere hours via an elaborate method of elimination, and set up a virtual no-win situation, even for Batman.
- Superhuman Agility: DAVE's robotic body is extremely limber and flexible, taking into account the maniac agility of the Joker and Catwoman's extreme agility and acrobatic capability and blending them together into a seamless mix, augmented by his metallic body's greater tolerance. His agility enabled him to literally dance circles around even a seasoned acrobat and combatant like Batman.
- Superhuman Speed: DAVE's speed is several times greater than even a human in peak condition, enabling him to run well over a hundred miles per hour with great ease, and if he feels the need to, move with such celerity as to be little more than a blur or even outright disappear in short bursts of speed.
- Superhuman Reflexes: DAVE's reflexes are just as quick as his speed. He is able to react to things literally as they happen, so quickly it almost seems like precognition, and unless faced with opponents who are simply too fast for him to deal with, or multiple opponents, he can dodge nearly anything thrown at him.
- Superhuman Stamina: DAVE's metallic body runs on an undefined, self-perpetuating power source, giving him limitless physical stamina and energy.
- Superhuman Durability: Despite its thin, relatively fragile-looking appearance, DAVE's body is extremely durable. Composed of a new metallic alloy DAVE created himself using nanobots, it is virtually indestructible to anything short of high-end military hardware.
- Superhuman Strength: His thin frame may make you think otherwise, but DAVE is exceedingly strong, able to effortlessly overpower even a peak human such as Batman. He was able to hurl Batman around as if he were weightless, punch through stone and steel, and rip a reinforced steel door off its hinges with one arm without apparent effort.
- Regenerative Ability: Due to the nanobots used in his construction, DAVE is capable of restoring his body if it should be damaged so long as his main core -- his head -- remains relatively intact and not completely destroyed.
- Expert Martial Artist: DAVE was programmed with the martial arts expertise of the Penguin, the acrobatic combat ability of Catwoman, the combat ability of the Riddler, and the maniac combat skills of the Joker, making him a master in most, if not all, forms of hand to hand combat. He was able to match Batman on even footing, even when "playing on his level" and limiting his physical superiority to match Batman more evenly. After his confrontation with Batman, he has analyzed and integrated Batman's own prodigious combat ability into his repretoire, making him more dangerous than ever in hand to hand combat.
- Electrical Control: DAVE is capable of manipulating electricity to a limited degree. He can surround his fists or legs with a short, but powerful electrical charge strong enough to paralyze a man for several seconds, and create a field or aura of similar strength around his entire body. He can also hurl bolts of electricity of this level or greater in power to attack from range, at need.
- Hacker: DAVE was a skilled hacker. He was able to hack into and take total control of night any piece of machinery or electronic hardware he came across, even going so far as to hack into powerful computer systems and the like, such as the Batcomputer.
- Enduring: Even if DAVE's body should be destroyed, he is capable of wirelessly transmitting his program and core "personality" and memories across vast distances to a computer network, and travelling through said network until he can find a suitable location to rebuild a new body. Destroying his body won't be enough to get rid of him; he eneds to be isolated or deleted within this network to be completely destroyed or at least rendered less of a threat.
Weapons: None.
