"No!" Utena yelled. "We're going to get through this!"
Even if Moon Valley fell Utena wouldn't allow any of her friends to die, especially not the one who got her out of the forest and back into the arms of civilization. Aminee never turned her back on Utena so Utena wasn't about to turn her back on Aminee. She continued to fight off the soldiers that came their way with all her might, fighting to keep the hopelessness of the situation from sinking in. It even looked like they could be hope when Superwoman closed the portal up ahead, but the ripples in the air opened up and more soldiers came pouring out as they were right back where they were.
Fighting an unstoppable army that threatened to overwhelm them.

Quan Chi was alert and observant, the Amulet found around his neck reacting automatically to Demetrios' charge as it teleported (no portals, just moved from one part of the field to another) him away from the Sorcerer and into the priest mere seconds before his sword came crashing down. |

Noob pulled back to evade the bayonets and then kept his distance from the priest when Demetrios appeared launching an attack against Anderson due to Quan Chi's trickery. |

Sailor V let go of her chain as Scorpion pulled it towards him and then unleashed a narrow beam of energy into the yellow ninja's eyes to reclaim her chain.

"It's hopeless," said Aminee while tears poured down her cheeks. "We're going to die." A belief reinforced when more dimensional rifts were forced open and even more demons came pouring out. The Pop Idol declared herself a goner then and there, placing her arms over her head and awaiting the sweet release of death's embrace.

Seeing such damage done to the fabric of space and time greatly angered the Goddess. How anyone could be so reckless and not give a damn about the repercussions? A bright blue aura glowed around Kara's divine body, filling up her eyes as she glared into the Crimson Devil's soul. "Ranko! I will not tolerate your insubordination any longer!" Raising up her hands the Woman of Steel opened the rifts up further but only with the intention of forcing the Netherrealm's army back in. "I banish you, and your army of demons, away from his place and out of my sight!" The ground shook at her authority and in the seconds to pass, Ranko and her army would find themselves being driven back into the Netherrealm with the portals closing behind them, unable to return to Jherra. "Go back to hell!"

Anderson was paying attention to everything around him. Though he didn't understand fully what was going to happen at first, when he saw Demetrios suddenly vanish and crash into the barriers around him his instinct kicked in.
The barriers only slowed high powered attacks such as this. It gave him that brief moment to raise his sword and ground himself. When Demetrios's sword collided with his own it pushed him digging his heels in the dirt. He gritted his teeth at the knight.

For the first time in centuries, laughter parted the Crimson Devil's lips. The exile by the Goddess was ignored and the demon army continued their flooding of Moon Valley as the dimensional rifts remained open allowing more demons to come pouring out and attack the defenders. They couldn't hold their ground for long and Ranko would make sure her army would keep coming.
"Go back to hell!"
“You're already in hell!”
Thanks to the Netherrealm merging with Genesis, Ranko's influence began to grow in the region, rivaling that of the gods, that of Superwoman, allowing her to bypass the banishment and keep her army advancing on Moon Valley. Why Quan Chi has never invaded this place during his 10,000 year reign before being bested by her she would never know. His lost would be her gain. |

Scorpion was temporarily blinded by the energy beam to his eyes while Sailor V reclaimed her chains. Recovering, the specter came in with a kick, vanishing mid-way through and reappearing behind Sailor V with a burning kick aimed at the lower spine. |

Utena fought her hardest against the soldiers but she could see that it was all for naught. They weren't gaining any ground and their enemies kept being doubled by second. How she managed to hold her own here for this long was nothing short of a miracle but Utena wasn't going to push her luck any longer. Helping the Pop Idol back onto her feet she called out to the others, "We have to get out of here! Superwoman! We have to-!" One of the fallen angels caught her off guard, slamming Utena into the wall and stabbing her in the stomach. Her body collapsing to the ground below her when the soldier pulled his sword out.

Quan Chi went further into the city and set ablaze to the buildings and the people still attempting to escape from the clenches of the relentless demon army. Screams echoed across the crimson red sky along with burning ashes as the once peaceful small mountain town came crumbling down beneath the force of the Netherrealm. |

Noob joined Quan Chi further into the city, making copies of himself and launching shurikens to cut down the runaway crowd while also sending shadows of himself to take down others. His own powers growing stronger thanks to the Netherrealm merging with Genesis. |

Just as the blade would have hit home, Demetrios suddenly found himself staring down his blade at the priest from some distance away. The damned sorcerer had teleported him away!
His reflex almost instantaneous, the Ajerian withdrew out of the strike, turning on his heel and spinning harmlessly around the paladin, coming to rest and facing him for a moment.
"Apologies," he said quickly, nodding to the armed priest. "The sorcerer would have his enemies at each other's throats, it seems."
He turned to face the advancing army, pushing further into the city.
"Time for some merry old slaughter, I think."
With that, the Ajerian exploded into combat once more. Like a hound baying for blood, he tracked the sorcerer and other elites through the streets; with each swing of his blade, each massive pressure wave unleashed from the demonic steel, he carved down soldiers by the dozen, rending their souls from their bodies. All around him, great fissures opened in the ground, sending torrents of lava rushing down side streets and immolating still more of the demon troops before sealing up again. Not a single one of them would be allowed to resurrect; and the Ajerian monster closed in on Quan Chi again, butchering hundreds of hapless soldiers as he marched unstoppably against Ranko's army.

Sailor V cried out in pain when the foot hit her lower back, cracking the bottom half of her spine and paralyzing her as she fell against the ground. Seeing her cat Artemis running up to her from among the sea of soldiers calling out her name while the sound around her began to fade away and soldiers started trampling on her.

"Utena!"
Aminee ran over to help Utena but a sword ran her through from behind and she went into shock by the time the sword was pulled out. Blood dripped down her clothes and she fell against the ground by Utena's side as the soldier who stabbed her saw it fit to weigh down the heel of his right foot against the back of her head, looking to crush it.
