Moon Valley has gone through several skirmishes in the past couple of months and it was all about to come to a head. The ground trembled in fear as the very planet felt the disturbance that was being created from beneath it in the Demon World. The uprising of the new Netherrealm Queen. The demon seal that the Moon Valley citizens had done their best to forget about was opened once again and the sky turned as red as blood, this time from the other side, as the Crimson Devil stepped through the rift and marched forward into the main road of small mountain town, Moon Valley.
With the legions of hell behind her.
They were not mere soldiers expected to be used as cannon fodder. Each knight behind her was a warrior dangerous enough on their own and devastating as a single unit. They came out of the rift in four rows that appeared to be endless with each step they took. Once upon a time they marched to the beat of Lord Yahweh's drum, and then Lord Beelzebub when they fell from grace. Now they marched to the beat of their new Queen. Queen Ranko. The people before them were paralyzed in fear as with one swift flick of her demonic blade, they were cut down by a wave of demonic energy adding their souls to the vast and powerful armies that was the Netherrealm.
The invasion has begun. |

Among the army of fallen angels behind the Crimson Devil was the specter Scorpion, standing in front of the row of angels on the far left side of the Queen as his glowing white eyes looked out ahead at the carnage being unleashed on the world. It has been centuries since the specter stepped out on Genesis soil, the same soil that saw his death and later the same soil that saw Sub-Zero killed by his hand. A spear shot out from his palm and stabbed a mortal man up ahead, pulling him towards Scorpion to be impaled on his sword as the demon army advanced through the city. |

As the army continued to advance through the city they would spot a single individual up ahead, who instead of running, was standing her ground with nothing but the clothes on her back, a small bible held underneath her arm and her Rapier in the sheath tied to her waist. Fear was apparent in her eyes but the only difference between bravery and cowardice was the action. Not the emotion. She took a step forward and put that fear to rest by remembering what she had read in the book in her hand.
"Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you. Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense: he has become my salvation."
Utena stopped moving after the step forward and rested her other hand over the hilt of her blade as she stared towards the army, more confident after the words she had recited.
"Stop! Don't take another step closer!"

Even though he had been dethroned the Crimson Devil kept Quan Chi on as her right-hand man, his sorcery and experience being too good for even Queen Ranko to throw away like a piece of garbage. He stood to the half devil's right, his eyes now looking out to the single female that opposed them with her bible and fencing sword. Curiously did he stare at her as he was wondering what game were being played that Moon Valley main defense would be a child. "Those words are meaningless here, young one. Your god is dead! His divine intervention can no longer protect you."The Sorcerer held up his hand at the girl, green flames drawing from the palm as he looked over to Ranko. "Just say the word." |

Noob Saibot was also among the armies of hell, on the far right side of the Queen straight across from Scorpion's position. As a single young female warrior stepped up to surrender her life for Genesis the shadow remained where he was standing not saying a word. Already he could sense the merging between the two realms beginning as the sky shinned down a ray of red light on what was soon to be a blood spilt battlefield. And Noob could not wait to get started. |

The first attack would be Moon Valley's, a large beam of energy shooting down the row of soldiers to Ranko's left, where no man stood in front of them, looking to take out a portion of hell's armies as the one behind the beam, Sailor V, jumped down from above next to Utena with her holy blade in her right hand. "This is as far as you go." Ready to fight by the girl's side.

Quan Chi would receive a 9mm to the hand for his trouble, serving as a warning as the Pop Idol stood on the opposite side of Sailor V next to Utena, not having much to say about the blonde in the sailor outfit as the army in front of them and the literal hell above was a little more important. Her eyes narrowed over Quan Chi as she spoke, "Back off!" Aminee looked over to Utena out of the corner of her eye as the last thing she wanted to do was take all of her focus away from this threat. She whispered to Utena, "You know, counting the clips I only have sixty shots total." Aminee looked to the numbers on Ranko's side. "Remind me to raid the gun shop."

"That's where you're wrong, Sorcerer!" Up from above descended the new god of Jherra, the Goddess of Truth and Justice. Her feet touching the ground in front of the three women who had came to Moon Valley's defense already, staring at the armies of the Netherrealm as once again all of Genesis was being threatened by a force that wanted to merge itself with it. "There is a god here to protect them and you're looking right at her!" Kara took in a deep breath and unleashed a powerful blast of her Super Breath, otherwise impossible without her godhood, that threatened to blow them back into the rift from which they came.

Ranko came to a stop and the army behind her followed suit as she looked to the citing bible verses she remembered back when she was a little girl.

How pitiful. Moon Valley on the verge of collapse only had a child to send to fight for them. The Crimson Devil would have to put the rest of the town out of its misery for their cowardice.

Ranko held out Kasul and knocked the incoming energy beam off its trajectory by absorbing it into the blade before it could hit her soldiers. They braced the winds that drew from Superwoman's breath and continued forward. The soldiers went out ahead, quickly surrounding the four women who stood in Moon Valley's defense shielding them from the elites; Ranko, Quan Chi, Scorpion, Noob Saibot, field of vision as the Crimson Devil charged the Goddess of Jherra with the tip of the demon blade aimed for her heart. |

Scorpion took advantage of the soldiers surrounding the field to go about unseen and attack Utena with a Flaming Backflip Kick to the side of her face. |

They were surrounded with nowhere to run yet there were so many places for one to hide. Utena charged one of the fallen angels but was knocked away by him right when Scorpion came with the Flaming Backflip Kick that instead hit the fallen angel Utena had gone after and knocked him back into several other soldiers knocking them down like dominos.

The bullet melted by the time it reached his hand and Quan Chi brushed his thumb across the palm to wipe the remains away before looking to the mortal that dared fire upon him. His eyes remained on the young woman as the soldiers moved out ahead and Ranko made her charge for the Goddess of Jherra. With soldiers blocking Quan Chi from Aminee's field of vision, he would cause hands of the undead to grab Aminee legs from below and pull her down into the ground where they would consume her flesh. |

Noob Saibot would begin by animating the shadows of the enemy and bringing them to life; Utena's would grab her from behind and bring her own Rapier up to slit her throat, Aminee's would pull at the top of her body as the undead hands pulled her down threatening to rip her in half, Sailor V's would grab the chains and strangle her from behind and finally Superwoman's would hold her in place to make her easy picking for the tip of Ranko's demon blade. All of this he did without the need to move a single muscle or show any signs of an attack. |

While the invasion was happening, Firebrand sat on a rooftop, contemplating where the portal had taken him. He had been through many, but this one was completely foreign to him. The smells, the sounds, the sights, so alien and new... it was... great? Dare he say great? It meant new things to do and new challenges to face. Sounds of combat spurred his attention onto what was happening in the tiny town. The demonic energy was so thick in the air that he could taste it. The skies were as red as his skin. Battle, combat, proving self-worth, his favorite things.
In a red blur, he made a huge leap off of the rooftop, catching a fat breeze with his extended wings and being propelled high into the sky. It was pretty obvious as to where the source of the sounds were. His contemplation must've made him oblivious to it. It was loads of demons versus... three women. Only three? Surely there had to be more. Firebrand decided to hang back away from the fight, landing on another rooftop to sort things out while watching the events transpire. Who did this town belong to? Demons or humans? He was born and raised around a civil war between demons only, not demons versus humans, so he was a hero among demonkin. Were the demons trying to get their town back from humans, or were humans protecting their town from an invasion?
Screw it. He'd stay out of it until his skills were necessary, then he'd fight. |

Sailor V would feel her own chains wrapped around her neck and beginning the process of cutting off her oxygen as her own shadow came to life to be her undoing. The holy blade dropped down to the ground beside her feet due to the surprise attack, giving her the use of both hands to pull the chains away from her neck. Seeing one of the fallen angels in front of her with their backs turned and facing someone else, she kicked her feet off his back and pushed both her and the shadow back into another soldier, knocking the shadow off and giving her time to grab her sword, the chains in her other hand now, and using its holy powers to remove the spell Noob Saibot had put on her shadow. Seeing Aminee in trouble, Sailor V responded by wrapping her chains around Aminee's shadow to pull her off and then sent a beam into the hands that came out of the ground.
