Said Chloe as she now stood in the castle's throne room with her friends, having asked her subjects not disturb them as she sat on her throne and looked at the two. "There are three omnipotent beings called Arashi that dictate the balance in this universe, though their jurisdiction does not end in Genesis.
"There is Veran, the bringer of Terror. Aper, the bringer of Destruction and Eos the bringer of Death. The first speaks of warning, the second attempts to purge the imbalance and the third ushers in the end to all things. The tower is the means in which Eos will bring about this end. That is why the Downward Spiral is so important to the future of Genesis and the rest of existence."

"What?" That one word summarized Aminee's reaction to what Chloe told them. Unable to process the information. What did Arashi even mean? Why did all powerful beings need something like a tower to destroy all life? Why couldn't they fix the imbalance without the need to end all life? None of it made sense but that's exactly what happened when you started talking about omnipotence. This is exactly why Aminee was an atheist in her world.

Utena wasn't any better in understanding than Aminee with what Chloe had said. Though she did recognize the word from her own world.
"Storm?"
Terror, destruction, death. Strange titles for creatures meant to preserve balance in Genesis.
"I'm sorry but what does any of this have to do with what just happened?"

The vampiress could not suppress the irritated sigh that came out of her lips, not by the duo's confusion on the matter of the Arashi as that was only natural, but by the number of times she were forced to relive this conversation explaining the same thing time and time again. And Chloe did not possess the patience, nor the stamina, of Tajna Rasha when it came to the repetitive nature of his abilities.
"It has everything to do with it," came Chloe's reply after a moment of silence. "The Arashi are agents of balance, anything that affects the balance would force their hand. And trust me the Arashi are not a creature you want to see backed into a corner. They're quite dangerous enough as is."

The irritation coming out of Chloe didn't go unnoticed by the Pop Idol as she looked towards her displeased. This was all still strange and foreign to them, just exactly what was she expecting when she told them this for the first time? "I can see your patience is growing thin. I'm sorry our simple little minds are unable to understand what comes so easily to you," Aminee replied sarcastically and plenty annoyed herself before moving on to another pressing matter. "Now what about you? Why are you behaving so strange lately? Is that related to the tower and the Arashi as well?"

"And I'm guessing our presence here threatens that balance, right?" asked Utena. "If the Downward Spiral can control the realms so easily then why doesn't the Arashi just use it to send all of us back to where we belong?"

"My impatience is not the result of your ignorance, Aminee. I apologize if it seems that way." Chloe rested a hand on her forehead, massaging it gently as she attempted to granted herself any comfort she could while her terrible misuse of Tajna's omniscience continued on at both their dismay. "Do not worry about my behavior. There are far more pressing matters at hand here."
Chloe turned her head back over to Utena as she asked her next question. "The Arashi are bounded by prophecy. They do not act outside of what is already written. And even if they could many of the realms were destroyed when Aper went supernova. Alternatively they could be sent to Utopia but then those people would be under the thumb of Maricul and Maricul can not be trusted to maintain balance. Death would be the only answer for those without a home to return to."

"The welfare of my friends is very important to me." Aminee walked up to the side of Chloe's throne with a concerned look on her face as she hunched down to look at the vampiress. "Please tell us what's wrong."

"So, we just let them die? What if we don't have a home to return to? Do we just lay down and play dead!?"
Utena didn't even want to think of what it would be like to discover that your home were destroyed by a supernova from some 'god' type thing, let alone be hunted down just to be slaughtered to help maintain some balance that must not have been all that good in the first place if all of this was allowed to happen. Aminee went over to check on Chloe's own welfare and Utena would follow suit, also wondering what was going on with the vampiress.

"I'm fine!" Chloe yelled, sitting up from her throne and walking down the few steps that separated the position of the throne from the floor. "You waste your energy on trivial matters, regardless of whether I'm fine or not I will recover. The balance that is damaged won't be so lucky." The Empress looked over to Utena to address her question from earlier. "No, we won't let them die. But by the same token..." Chloe looked to both women now. "We must not interfere when Eos begin destroying creation."

Aminee quickly backed away when Chloe suddenly snapped at them and left her throne to reclaim her personal space after both Utena and herself got close to her. That frustration from earlier was starting to build and to cap it all off Chloe would say something she never thought she would hear from her mouth. Aminee had to do a double take just to make sure Chloe had actually said it. "Now I know there's something wrong with you. The Chloe I know would never say such a thing!"

Chloe was anything but fine and the more she protested to the contrary the more Utena became worried. Nothing could have prepared her for what would come from her lips. The very idea was horrifying.
"You can't be serious."
Utena looked at her friend worried that she has finally gone mad with all the terrors she has seen since becoming a creature of the night.
"Letting this 'thing' win is exactly the same as letting those people die. You know that."

"The Chloe you knew was woefully ignorant. I have foreseen every possible outcome that can occur when Eos ascends upon Genesis and I am telling you letting her win is the only way!" The weight of her words alone made it hard to breathe, the realization of what such a sacrifice would mean would drive a man to madness. Many would die. Even more than those of the supernova. "Had man not interfere with Arashi before Eos would not be coming."

"What!?" Both shock and anger filled the Pop Idol's voice upon the Empress' latest statement. What did she mean by "I have foreseen every possible outcome that can occur?" Since when could a vampire foresee the future? Was this another addition of the Kasul's power or something else entirely? "Since when could you see the future?"

Utena couldn't believe her ears. No, she wouldn't believe it. Though this was the first time she ever heard about the Arashi and no doubt Chloe knew and understood more about them than she did she just couldn't and wouldn't believe accept that there was no other way. There had to be another way.
"You're wrong! There's always another way. Always!"
Then the Empress would say something else that would disturb her but she had to know what it meant.
"What do you mean? she asked in regard to Chloe final statement about Eos. "What did we do?"
