Kedara now found herself face to face with the awakened demon form of Zira as the only thing beneath them were below freezing temperatures water. Charging up her power, the vampiress unleashed a terrifying amount of electricity shooting through Zira's body and the air around them as her telepathy penetrated her mind and violated it in the most horrible ways possible, but it was all for naught. Zira's body and her mind both remained unphased by everything Kedara had and hopelessness soon filled her non-beating heart. Then desperation.
“Please! Please! I don't want to die! I was only following orders. Let me go and you will never see me again, I swear!” |

The Firebird only stared into Kedara's eyes as she unleashed all of her power into a single strike against her. What would have been a terrifying experience was now no more than a whisper to Zira as hope for victory was soon taken away and the vampire realized there was no escape. Already she was willing to betray her mistress, her friends, her country. All for a chance to live. Though it didn't appear on her face, it sickened Zira. To think that such swine actually existed. It degraded them all.
"Orders you were all too happy to follow until you started losing."
Zira jabbed her thumbs into Kedara's eyes, flames finding their ways into her eye sockets and forming inside the vampiress' very being as the Firebird allowed her upper-body to fall back. The flames inside her burning, and burning, and burning until the vampire could take it no longer and screamed in agony. Zira dropped her and allowed her body to fall into the water below but it would not be enough to stop the flames as Kedara were burned alive from the inside out.
The Firebird looked up to the tower and sensed that Maricul was no more but did not believe it. In a fit of rage, Zira melted the walls of the Crystal Expanse around her and created a great flood that now threatened to destroy the entire continent as she exploded into a blaze of fire and smoke, leaving Jherra damned.

From above, surrounded in a blinding blue light, came Superwoman. Now hovering above the Crystal Expanse as the water that was once frozen threatened to eradicate everything near by it off the face of Genesis. "No!" Kara extended her hand and through her will alone the devastating water of the flood began to be absorbed into the air and evaporated, sparing the continent of Jherra a cruel fate and saving everyone that would have been wiped away by the flood. But Kara would not stop there.
Using her newly acquired divinity, Kara melted away the rest of the Crystal Expanse and gave new life to the city that laid beneath it for years. Skyscrapers, businesses, streets, people, they all returned to their former glory. Even the black fog left behind by the Arashi Veran was blown away to give new life to what was once the capitol of this great city-state in the middle of the continent. The Crystal Expanse and Crystal City remnants were no more.
Kari was reborn and would return to Jherra a sovereign nation. And she gave it her blessing.
