The lights in the room went out and Aminee turned to see the apelike creature staring them down. The Pop Idol was quick to go for her pistol but there were simply no time to pull it out, the apelike monster jumped on her and brought her down to the ground, pinning her to the floor as a demented laugh could be heard coming from it. In a single instance she felt violated a second time, being reminded of those prison guards who held her down against her will and had their way with her body while laughing, pleased with themselves. Aminee tried to get the thing off of her, try to take back control but she wasn't strong enough. All she could do was get help. "Utena! Utena get this thing off me!"

Utena ran over to grab her Rapier and then back thrusting it into the back of the monster causing it to scream out in pain before it got off of Aminee but that wouldn't be enough to stop it for good. The creature rose to its feet and went after Utena now. She tried to run but it was too fast for her and now it was Utena's turn to be pinned to the ground screaming, the beast laughing once more as the Rapier was knocked away.
"Aminee!"

Aminee pulled out her 9mm and began open firing on the back of the creature, hearing what sounded like a scream but the Pop Idol couldn't be sure. Either way the monster was off of Utena and had its sight set on Aminee a second time. This time through a stroke of luck the Pop Idol was able to evade its tackle and help Utena up to her feet quickly. "We need to get out of here!" Aminee led Utena out of the hotel room and called for help. "Help! Somebody help! We're being chased!" But when the two reached the lobby they would find it completely deserted, the lighting being out for the entire building. "What the hell is going on around here?"

"I don't know, but whatever it is it must be connected to the tower."
She knew they had to get to the Downward Spiral but as she headed for the exit of the hotel a giant insect came crashing through the entrance. It went for her ankles and Utena drove the Rapier into the back of it all while screaming to Aminee, "Shoot it! Shoot it! Shoot it!"

Aminee's heart was beginning to race and it jumped into full swing when the large spider crashed through the entrance of the hotel and attacked them. They were already being chased by one terrible creature and now they had another one right in front of them. The Pop Idol unloaded more shots from the 9mm and luckily it was enough to put the creature down but there was still the immediate threat of the ape-like creature that could be heard making its way down the stairs behind them. "We need to get to the car before there are anymore surprises," Aminee said, leading Utena out of the entrance of the hotel and into the parking lot.

Utena followed Aminee outside and then saw something flying through the air above. It looked like a pteranodon but its wings were much greater in size than that of the pteranodons seen in books. Upon seeing it the former Champion of Ohtori tugged on Aminee's arm to alert her to its presence.
"Aminee, look!"
Sadly whatever it is has seen them and began flying down towards their position, releasing a high-pitched screech that shattered nearby windows as it came at them with its talons.

Aminee looked up to the creature in the air, and then heard the monster behind them drawing closer around the same time the aerial creature let out its screech. Only having so many bullets left in the 9mm the Pop Idol came to realize they had just one conceivable option left available to them. "Run!" Aminee ran across the parking lot to avoid the creature in the air that also wanted them both dead, reaching the car she rented during her time here and opening up both the driver and passenger's side with her cars keys. Once inside she stuck the keys in the ignition and started it up as quickly as possible, not even having time to strap in her seat belt as she drove them away from the hotel.

Aminee didn't have to tell her twice. If there were ever a time Utena was happy she exercised regularly now would certainly be it. Reaching the passenger's side door she quickly opened it up and hopped into the seat before slamming the door behind her. The creature still screeching and chasing them from behind, trying to tear through the top of the car with its talons as the ape-like creature was also attempting to chase them down on the road. Utena released a short scream as the talons started to tear through and began jabbing her knife up to the roof of the car towards the talons.

"Take the wheel." Aminee took off her seat belt and rolled down the window on the driver's side, climbing out halfway and aiming the 9mm towards the flying creature chasing them down while Utena kept control of the wheel. Once she had an aim locked on the creature she began to open fire on it.

"What!?"
No time to argue, Aminee was already on her way out the window as Utena grabbed the wheel and started steering so they wouldn't be ran off the road. She grunted at the shots being fired near her, her ears not taking too friendly to the loud blast of the 9mm as guns were things she had little experience with as she kept her eyes on the road and rear view mirror. And as if just to spite them, Utena could see the ape-like creature chasing them down from behind as well.
"We got more company!"

"Die! Die! Die! Die!" The aerial creature finally fell down to its death and Aminee allowed a sigh of relief from her breath but that would be short lived as Utena alerted her presence to the creature that was the first to appear back in the hotel. Wanting to save what little bullets she could, Aminee took back the wheel and rolled up the driver's door window, slamming a foot on the gas in an attempt to out run the monster now chasing them down on the ground.

One down, one to go. Utena was pushed back against her seat as Aminee pushed down harder on the gas causing the vehicle to go faster. The former Champion of Ohtori could see the monster chasing them becoming smaller in the distance but it certainly didn't look like it was going to give up any time soon. It was nothing if not persistent. But speed was on their side and Utena were already looking ahead.
"Okay, good. It's not fast enough to keep up. What do you think we'll find at the tower?"

"A little more concerned with staying alive right now." Aminee kept an eye on the rear view mirrors as she drove and she didn't take her sight off of them until the ape-like creature chasing them down could no longer be seen. Then she could finally let out a breath of fresh air as for now they were safe. For now. But like hell if she was slowing down. "We'll find out when we get there. Speaking of when we get there, do you actually have a plan for what we'll do when we get there?"

And then it hit her, like a shock to her system. She had spent all this time focused on getting to the tower and trying to stay alive on the road to it that she didn't have a plan at all on what to do. How could one plan for something they knew nothing about? Expect the unexpected; does that count as a plan? No, she needs to have something a little better than that. Think, Utena. Think!
"Find out what's causing this to happen, how to reverse the process and then stop it. That's the plan."
Simple, vague, to the point.

"I hope you know what you're doing." The wheels of the car left the dirt ground and entered into a black desert which also led to the Empire of Jherrazad. As they rode through the sand an idea popped into her head, knowing that the Empire was on the way to the Crystal Expanse. "If we're going to do this wouldn't it be better to have an army? We should get Chloe and her Empire to help before we go any further."
