"Your time is up!"
Bane stared down his opponent with eyes hidden underneath the black and white mask as he activated the Venom, allowing it to spread through his veins, increasing his height and adding one hundred pounds of muscle as it made him stronger, faster and more dangerous than he ever could be without it. This time it would be Bane that would make the first move as he charged forward and rammed his massive fist into the face of the Angel of Death.

AoD didn't move from his spot even at the immediate threat of Bane's massive fist. Instead he covered his body with new wings which turned out to be as hard as steel, enduring the punch with little to no repercussions on them before the edges of the wings extended and brandished small blade-like knives before AoD unfolded his wings and swung them furiously, and with superhuman speed and agility, slicing through Bane's flesh like knife through butter using his own wings as a deadly weapon against his opponent.

Bane faked the punch and stepped back. The ground separating them raised up into a wall of crystallized ice covered in snow as now AoD suddenly found himself face first at the mercy of a powerful force of freezing water that burst forth from the now broken wall.

AoD flew up into the sky, wings flapping furiously creating gush of winds that pushed the water currents aside as he now hovered in the air and looked down upon his opponent, pity in his eyes. Pity at the lonely human that laid below him on the surface of the ground, the very ground he was once limited to but no longer. Drawing a long sword from his waist, AoD would rocket down towards Bane position and unleash a fury of blows with the long sword.

By the time AoD rocket downward, Bane would be gone and through the angel of death's own momentum he would break right through the solid ice and into sub-zero temperatures waters. The ice floors reforming and threatening to trap AoD underneath it for all eternity.

AoD wouldn't stay in the water for long. He flew back up, breaking a crack through the ground and carrying that piece of the ice ground in his hands as he raised up and then landed down before Bane bringing the piece of ice down on his head with enough force to shatter it against his skull on impact.

Bane raised up his arms and blocked the shot to his head, his enhanced strength and endurance taking the shot allowing him to remain on both feet before stretching out his arms around the angel of death tightly and proceeded to squeeze the life out of him.

AoD stabbed Bane's shoulder blades with his wings allowing him to slip from the bear hug before Bane could fully get it locked in and fly back up into the air, a set of arrows created by his energy materialized into his hands and he cast these arrows down upon his head, exploding on impact.

Bane moved back, allowing his body to heal over the stab wounds as the angel took off into the air, but as the arrows of energy came into his direction they would split from their intended target and shoot off into the walls of the tower which they were fighting near. Bane remained on the ground and held up his arms bracing the great winds that came threatening to blow AoD himself out of the sky and into the walls of the tower as his arrows before him.

AoD was grounded by the harsh winds but that wouldn't slow down his next attack any. Materializing a scythe in his hands and charging towards Bane aiming his scythe towards his lower body for a series of downward slashes.

Bane was already directly behind AoD upon his downward slashes, bringing both his massive arms together and raising them over his head before slamming them into the angel of death's back.

The Angel of Death fell down to his knees but turned around while still on the ground and rose back up to his feet swinging his scythe into an upper-cut formation with enough strength behind it to knock Bane into the air upon impact.

Bane grabbed the polearm of the scythe, using his strength and endurance to stop the attack dead in its track and brought up his foot, pushing it against the angel of death's chest and knocking him back while pulling the scythe out of his hands and holding onto it tightly in his own two hands as he came at AoD with his own scythe.

AoD waited for him to get close and when he did, held up the palm of his right hand and impaled him through the chest with a massive energy beam that would have completely obliterated his heart on impact. The scythe dematerialized and then rematerialized back into AoD's possession before he swung the blade to remove Bane's head from his body.

They said when faced with death you could see your entire life flash before your eyes and then you breathe your last. For Bane he would be robbed of both instances. The beam blast through his chest and he lacked the reaction time to do anything about it. His heart was destroyed and with no heart to pump the blood, and the Venom, both dripped from his body, and then the head fell. Bane was a mortal man but through sheer force of will he dared to defy what mortals feared the most and now because of that defiance he laid headless on the ground of the Crystal Expanse in front of AoD, dead.
And also behind him!
AoD would feel his own wings explode from behind his back, blood and energy oozing out of the shoulder blades where the wings were once attached, his strength quickly fading away as a sick realization of weakness would come up to his form. Mortality was forcing itself back into the body of the monster that was AoD. And with that mortality came death as Bane's arms wrapped around his head and snapped his neck. Bringing peace to the mind plunged into chaos due to the Paradox's own lust for power.
