They weren't going mad, her powers had no effect on them at all. She rolled out of the way of the in-coming pulses of energy shot from their rifles, taking cover behind a nearby tree as Wrex and Deadpool helped to provide some much needed cover fire now that her main advantage was ineffective.
"I don't understand... How could they not- Darkseid?"
But how could that be possible? Even the gods who washed away sins couldn't remove them completely. They only dismissed them. Unless...
"Oh no! Deadpool, Wrex, we have to get out of here!"

Deadpool shot another random NPC in the head and then turned around to look at Sincara. "I'm sorry, did you say something? I couldn't hear you over the sound of gunshots." |

Utena continued to watch from her hiding point as Deadpool, Wrex and Sincara began to do battle against the Isafaro forces. Sincara started to look like something was wrong and it worried the former Champion of Ohtori as so far Sincara has proven to easily be the calmest in the group. If something was starting to make her sweat then Utena had a very bad feeling. When she heard Sincara calling out to the others for an immediate retreat, Utena called out to her as quietly as she could while at the time being able to be heard, at the risk of being discovered, "Sincara, what's wrong?"

It was too late. Both Deadpool and Wrex would feel a splitting sensation explode at the back of their minds as their free will began to crumble. Their ability to make conscious decisions removed, and their minds succumbed to his power. The Isafaro soldiers stopped firing and moved towards the assassin and krogan's side, as they all could hear the words of the New God whispering int heir minds.
Kill them. Kill them both!
Utena and Sincara would soon find themselves surrounded.

Wrex dropped his weapon, the first thing a krogan is taught not to do in combat. He held onto his head and let out another loud krogan cry, this time one of pain and agony as he felt something crawling through his mind and before he knew it he blacked out, but his body wouldn't collapse to the ground. Instead it remained standing, eyes glowing a dimly lit yellow hue as he looked towards Sincara and charged at her. All of his size and power following behind him as he threatened to crush the child with his very body. |

Sincara jumped out of the way of the in-coming krogan just in time as the tree was broken in half and fell down against the ground behind her. Rolling once she hit the ground, Sincara got to one knee and fired off a barrage of magically charged bullets towards the onslaught of Isafaro soldiers and the recently turned Deadpool all while moving back to Utena's position.
"Darkseid has control of their minds somehow. We have to get out of here."
Lest Darkseid take control of their minds as well.

Deadpool could feel it too and all he could do in reaction was hold onto his head and released a loud scream of pain. He reached out to Sincara and then said weakly- "Tell the yellow subtitles... I love them!"Before falling to his knees and being taken over by the new god Darkseid. Returning to his feet, he held up his twin pistols and started open firing on Sincara and Utena after the tree fell against the ground upon Wrex's miss. But was then blast away by Sincara's magical barrage. |

Utena saw the guns aimed her way and quickly retook her cover behind the tree as bullets hit the opposite end. The sound of the guns forcing Utena to cover her ears as she still wasn't used to this much noise going off all at once. Sincara wouldn't have to tell her twice about retreating but the former Champion of Ohtori wasn't about to leave without her. As soon as she had an opportunity to peak without concern of bullets, Utena would peak around the tree to see where Sincara was, hoping that the child was still alive.

Sincara would feel herself being taken away by a type of energy field, biotics, and soon be unable to move as the Krogan Battlemaster put her in stasis and then came forward with his assault rifle, open firing at close range while now Sincara would be unable to defend herself against the bullets. |

The bullets would never hit their intended target. Instead a quick gush of wind would blow through them and Wrex's bullets would bounce off the cape of the one and only Superwoman. The Woman of Steel had been right to go after the gang because if she hadn't then there were no telling what shape Sincara would be in right now. Turning around to face the others, Superwoman unloaded a powerful blast of her Heat Ray Vision against Wrex before blowing the other Isafaro soldiers away with her Super Breath, looking back at Sincara and Utena soon after. "Are the two of you all right?"

Sincara couldn't move. Her trigger finger was unable to pull back on the trigger to produce any kind of defense or unleash any type of offense. She could barely move her lips but managed to say to Utena, "Run, you fool!"
Just when it looked to be the end of the road a red, blue blur would flash before Sincara's eyes and take the bullets in her stead. That person would be none other than Superwoman, the former dead heroine that Sincara and Utena found back at the cave. It was no illusion, it truly was the hero returned to life to do what it was that killed her in the first place. Still, the stasis wasn't going to fade away any time soon and the only message she could convey to Superwoman were through her own two eyes filled with urgency.

Tori wasn't far behind Superwoman as she made the save for Utena and Sincara. While Kara tended to Sincara, Tori would tend to Utena herself. Overcoming the awkwardness that arrived by looking at a person who were identical to you from head to toe excluding just a couple of details just long enough in order to talk to her.

"Godmodder!"Deadpool was back on the scene with both guns raised and aimed at Superwoman. Why? He didn't know. He knew the bullets wouldn't work but here he was, both guns aimed at Superwoman being told inside his head to kill Sincara and Utena. "Are you back for me or the ghost?"

"I-I'm fine!" Utena yelled loud enough for Superwoman to hear before backing away from Tori. It was still too much to take, someone who looked and sounded so much like you. Utena clamped her hands together on her head and felt like her own skull wanted to crawl out of her head. She wanted to scream, to tackle Tori to the ground and rip her face off but she could bring herself to do neither. Until Deadpool got up off the ground and returned to the other and that was when she just snapped. Before the former Champion of Ohtori knew what she was doing, she jumped Deadpool with the Rapier in her hand.

Superwoman came out of nowhere and the Krogan Battlemaster didn't have enough time to react before he was shot across the air by the woman's Heat Rays. Hitting the ground hard, Wrex would roll onto his stomach and then pull himself up to his feet. This time better prepared to deal with the new arrival, the Krogan Battlemaster charged Superwoman and began open firing from his assault rifle. |
