Utena led the others deeper into the forest, departing from mountain area entirely until they were surrounded by nothing but trees and plants for what looked like miles. The former Champion of Ohtori couldn't tell where Darkseid was heading exactly but it looked like he was walking around Moon Valley and heading for the exit where the nearest Isafaro base was located. But why head there? To destroy it? Well if that was his goal Utena wouldn't shed a tear if they arrived too late to stop the base from being destroyed.
"It's look like he's heading to the Isafaro base located outside of Moon Valley." explained Utena as she continued to lead the group. "Any idea why he'd head there?"

What does it matter? I'll still kill him. Wrex trek behind not too from Utena as he looked around the forest. A bug flew on the side of his face and he smacked it with the palm of his hand, wiping the bug off on his armor before bringing both hands back on his assault rifle and keeping an eye out for any signs of hostility. |

Suddenly the loud blast from Sincara's Six Shooter would go off, the birds of the forest startled and taking off into the air as the .357 bullet hit the face of an insect that flew on a nearby tree, a large hole now making that part of the tree as nothing remained of the insect except blood. Smoke blew from the barrel and she lowered it slowly as all eyes were on her and spoke at length.
"I don't like bugs."
Sincara walked ahead of the others, sliding the Six Shooter back into the hoist by her side before addressing Utena's question.
"Manipulate the soldiers at the base and use them against us. As powerful as he may be Darkseid is still working under the restraints of a walking corpse. He can't risk a prolonged encounter."

"Darkwho? I thought his name was Bruno."Deadpool scratched his head while looking at the hole left in the tree by the girl who didn't like bugs. Now THAT was how you did it. No squirming and standing up on a stool asking the man to do it. Not a bad shot either. "You know, you keep that up you wouldn't make a bad merc yourself some day. Just remember to say your prayers and eat your vitamins."

Before Wrex would be able to answer that, Utena would nearly jump out of her skin at the sudden shot that was fired, drawing her Rapier and preparing for a fight her eyes would be drawn to the one wielding the gun that fired the shot. It was just Sincara. Shooting at a tree. What it ever do to her? Oh she wasn't firing at the tree, she was firing at a bug.
"What?"
At least Sincara had an answer, it made Utena frown but at the very least it was an answer.
"Are they as bad as people say?"

Krogans don't plan. They get the job done. While other races were busy with their meetings and plotting in wars, Krogans were in the front lines destroying the enemy. Bringing one race down to the brink of extinction setting the Krogan above all others in war. Making them feared by the same ones that created them. Wrex would not be afraid of any challenger that stood in his way. |

Isafaro never distinguished between the people they killed. As far as General Vulture were concerned there were only two different kinds of people in the world. Those who were with them and those who were against them. If you were against them, then regardless of race, sex or religion, you were eliminated. Some times the most darkest of individuals were the less biased.
"Let's keep moving. We'll deal with obstacles as they come. Isafaro troops or no."

"I miss my yellow subtitles."Said Deadpool as the other characters conversed with each other to advance the thread. As they conversed and wait for Utena to continue leading them to the Isafaro base, Deadpool wondered if anyone else realized they were just fictional characters being played by a bunch of people throughout the world in their pass time. He also wondered if given the nature of the main plot if people were going to start making fourth wall plot twists to mess with people heads. If anyone does it it'd probably be that psychopath Guill or that chick ToriJ. Wait, or was he a guy? And whatever happened to Shai? "Have you guys ever gotten that feeling where you think what you're doing is important but it actually feels like you're just a filler until the person who can actually do something does?"

Utena shuddered at the thought of Isafaro being worse than the stories she heard about them. That fear was replaced by more confusion however when Deadpool started talking about things she couldn't possibly understand. And thank God for it. The former Champion of Ohtori didn't know what he was talking about and didn't want to know. It was nonsense. Pure nonsense. It made everything she did prior to this look sane.
"Okay then..."
Utena led them to the Isafaro base, hiding behind the trees and bushes they were able to observed what the guards around the base were doing without being seen.
"I don't see Darkseid anywhere, do you?" asked Utena in a whisper.

Wrex didn't respond to Deadpool and instead followed Utena to the Isafaro base when she started moving again. Once there the Krogan Battlelord looked out to the base but nobody on the outside looked anything even remotely like Bruno, which didn't surprise him. They were all in crimson colored uniforms with helmets and a black vulture insignia on their shoulder. If they wanted to find Bruno chances are they had to storm the base and Wrex would be more than happy to see what these Isafaro soldiers are made of. Urdnot Wrex

Sincara looked out to the soldiers near the base. Her eyes seeing through flesh and bone, looking into the depths of their very souls and seeing the unwashed sin that dwell within them. Many of the Seven Deadly sins were in each individual person but one always stood out the most in the other. And that was the one Sincara always exploited. She brought their greatest sins to the surface and watched as the panic quickly took over them. With inevitable chaos in their wake, the child jumped out from behind the trees and raised up her Six Shooter, open firing on the soldiers now consumed by sin.

As he figured, Deadpool was the only one who knew anything. Curse his amazing detective skills and superior good looks that has to be covered by a mask lest all the women in the world smuggle him. All right, all right, that's not the reason he has to wear a mask but dammit if Ryan Reynolds weren't pretty. Seeing Sincara jump out of the woods and start shooting things the Merc with the Mouth was starting to finally feel at home with this new group as he raised up his guns. "Now this is what I'm talking about!"Jumping out of the woods right behind Sincara and blasting off his weapons towards the Isafaro NPCs. Poor guys, didn't stand a chance. |

Utena was in no hurry to join the fray with the others even after Sincara did something to mess up the guards. All she had was a close-range weapon that could be rendered useless with anyone who was a half-decent shot, or friendly fire from the mad masked man who just kept tearing holes into everything. She would remain in hiding and watch, waiting for the guards and whatever else the base would throw at them to thin down before following the others inside. Let those with long-range weapons handle it.

Sin, it was a consequence of free will. Because free will exist, sin came to be. Taking the desire of man and turning it into something ugly. It lived off of free will and thrived from the choices of man, man's desires. Something Sincara has learned since allowing the Seven Deadly Sins to flow through her, making her a carrier for the most devastating of man's follies, something one could not escape. Unless the choice was taken away, and Sincara was about to see just that.
The Isafaro soldiers stood unmoved by the sin manipulation lacking the conscience, the will. Their existence as sentient beings were over and instead they lived only for their new master, Darkseid, his will being their own. The free will of man has been broken, Darkseid has succeeded in taking it away. Making him more dangerous than ever before.

Wrex would be the third to join the battle, firing through the large quantity of Isafaro soldiers that began to surround them, showing no fear. He let out a mighty Krogan roar and slammed into the mass of soldiers, running them down and clearing a path to the base as he cried out towards his intended target. Urdnot Wrex
