It shot throughout her body and told her to run but she chose to ignore those warnings and stay. She was either very brave or very foolish. "I wish not destruction upon this world, Utena."He took another step forward and continued to observe her reactions to his moving closer. Would she step back, move to the side, raise up her blade? Sincara and Wrex were on the other side of the cave-in while Superwoman was consumed by Lust and attempting to have her way with the spirit of Tori Jacobs. No one was coming to save her if this turned into a fight. No one. "But if you and your kind wish destruction I will happily oblige you. This is your last chance to step aside before my Omega Beams destroy you."

It makes no difference to me what they were doing here. Wrex never bothered with that sort of detail while taking a job. The only thing he needed to know was what all krogans expected to know. The mission objective and how great the chance for battle was. The greater the change the more likely the krogan. Anything else that weren't relevant to those two things weren't worth mentioning. Sincara went to work and despite being pressed for time she didn't attempt to rush herself. You couldn't do that when working on something this advanced and high-tech. They already had it set to cross the threshold of various dimensions in a desperate attempt to get Darkseid back to this world so he could rule over the people here. As unlikely as Intergang's goal was she would have to find something in here and set it up to destroy the transporter so it couldn't be use to bring back Darkseid before going through it herself.
"Here we go."
The transporter powered on and the empty space in the middle of it was soon filled with what looked to be the outside of the cave.
"After you."

"We never wanted destruction!" shouted Utena.
The fear in her eyes were quickly replaced by outrage, outrage towards the new god and all he's done to tear lives apart since coming here. Because of him June lost another friend and while both were back one was completely out of their mind and the other a ghost with no body of her own. How was that any better than before? If it wasn't for him Tori would still be alive and Kara would either be in peace or not being the cause of cave-ins.

Utena stood her ground, commendable but soon she would regret this decision. The ground underneath her exploded hurling her backwards as the new god continued to tower over her in height, glowing red eyes bleeding through the darkness of the cave as he closed in on her position inch by inch. "Your friends are already on the way out. This cave will soon be a cemetery of the most unfortunate. I highly recommend you take your leave now unless you want to break June's heart by having her find your dead corpse in her bed." |

Wrex examined the device carefully and then looked back to Sincara suspiciously. He was no fool, he knew all about the situation with the worlds and how this could potentially lead him to a place unlike this one and therefore taking him further away from his new target. Bruno. Urdnot Wrex

Great. The alien didn't trust her. While she couldn't blame his cautious state she definitely didn't have time to argue with him about it.
"I have to stay behind and rig this thing to explode. You go first."
Sincara looked around the lab, they have to of brought some kind of explosives here just in case and she was correct in her assumption as up ahead she saw some boxes labeled C4 and boxes of other weapons and equipment. That outta do it.
"You and I are after the same thing so just get through the portal so we can go after him. There's still time to head him off at the path."

When Tori found herself inside the Woman of Steel she came to an abrupt stop and Superwoman flew right on through her and appeared as nothing more than a small dot in the distance at the speed she was going and Tori knew it was only a matter of time before she realized she wasn't at her side anymore. Emerald green eyes saw Deadpool below and her mind began to brainstorm for ideas as she flew down to the Merc with a Mouth and spoke, “Hey! I need your help.”
Tori knew that Deadpool was working with Intergang and that he was in fact a murderer, and while the fact she needed his help sickened her that was the position she had found herself. If Superwoman wasn't stopped now then it meant bad news for both sides and Tori knew only one thing that could potentially outweigh her lust. Her desire for justice.
“When Superwoman comes back I need you to brag about all the crimes you've committed.” |

Deadpool turned to face Tori when she called to him and he waved towards her. "Hi, sexy ghost lady. What can I do you for?"Awe, she didn't want him to kill anybody, but in not so many words she did want him to brag about all the people he killed. The Merc with a Mouth rubbed his masked chin for a moment and then answered. "Now why would I want to do that when I'm perfectly content watching you and her play cat and mouse with each other?" |

For the second time in the day Utena's back would collide with the cave wall but she refused to cry out in pain. She refused to give Darkseid the satisfaction. While on the ground the former Champion of Ohtori had no choice but to listen to the new god's words in the dark, damp cave. This time though, as she slowly rose to her feet, Utena took heed Darkseid's warning and began to run away from him. She ran up to the upper levels of the cave and began to cry out as she headed for the entrance, "Get out! Get out! This place is coming down! Get Out!"

"Good girl."The room Sincara and Wrex were in began to shake, rocks fell from the ceiling and threatened to crush them as they were faced with another cave-in this time big enough to bury them in the bottom level of the cave for all eternity. Darkseid began a slow trek towards the exit of the cave, despite the chaos happening all around him, clothed in the human skin of Intergang's leader Bruno Mannheim, his loyal servant who was now his vessel. And so the new god walked, a trail of destruction literally following behind him as those who remained in the cave lost to the Seven Deadly Sins, were doomed to die, Doomed to have this place be their grave.

And possibly be trapped in another world with no way out? I don't think so. Wrex and Sincara's argument however would be put on hold as the entire room began to shake around them. Seeing a large rock falling towards them, Wrex was quick to push the girl out of the way so neither one of them would get hit. Thankfully the transporter hasn't been hit yet so they still had a chance to get out of here. Looked like they would have to risk it after all. Urdnot Wrex

The cave started to tremble when she finished. Her eyes looked up to find rock falling towards her head but it would not touch her, Wrex got her out of the way and then finally conceded that going through the transporter was the best option available to them. Sincara didn't even have to set up any explosives as the cave itself would ensure that this device will never be used to bring back Darkseid. Sincara quickly ran into the transporter and came out on the other side just as the room they were in became blocked with nothing but stone and rock.

"Tori?" Superwoman felt cold, lacking the warmth that could only be created by having Tori's spirit inside of her. Realizing that she had evaded her, the Woman of Steel quickly turned around and saw Tori talking to Deadpool. Jealousy filled Kara's heart and she rocketed towards their position, landing down on the ground with a crash before rushing Deadpool and unleashing a combination of punches towards him while screaming, "Get away from Tori! Do you hear me? She's mine! MINE!"

Tori shuddered. That was just too weird.
“Tori. My name is Tori.”
"Now why would I want to do that when I'm perfectly content watching you and her play cat and mouse with each other?"
“Because if you don't help me she'll end up on a rampage that threatens all of us. I don't think you're fully comprehending the whole superhuman strength, speed and invulnerability thing.”
"Get away from Tori!"
“Oh no.”
"Do you hear me? She's mine! MINE!"
Tori quickly flew out of the way of the battle and looked down towards Kara with deep concern in her emerald green eyes.
“Kara, please! You have to snap out of it! The woman I know would never try to force herself on anyone, especially those she cares about.” |
