Solomon carried Jehanne to the hospital ward where their healers could tend to her wounds. Paladins were already dispatched to the holy temple to take care of the enemies if they were still inside and Solomon planned to go back there to check up on Miracle as soon as he was finished here. He gently laid Jehanne down on one of the beds where the healers would help her out of her armor, bringing her down to her chainmail before they began praying to Lord Yahweh to heal her wounds. Solomon stayed by her side with his arms folded and looked towards the knight in training. "You've done well, Jehanne. Rest easy and have faith the High Priestess will be just fine on her own for now."

"I'll rest easy when I'm dead."
Came the young knight's retort as she was laid down against the bed to be healed. She could never rest easy where the High Priestess was concerned. It felt like for every waking second she wasn't by her side she was failing her somehow. Jehanne wouldn't be able to explain it in words if asked but she just felt like she was failing Miracle when she weren't around. The sooner she got out of this bed the better. Jehanne was never one to lay in bed for long. She didn't even like to sleep.
"Until then I'd rather be on a battlefield than laid down on a bed."

"Until then I'd rather be on a battlefield than laid down on a bed."
"That's unfortunate."
Solomon and Jehanne would both find Miracle at the entrance of the row of hospital beds as she offered a kind smile to the two as she approached. Looking down to Jehanne who was fed up with being restricted to a bed.
"How are you feeling?"

"Miracle!" Solomon turned around and hugged the child as she approached the two before letting go and standing by her side as she addressed Jehanne. "Jehanne is going to be just fine but what of you? Did you eliminate the attackers?"

Jehanne slowly turned her head and smiled weakly at Miracle as she entered the room. Regretful that a weak smile was all she could offer the High Priestess in her weakened state. Although Solomon had already answered the question for her Jehanne knew that the child would want to hear it from her own words as well.
"I'll be fine, my lady. I should be back in your company within a day's time."
The knight in training went back to listening when the General asked what became of the attackers. She hope they were dealt with, at the very least in custody but the knight in training was used to disappointment. Tragedy. It is what plagued them for the past year after all.

Miracle hugged Solomon back, happy to see him so happy upon her arrival and wishing that was the case every time they greeted one another.
"I'll be fine, my lady. I should be back in your company within a day's time."
"I'm glad to hear that but by no means feel the need to rush things. If you need more time just say so."
"Jehanne is going to be just fine but what of you? Did you eliminate the attackers?"
"No. She got away. But I'm fine and Aircano and the temple is safe."

"She got away?" Solomon wasn't happy, you could tell that much by the disgruntled sound in his voice as he spoke. That girl in the hat nearly succeeded in taking Miracle's life before and she had tried to do it again in Aircano. Now she was on the loose and there was no telling where or when she would show up again. "I recommend we send a team to track her down. What about the other one?"

"I need not more than a day to fully recover, my lady."
Though it was stubbornness that made her say these words when she put her mind to the task she could make it happen regardless.
"I will not leave your side until this girl is found and in custody."
And that was a promise.

"She got away?"
"Yes, Solomon, she got away."
"I recommend we send a team to track her down. What about the other one?"
"The man we presumed to be a monster was mislead by the girl and only trying to help. I see no reason to pursue him or the girl. Not when Aircano has just risen from the ashes and we need every available hand to bring it back to the glory it once had."
"I will not leave your side until this girl is found and in custody."
"Thank you, Lady Jehanne."

"Presume? That man was no ordinary human, Miracle, that I can assure you. Allowing him and the girl to go unattended puts this whole city in jeopardy." Solomon had already passed his judgment on Sincara and Sebastion both. If he saw either again he would ensure that it'd be by his blade they would be struck down for their sins against God and his house of prayer. "We have enough people to look after the city and go after these two."

Unlike Solomon Jehanne made no attempt to sway Miracle's decision either one way. She'd follow any orders the child gave because that was the type of vow she took plus Jehanne was never as extreme as the others in punishing non-humans. Her loyalties were to Miracle not Yahweh.
"Do not thank me, my lady. I am merely doing my duty as a knight in your court."

"Presume? That man was no ordinary human, Miracle, that I can assure you."
"Neither am I."
Her days as an ordinary human was over with. She was a warrior of Yahweh whose holy powers were currently unmatched by the people in Jherra, she could summon the Arashi itself through the power of prayer and bring the death itself back to life. Those these things were the Lord's power working through her, she knew it made her more than human.
"Simply because he is not does not make him an abomination."
"Do not thank me, my lady. I am merely doing my duty as a knight in your court."
"And I thank you for it regardless."

"Miracle, have you forgotten what happened last time we allowed these beasts the freedom to live?" The last thing he wanted to do was reopen old wounds, it still pained him as well to think about it but this was something that couldn't be swept underneath the rug. There was no comparison between that man and Miracle and if they were biased again then surely all of Aircano would pay for it. "I implore you not to make the same mistakes of the past."

"You are too kind."
Jehanne slowly sat up on the bed holding an arm around her stomach as she turned and allowed her feet to hang a few inches above the floor. Listening to the back and forth between Miracle and Solomon only shaking her head. She could already see where this was heading.
"Sir Solomon, forgive me. But you should know better than anyone when the High Priestess' mind is made up there's no changing it."

"I assure you. I haven't."
"I implore you not to make the same mistakes of the past."
"And I won't. But those mistakes were slaughtering innocents like the refugees in Hallowton. That is a mistake I won't make again."
"Sir Solomon, forgive me. But you should know better than anyone when the High Priestess' mind is made up there's no changing it."
"Yes, Solomon. I can be quite stubborn when I need to be."
