The so-called "Librarian" started talking, and summoned a book; quickly followed by two others. All the while, he continued to mutter; and Edward felt even more clueless than before. What was this guy going on about? People who were dead belonged to the world of the dead. Even if they hadn't wanted to die; even if they desperately wanted to come back to life...? So what? That gave them no right to return. Along with that, if some people could bring back the dead; they had no right to do so. It was just... Wrong... To even consider reviving the lost. They'd never be the same again in the living world; they'd be lost and confused, very out of place. It was best for creature, human or other, to just not meddle with the affair of Life and Death... But the Librarian seemed to think it was OK to bring back the dead, and was pretty set on saying that it was possible... The blond youth of course, wasn't interested anymore. Every personal moral of his was screaming at him to stop trying to figure out what the guy was saying. It made no sense anyway. And what the hell was "necromancy"...? "Not to sound rude or anything..." The youth said softly, "But I have no idea what you're talking about; nor am I that interested in trying to understand. It sounds like something that goes far beyond the capabilities of a mere human to understand." He shrugged.
A moment later, the golden eyes grew wide with a mixture of horror and fascination. There was... A fire version of him dancing around...? What the hell was this...? It was waving at him, grinning broadly. Edward just wasn't sure what to think of this... Even the Colonel could make weird fire like that... Then he noticed the small white creature had approached and curled up at his feet; obviously terrified of the fire thing. He knelt down, sliding his hands under the creature and then stood up; holding it gently in his arms. The golden eyes showed no fear of his fiery self, and his gaze was steady as it fixed on the Librarian. "I appreciate your trying to lighten the mood here, but I don't think this one finds it amusing." He said.
