A Night On The Docks [Ariel]

[Ariel]

Ariel gasped at the shot to her stomach and lost her grip on Kira. Though she wanted nothing more than to let him get away she could feel the power of the Sea Witch grow heavy on her soul. She dictated what the mermaid did next and that was chase after the man. Quickly closing the gap created between them in her swim as she reached out to grab his legs and keep him from rising to the surface.

Kira was close to the docks as she finally started to pursue him. Part of him wanted to ignore her and continue heading towards the docks, but he realized he wouldn't make it before she got to him. Even with her not wanting to do it he had expected she would have to try, but he was already ready for it. He couldn't die here. And he had no plans on doing so. As she moved towards him she could find him not heading away from her, but towards her, but at the last second he moved to avoid her pushing his feet off her back and pushing her down propelling his own momentum forward.

With that last bit of strength he would reach the docks and quickly pulled himself up and over coughing a little as he tried to catch his breath quick to move away from the edge of it. He was still struggling to catch her breathe, but despite what she might think. Even now he didn't regret trying to help her. He wasn't going to hold it against her siince she really had no say in the matter. He knew that now, but that just meant he had to find a way to free her.

[Ariel]

Ariel went down through the water as Kira kicked himself off of her back and made it back to the docks. Suspecting that he would have moved away from the ledge by now Ariel prepared for a last ditch effort to claim his life, fueled by desperation as the Sea Witch's hold on her soul was growing heavier. Giving herself plenty of room Ariel picked up speed and then lunged out of the water, landing on Kira. While on top of him she placed a hand in her seashell bra and brandished the familiar silver knife that she used on Ayen and brought it down towards Kira's skull.

Kira had finally caught his breath and was about to move away, but before he could Ariel remerged willingly putting herself in harms way out of the water. The second thing about their surroundings was that he now had the advantage. The advantage of not being slowed down by the water any. He didn’t intend to die here. He still had things left to do. He didn’t want to hurt her, but he wasn’t going to let himself just die here. And that’s when something within him activated.



His SEED Mode tiggered.

He quickly reached up and grabbed both her hands stopping their descent as he twisted the one with the knife so that it was sent further into the docks. He used his own legs to lightly flip her to pin her to the docks. But she wouldn’t find retribution from him. Instead she would find words. ”That’s enough already. Stop fighting.” he told her. Even she had to see that this fight was a losing battle. She had nothing left. No moves left, the only sole thing driving her was the Sea Witch. He didn’t want to hurt her, but at the same time he would need to figure out a way that she wouldn’t have to kill anymore.

[Ariel]

Before Ariel could figure out what was going on with Kira she felt him twisting the wrist of the arm that held the knife towards him. "You're hurting me." Ariel would then be held against the docks by the arms with Kira on top of her. "That's enough already. Stop fighting." "I want to but I can't. She'll kill me." Kira would have to injure her to the point of forcing her to retreat back into the water, the only question was would he able to do that? Ariel wouldn't be able to die because her soul belonged to the Sea Witch and she would simply be brought back. If only she could tell him that but the Sea Witch was near and she had to be careful of what she said or the Sea Witch would make sure Ariel became the thing of memories.

Of course he was hurting her. It was one of the only ways to get the weapon away from her without doing any more damage then that. His eyes narrowed at her second set of words. They didn't show angry, but rather hesitation. He really didn't want to hurt her anymore. His mind was racing. More then usual as he thought. A few seconds passed in reality, but to Kira's racing mind it was more like moments passed. Moments that he needed. She hadn't started acting like this until that incident with the sea.

That must have been the sea witch. His eyes scanned the water quickly finding what he needed. Hoping his hunch was right. Even at night with his senses this heightened he saw what he needed to see. He was quick to roll off Ariel grabbing the knife so she couldn't use it again. Not that he himself had many weapons, but he might have to use on of the ones he did have. He kept his eye on both Ariel and the thing under the water. Hopefully the sea witch would realize Ariel had missed her chance. He didn't want this to go any further, but if it did he was ready for it.

[Ariel]

Ariel began to flop after Kira got off of her, with no weapon in her hand anymore there was little to nothing she could do. She flopped, and flopped some more until finally making it to the edge of the docks and dropping down into the water. If she could have said it, she would have thanked Kira for this but that would have just made things worse. Ariel would be reprimanded for another failure but for now, she would have avoided death yet again as she vanished into the sea below.
