If Sincara's theory is correct I demand a flashback sequence.

Besides which, however much it might be downplayed, no one can simply shrug the Nightmare off upon first contact however well-prepared they may think they are. Look at Amoura - she's a first-generation infectee, haunted by Veran himself, and the Nightmare's driven her to the utmost brink of insanity more than once. Who said it was shrugged off upon first contact? Fukari has been missing in action since July 20th, 2011 and since this site works on real time that is a seven month absence between her choosing to stay in Utopia and the start of Woe. And Utopia is home to people from multiple realities. It isn't much of a stretch at all to imagine that at some point during that gap Fukari found someone infected, had them exposed her to the Nightmare and trained to control it before even stepping foot in Jherrazad. While that does make sense what about what DC pointed out earlier with Fukari being immune also to the Kasul's effects when she touched it?

I thought it was a continuity error at first until Chloe mentioned it in her post. She barely touched it though so I doubt it would have done more than minor damage to her.

Which then begs the question; how could Fukari have become infected without coming into contact with another infectee who then willingly passed it on? The same way she always has claymores in the ground before a battle. I was wondering when someone would ever point that out XD

The fact Jherrazad is Fukari's home might help.

To be fair - this was an assassination long in the making as well. Fukari had planned on killing Ranko, who died months ago at the hands of Chloe now.
I just think it's a fun Deus Ex Machina the character sort of revolves around XD

So this whole thing is because Fukari's pissed at having been beaten to the kill? We all know she has no other legitimate reason for wanting Chloe dead.

Sure... Now you all question Fukari's pre-battle preparation... To be fair - this was an assassination long in the making as well. We all know she has no other legitimate reason for wanting Chloe dead. Haven't you been reading? Fukari already explained this, it's the price of succession.

Succession of actions and decisions Chloe had nothing to do with whatsoever? Fukari's a real picture of fair judgement; seems to me she's just picking out a scapegoat because she can't have her original target.

Chloe has willingly taken innocent life with the Kasul simply because they wouldn't bow to her and is currently infecting civilians with the Nightmare when they posed no threat to her to prove a point. She isn't exactly Mother Teresa.

When you ascend a throne and take over a kingdom you inherit all the problems of that kingdom which would include answering for the blood of the innocent being spilt in the previous rule. Not saying Fukari is right in her actions, it's the same backward thinking that forced a son to carry around his father's shame but it's how Jherrazad works. Not to mention wielding a weapon that sucks out your soul and plaguing innocent people with the Nightmare ain't earning Chloe any lightside points.
