The Taming of a Hound-Kat

the female flinched slightly when he scolded her for sitting on the floor. quickly she went to the chair by his desk and settled in it keeping both feet on the ground. the silk moved against her skin as she shifted a bit to face him. the shirt was a bit big on her but she couldn't really complain it was better than the burned and torn clothes she had before. the female listened to him as he spoke of her representing him. well now that much more sense. she wouldn't do such stupid things now and since she was in his services people would look for signs of weakness in her to get to him. "sorry master. I'll keep that in mind when I act from now on." the female spoke softly keeping her eyes on nicodemus. to be completely honest she was feeling overwhelmed. there was so much to take in and she didn't exactly know what to do or how to act. she didn't want to upset her master, but she didn't know what to do.

fingers running over her tails, the female mumbled a few soft words. her form shimmered before her tails and ears disappeared completely. brushing a hand through her hair she looked up at her master. so these clothes were enchanted huh? interesting. perhaps they would survive if she shifted into her hound form. "how would these fair if I switched to my hound form? I don't want to go through all of your clothes if they aren't meant for that." the hound muttered shifting in her chair slightly. his eyes on her made her fidget slightly but she tried to remain still the best she could. so he didn't know what to do with her yet? that was good. she didn't exactly know what to do with herself at the moment. special tasks didn't seem hard enough and she was very good at moving with out being seen. she had a tendency to cause a lot of problems down under.

fingers going back up to her neck, she let them play with the ruby tear drop as she thought. what else did she want to know? well there was a lot that she didn't know. many things that she didn't quite understand. "if I may ask master, could you teach me? there is so much I need to learn. so much I want to learn. that is if it's not too much of a burden for you." leaning forward in her chair, the female sat up a little straighter and folded her hands in her lap. her eyes settled on him and they were alight with wonder. he spoke of knowledge being a weapon, well she wanted to possess that weapon. she wanted to know all that she could know. all that she was allowed to know so that she did not upset of master or displease him. she wanted to show him that she was more than just a hound to do his bidding, not that she minded. but above all she wanted to prove herself useful to him and be needed in his eyes.

He frowns in thought. "Well, in theory they would be reduced to shreds, but the magic would repair them. So I suppose whenever you changed back, your clothes would be waiting for you to put them back on." he says after a few moments in thought. It was never something he'd had tested of course, for there had never been any need. Thinking about it though, he was fairly certain he could enchant them to grow and meld into her new form, or shrink and reemerge when she changed back. Studies for a later day he supposed. A small spell and gesture conjured up a pot of tea and some cups for them, if she wished to have any, and he poured himself a cup, running the fingers of one hand through his hair, the other holding his tea before he took a sip. It was a mint tea he was fond of, and he always found it relaxing for some reason. "Would you care for some tea? It's a mint tea that I find relaxing." he says, offering her a cup to pour herself some.

He sighs lightly as she asks him to teach her. "What is it you wish to learn? Most of my knowledge will mean little to you, as it is either arcane in nature or pertaining to the world I am from. Unfortunately, I know rather little of this world as of yet. It is why I've got minions out gathering information for me. There remains much I know however, so in order to begin teaching you, you must first find something that interests you. If I am knowledgeable in the subject, I shall gladly instruct you." he says, shrugging lightly as he takes another sip of his tea. "The best way to learn is to ask questions though, so that is where you will have to start. But first, you must understand when to ask a question, as well as how. As far as I'm concerned, when it is you and I alone, you may speak as you wish and ask what you will. When others are around us, you must act professionally however. It would not do for someone to think to harm one of us by striking at the other." he says.

He pauses for a few moments to gather his thoughts before continuing. "When trying to learn from an enemy, more care must be taken. You must be careful not to alert them that you are an enemy for one, and to not raise suspicion or alarms with your questions. You must find a way to make it seem a natural question, rather than a targeted one." he explains, frowning lightly. Hooboy, he was going to have one hell of a time training her, but he was actually looking forward to it. It gave him someone to talk to after all. "But that is all irrelevant for now, as it shall just be you and I for awhile. Ultimately it's something you must learn on your own I find, rather than having taught to you." he says with another shrug, taking a sip of his tea while he watched her.

reaching forward, the female poured herself a cup of tea. taking a small sip, she relaxed a bit more and a light smile played at her lips. "thank you master this is quite delicious. " the female sat back in her chair holding the cup in both her hands. how long has it been since she had tea? especially mint tea. this stuff was very good. when he spoke of the clothes repairing themselves she felt better. at least she didn't have to worry about tearing through all his shirts. "I doubt I'll be using my other form very often, but I wanted to be sure I wasn't going to ruin your nice clothes." the female admitted taking another sip of her tea. she was glad he was fond of tea and not coffee. that nasty black sludge tasted like crap and how anyone could drink it was beyond her. the mint was refreshing and a hand moved to run over her tails but stopped when she remembered they weren't there.

he wanted her to be comfortable but she preferred to keep her form normal looking. as he spoke she remained silent and listened to him. what did she want to learn? she wanted to be useful but what that entailed she didn't really know. the female kept her mouth closed and listened for a bit more as he spoke. so it was only going to be the two of them down here for a while? a light blush traveled over her face as her mind wandered in directions. there's a lot one can do underground, but she remained slightly until he completely finished speaking. "well at the risk of being scolded or sounding stupid, I want to learn everything. I want to know what I can do to be useful and not make my master regret his decision to take me as his servant. I want to be strong." the female trailed off taking another sip of her tea. he would probably scold her for saying such things but she only spoke the truth. there was so much she didn't know and so much she wanted to learn.

finishing off her tea, she placed the cup down on the table. sitting up straight in her chair again, the female turned her attention to her master. "even if what you know may not help me in any way I just want to learn what I can. I don't have questions to ask because I don't know what to ask about. I feel like there is so much I am missing." she averted her gaze down to the floor for a second before meeting his eyes. she didn't want to be scolded for speaking the truth but at the same time she wished she hadn't said anything. she really felt like there was so much missing like pieces to a puzzle. she wanted to find those pieces, whatever those pieces may be. one of her hands went again to play with her tails to calm her but stopped and she folded them both in her lap as she sat on the edge of her chair looking at her master.
