The rift tore open the air, threatening the very fabric of time and space itself by creating it's threshold and Gabrielle was the one left to be pulled towards it like a great whirpool had opened up in the sea. All Gabrielle could do was hold on for dear life as the temperature dropped dramatically, the bottom of the ship now sliding across a crystallized ice surface as clear as day. The ship would be forced to an abrupt stop as it's front came into contact with a glass wall, cracks breaking through the wall after being smashed by the vessel meanwhile, Gabrielle was just now pulling herself up to a stand, arms wrapped around her body as the cold winds wasted no time to blow straight through her, making her regret her trademark choice of attire. It wouldn't be the first time she found herself graced with a below-freezing environment but at least this time she was somewhat prepared.
Grabbing the Samurai robes from the ship, she provided herself with just enough extra warmth to get by so she wouldn't freeze to death. With all of her weapons now equipped Gabrielle left the ship and gradually allowed her feet to make contract with the crystal ice, being careful to steadily move across it out of fear that one wrong move would cause the ice to break and send her hurling down beneath it's surface. "Easy, Gabrielle... if it can support a boat it can support you." Gabrielle's eyes looked up to the sky, so far everything around her looked the same except for the crystal walls so clear you could see right through them to the other side. The one defining aspect of her surroundings that would tip her off to this not being her world, as she shielded her eyes with her right arm, would be the sun. Instead of one sun shinning brightly in the sky there was two. It was in that moment she knew, this was not her world.
Her eyes finally came to the ground and the surprises would just keep coming. Underneath her feet was an entire civilization of people so advanced she couldn't describe what they were wearing, let alone all the equipment that surrounded them. They were all frozen, impounded in ice with no chance of escape. Wherever she was it served as not only an expanse but a graveyard of people. Pity swelled up the warrior as she turned around, eying everything that could be seen down below. What in the name of the gods happened here? What was this place?

Daniel's alter ego, Pride, liked control. Specifically control of the boy's body. When Danny least expected it, Pride would snatch his conscious mind and do horridly stupid things. Daniel Helling had been on Genesis for almost a few weeks, and already he had grown restless. Right now, it was Pride who drove the seemingly defenceless boy halfway across the world in a feeble attempt to find home. <Sorry to bug you, Pride, but I think we're going the wrong way.> Daniel's voice rung through the shared brain.
"You can shut your mouth kid." Pride replied shortly. Although it was freezing cold, Daniel and Pride were lucky enough to get possession of a parka, and a pair of warm pants. While the means which they seized the clothing was not exactly legal, they had no choice.
<We're not going to find a way home.> Daniel mumbled. <Our best chance was back at the place we started. And there was nothing there. What makes you think we'll have anymore luck here?> Pride rolled his eyes and continued to march along the frozen land.

“This is r-ridiculous!”
Zora was freezing. Everything from her knees to her teeth was shaking from the cold. Isafaro was hardly the warmest place she has ever been in but it was never this bad. The child hugged herself to keep warm, really missing her winter clothes back at home and knowing no spells to warm herself up with she was on her own. To make matters worse she was lost and had no idea where to go or even get back to the point she started.
She tripped, falling against the ice cold floor and looking down to see the frozen people that laid beneath it. Anyone occupying the surrounding area would be able to hear her screams as she got up quickly and started to run. The scenery of literally running above a whole city, frozen or not, would be something that would haunt her nightmares in the days to come. Without looking where she was going Zora bumped right into Gabrielle and ended up falling back down on the ice.
“Ow!”

Gabrielle heard a noise near her position and as such wrapped her hand around the handle of her Samurai sword but while her eyes went over to the source of the noise she heard another pair of footsteps running up from behind. Gabrielle turned around just in time to see the scared child bump into her and fall upon the ice they were both standing on, fear very much present in Zora's eyes as she had no doubt seen the horrors of the frozen civilization that stood beneath them. "Whoa, easy there." Gabrielle allowed her hand to gently run off the handle of her sword and stretch out towards the child to help her up while bending at the knees slightly.
"Don't be frightened, I'm not going to hurt you." Her hand touched Zora's and the Battling Bard of Potidaea from out of time helped the girl back up to her feet and dusted her off. Turning her head, Gabrielle looked off into the distance of where she heard the first noise one more time, wondering if it was another harmless child or someone who can actually be conceived as a threat. For now however Gabrielle turned her attention back to the frightened child. "Are you all right?"

<There's someone over there!> Daniel tried to scream. He used every inch of his strength to try and force his alter-ego back. <Please let me go! I just want to talk to them!> He wailed and suddenly he was able to put one foot in front of the other, and walk towards the two people. Suddenly, Daniel had full control over his body. "Thank god." Danny breathed, his voice weak from the effort it took.
<I don't know why I stick around> Pride grumbled from the back of Daniel's mind. <Don't let your guard down kid. Around those two... Or me.> Daniel shivered, but not from the cold. Pride's words always rang true. He often threatened to kill those Daniel had become close to. He said it was to save his host. But this time, Daniel was prepared to fight against anything Pride tried.
The little boy moved his feet in a brisk walk, until he fell onto his backside and slid down the icy hill. He laughed cutely, until he slammed into Gabrielle. He looked up innocently and chuckled, a light blush turning his cheeks pink... if they weren't already. "I'm sorry!" He said happily. "You should try that some time. It's fun~!"

Zora looked up to the woman now offering her, her hand. The Witch couldn't determine whether or not this woman was just another muggle or an actual witch herself but considering she has met very little witches or wizards here, Zora could safely assume it was just another muggle. Normally having one touch her would disgust Zora but she had to keep a low profile. You never knew when someone around here wanted to harm you like those Isafaro soldiers and this Witch wasn’t going to take any chances.
“Thank you. I’m fine.”
It always felt weird saying thank you to somebody. Zora was used to getting her way without having to either say ‘please’ or ‘thank you’ but now The Witch wasn’t getting her way. Ever since she went to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry things just got worse and worse for Zora until she was finally in a different world altogether. A world called Genesis. And just when Zora thought things couldn’t get any stranger she sees some kid sliding down the icy hill and bumping into Gabrielle like she had done just a couple of seconds ago. It seems the blond couldn’t catch a break with that but at least she didn’t laugh.
“You have to be kidding….”

First came the most obvious questions to ask: like what's an eleven year old girl doing alone in a place like this? Was she brought here in a similar manner as Gabrielle or did she actually belong in this world and had some answers about it's strange scenery? Well Gabrielle never got a chance to ask any of those questions because as soon as they came to mind she would feel another kid slam into her almost knocking the Battling Bard of Potidaea off her feet. Were the gods just having some fun at her expense now?
Gabrielle turned around to look at Daniel and then back at Zora who noted the absurdity of the situation. Maybe either one of the two would be able to provide her with some idea on where exactly here was. It wasn't everyday you were drawn into a rift and brought to a new world where an entire civilization stood beneath you in frozen crystal ice as clear as day. Neither child should have been exposed to such a disturbing sight. "I'm all right, don't worry about me. Where are your guys parents?"

Daniel plucked himself off of the ground and happily spun around, stretching his arms out to the side and making airplane noises. When Gabrielle asked the two young 'uns a question, Danny chuckled and bounced on the balls of his feet. "I can't speak for that one," he pointed to Zora, "but I don't have parents. They died a looong time ago~!" Daniel smiled and clapped his hands together in front of him. "Where are your parents young ladies?" Danny asked in reply, to both Zora and Gabrielle.
The young boy couldn't stop smiling. After arriving on Genesis he had met so many unusual, yet lovable people. He just hoped that Gabrielle and Zora were on his side. The last thing Danny wanted was to get in trouble, or in a fight. Unfortunately, those were the only two things Pride wanted to get into. While it did not show in his face, Daniel was fighting hard to repress his evil alter ego.

Zora couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at just how much joy was radiating off the other kid, especially considering he had just mentioned his parents dying. It actually made her miss the lousy Hufflepuff boys back at Hogwarts and to Zora that was really saying something as Hufflepuff had to be her least favorite house, second only to Gryffindor. The Witch ultimately decided to shift her attentions to Gabrielle. After all it never served her well to show her true colors when an adult was present.
“My parents aren’t here. I don’t know where they are.”

Gabrielle wasn't prepared for that question, it physically came out of nowhere and Gabrielle could still remember the day that her sister, Lila, told her that their parents were killed by Gurkham. Beheaded at his hand. It was as if it all happened just yesterday but she didn't weep, Gabrielle knew that her family was at peace now and still with her. Just like Xena. Her eyes drew from Daniel and back on Zora who seemed to be lost with no earthly idea where her parents were and Gabrielle heart went out for her. If people were being pulled towards this place in the same manner as her then hundreds, if not thousands, of people must have been lost. What was going on? Would the gods do something like this just to play with mortals? What would they hope to gain by such an action?
"We're going to find your parents." She had a hand on Zora's shoulder trying to console her. Gabrielle couldn't say what condition her parents would be in by the time she found them but she would give Zora the closure of being able to find them, Gabrielle could only hope that they would be found alive. Straightening up after bending over to place her hand on Zora it was time for some questions and hopefully the two would have answers. "But in order for me to do that I need the two of you to help, so if either one of you know anything about where we are now would be the time to tell me." With that there was but one more thing to ask. "What are your guys names?"

Daniel smiled widely. "An adventure!" He cried. "Golly, sounds fun! My name's Helling, Daniel Helling. Call me Danny." The mutant took Gabrielle and Zora's hands at the same time and shook them. <Dear God, Danny. I told you to stay away from these people. Now we'll be wandering around like a bunch of idiots. Ditch them and let's get moving. This is only side-tracking us.> Daniel simply shrugged off Pride's comment and clapped his hands together happily.
"We're on a funny little place called Genesis." Daniel explained. "I don't really know if it's a country or planet or what, but it's big~!" The boy spread his hands out wide to full express the gravity of the current conversation topic. "All I know is it certainly isn't London." He chuckled childishly and flopped back into the snow and began to make a snow angel.

Zora didn’t respond to the promise made by the stranger. She chose to remain silent since there wasn’t much information for her to give the woman. Zora had spent very limited time here and knew very little about the place she’s been and the place she was at. Fortunately for them both the other child started answering the question at large. At least he was good for something. So this place was called Genesis and Genesis meant beginning. Beginning of what? Wait a minute, did he mention London?
“What do you know about London?”

Gabrielle was taken off guard by the sudden handshake, being reminded of Joxer in the process. Daniel had begun to explain this strange new world to the two and the more one thought about it, the more Genesis sounded like a worldly name, like Gaia, as opposed to a name of a continent or a nation. But it still pegged the question of where exactly are they in Genesis right now? This expanse of crystal was unlike anything Gabrielle has ever laid her eyes on.
"I don't supposed you know where we're at right now?" Yes or no Gabrielle decided that it was best for them to start moving. Staying in this place couldn't be safe and it would be tough fighting off enemies while protecting two children at the same time so it was better to keep moving and not stay in one place for too long until they found something more safe. "How did you guys get here? If it's from another part of the world then we can backtrack."

Daniel smiled widely and nodded his head vigorously. "I suppose we could. I hitchhiked and walked here. It's quite a lovely trip, although I doubt it will help you two all too much." Danny explained shortly and pulled out a small map from his pocket. "This is the last town I was in." He pointed to a small dot on the edge of the map. "It doesn't chart this area, so I have no idea where we are. All I know is I was told not to go here." The mutant smiled and put the map away, then pointed to the hill where he came from. "We might be able to find that town I was at before, assuming you want to."
Daniel then decided it was a good time to answer Zora's question. "London's a big city. I was born in it when it was fuelled by coal. But now it's very modern. You should visit it some time. It's lovely for youngsters."

“I know what London is!” Zora spat back. “You’re just the first person I’ve met here who’ve mentioned it.”
Zora was beginning to think she was the only one around here that actually came from England. While she was born in Newcastle she had visited London many times, mainly the magical side of London as her family had very little to do with Muggles. When Gabrielle talked about backtracking where they came from Zora only shuddered at the idea of returning to Isafaro.
“Trust me, you don’t want to go back to the city I came out of. Horrible place and the people there attack you for no bloody good reason!”
