"I was raped, Kira. You don't just adjust to that." She could appreciate what he was trying to do, though his delivery could use work, it didn't make her feel any better than current. Maybe it was all because of the emotional heartache that refused to allow the Pop Idol any peace. Maybe it was because of the actual physical pain caused by the bullet and a couple of weeks back, the rape. Or maybe it was just one big combo of everything that has happened since coming here. But his words just wasn't as comforting as either one of them could have hoped for.
"If the point of living is to just keep on living for the sake of living then I want none of it!" Aminee's nose was starting to get stuffed up, with a handkerchief nowhere in sight Aminee would have to settle with blowing her nose into the nearby pillow. "Just go. It's obvious I'm in no condition to be of any help to you now. I can't even stand on my own two feet anymore. I'm just an injured horse that should be put down."

Kira hadn’t meant for it to come across that she should simply adjust to what had happened to her. He didn’t want her to have that impression, but he wasn’t about correct it at this point. It was something she would need to live with however. It was already done, something that no matter how much she wanted it couldn’t be undone. He would have to pick his words better. Or perhaps phrase them better. He couldn’t however do what she asked. Not while she was like this. Not in this state. He stood up and offered her a small package of tissues before turning back to the door. A reason to life. It was what she was missing now. For a brief second he wondered what her reason had been before all of this. That wasn’t important now. There was no going back to that simple life anymore. Even though her previous one might not be all that simple, now it was gone. A frown crossed his face as he pondered what to say next. It might be best to tell her he had no intention of leaving her like this, then again at this point it would become apparent that he had no intention of doing it. He did shake his head however. He would agree that living just to live was a rather pointless meaning, but then once someone had one it became different. ”And what will be left after you die?” he asked.

Aminee gladly accepted the tissues and blew her nose before slowly sitting up straight on the bed again to look at Kira. "Look, I appreciate what you're trying to do but I really want to be alone right now. Ok? Take my gun away if you're afraid I'll try it again." Taking another blow in the tissues, the Pop Idol looked over to where the gun had fallen and then reached into her pocket grabbing the knife that 201 gave her back at the prison. Not trusting herself she tossed the knife to Kira. "Be sure to hand that back to 201 when we return to Isafaro."

Kira looked at her studying her as she tossed the knife at him. His hands moved just a tad quicker than most would have as he caught it and put it in his pocket. He slowly walked over to the wall and picked up the gun before turning back to her. He did want one other thing before he left here. ”Promise me you won’t die.” he said. She may not want to talk about it, but he didn’t want to see anyone else die if he could help it. He had already seen enough of people he cared about die before.

Aminee stared up at Kira. He better still be talking in the context of the suicide attempt because otherwise that was a promise no one could keep. She looked away, barely able to make contact with anybody, especially Kira, in light of what happened here today. "Why do you care?" She couldn't understand why. Kira barely knew her. "I could be a psychopath for all you know."

Kira blinked at her words. If the matter hadn’t been so serious a smile might have appeared on his lips. A homicidal pop star would’ve really been an interesting site, but it was a serious question and as such deserved a response to match it. His mind flashed back to days in Heliopolis before the war came and it ended all those days. He had lost some of his friends. People he didn’t know to the war. He was tired of the endless deaths. What purpose did those serve? Who did it really help when one passed away? No one benefited from it. It only caused pain to those around them, but how to put that into words? How to tell her all that in a way she would understand and listen to. His resolve seemed to harden however as he answered her question. ”Because,” Kira said pausing. ”I’ve already seen too many good people die. And when they’re gone, theres no turning back. All that’s left behind in it is despair and pain, nothing good ever comes from it. Those same people who could’ve made the world a better place and yet, still they….” he trailed off as the ending to what he was going to say would hopefully by this point seem obvious ‘ended up dead.’ He turned his eyes away for a moment. ”I know it isn’t an easy thing to do after losing everything, but please. Promise me.” he said as he turned his gaze back towards her once again. Hopefully something about that statement would be enough to stick with her, but it wasn’t just a rehearsed statement. Ever word he said in it had that heartfelt meaning behind it. ______________________________________________________ A little light begins to shine,

The more Kira spoke the harder it became to look him in the eye. Instead, Aminee opt to look out the window, to the beautiful scenery that was to be her last look at this sad, crazy world but it was simply not meant to be. Something up above wanted to keep her alive for now and while she couldn't see the reason herself, her gut told her there was a reason. Looking down at the floor, the Pop Idol finally replied to Kira's statement. "I promise I won't try to take my own life again but I can't promise I won't die."

Kira looked back at her while she seemed to grow further and further away. Once he said those words he merely nodded. He could only hope she really did mean them. He walked over to the door glancing back one more time to look at her before leaving, he felt he should offer her a small thanks for that, but at the same time would it be appropriate? His eyes softened a bit as he said the next sentence ”Thanks.” he said before pulling the door opening to leave as he finally stepped outside to see the inn keeper waiting for him. Kira closed the door behind him as he offered him a brief gaze. ”She’ll be fine, this isn’t something that should worry you.” he said as the inn keeper slightly bowed before turning away. Kira let out a sigh as he finally walked across the hall into his room and leaned against the door. It seemed they would be here longer then they had said. Kira walked over to his desk and pulled out a small chip inserting it into his laptop, explaining what had happened, well not exactly. The chip said she had been cleaning her gun when it went off. He saved it as it was. If she really wanted to tell people what had happened here that would be her business, but as for him, he wasn’t going to say anything. ______________________________________________________ A little light begins to shine,
