Name: Anna Marie
Aliases: Rogue. That is what she will always go by.
Age: Thirty
Gender: Female
Species: Mutant
Alignment: Good
Canon or Original: Canon
Date of Birth: April 5, 1981
Place of Birth: Caldecott County, Mississippi
Physical Appearance:
Personality: Rogue is the very definition of feisty. If you piss her off, you'd know it and she's not afraid to use her powers to get her point across to someone who can handle it. If not, you'd get an earful from a headstrong, southern raised "gal". She's stubborn, but willing to listen to her leaders, take advice and learn to master control over her powers. She will always stand up for herself if someone dares to try to mock her for what she cannot do or for others. She's kind, caring and once you are her friend she'll stand by your side until the bitter end.
What always gets her down, at least most of the time, is the fact she cannot touch another human being due to her mutant powers. She often feels like she's making the ultimate sacrifice just to keep humanity safe; for how long can she endure it?
Special Abilities:
--The following abilities were taken from Ms. Marvel--
*Superior Strength
*Flight (also at supersonic speed)
*Very, very high pain tolerance
*Surviving the harsh environment of space
---
*Rogue's main ability is to be able to take someone's psyche, abilities, talents and so on from another being if she makes direct skin contact with them. The longer she has a hold of them, the longer she'll keep their powers along with their memories. The downside to this is it has been known to affect her in negative ways. For instance, if she touches someone filled with rage towards someone, she'll feel it and momentarily lose it. To make this power worse for her the more she absorbs, the more memories will combine with hers. Rogue is mentally sound, fortunately, but does have to be cautious on who she touches--it's a big risk every time.
Weapons:
Her body is enough of a weapon but she'll use anything within the area to fight against her opponent if necessary.
History:
* Rogue grew up in a hippie-type community in Mississippi. She learned French and English as was part of the lifestyle in the Bayou. She was rebellious which earned her the nickname "Rogue".
*Her mutant powers were awoken when she kissed Cody Robbins and put him in a permanent coma as a result. This scarred her and she considered her powers to be a curse. It made her bitter and Mystique--a mutant as well; shapeshifter--used that to her advantage.
*Rogue joins the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and gives up on the idea of ever being normal. She attacks Ms. Marvel but something goes wrong: she couldn't let go. As a result she fully absorbs her powers and her psyche. This drives Rogue into guilt since she destroyed Ms. Marvel's life for good.
*Rogue's powers took a turn for the worst. The memories of others began to blend with hers and she feared losing her own personality. The psyche of Ms. Marvel was trying to take over. In an act of desperation, she turned to the X-Men and to Charles Xavier to help her. The team was reluctant but Xavier takes her in. She joins the X-Men, never wanting to use her powers in the way she did with Ms. Marvel ever again.
*Gaining trust with the team was difficult. For months they treated her like a threat until one day Storm and Wolverine were poisoned. She helps Wolverine track down the culprit and in an act of sacrifice, she gets in the way of an attack meant for Mariko, Wolverine's fiancee. Wolverine transfers some of his powers to her to help her heal via a kiss and she heals. After this, the X-Men fully accept her as part of the team without discrimination. She develops and on-off relationship with Gambit.
*Tears in the universe begin to appear. The team blames it on other mutants but Xavier believed otherwise. Different creatures were filing in from other galaxies and they tried to save the planet many times. It ended in utter chaos. Mutants like Apocalypse used this to their advantage.
*Xavier, somehow, saw into the future and realized Earth will be destroyed. With nothing to do to stop it, they evacuate as many as possible through a gateway before the entire planet was annihilated. Rogue was thrown through the portal but something went wrong. Instead of being with the others she was in the middle of a moor, waking up from an unconscious state. This was a new world and she had a bad feeling about it...
