For some reason my wireless adapter has stopped working, so I am unable to use my computer for internet now. As a result, I'm taking a leave of absence while i try and get it fixed. Hopefully on the first I'll be back after getting a new adapter, but ideally sooner.

Alright, update for everyone. The adapter had gone out, but that wasn't my only problem apparently. I've got viruses in the rootkits of my system files which prevent me from accessing the internet. So until I can get rid of those, I won't be on except from my phone. So far its looking like no earlier than the fifteenth, because I might have to go buy a laptop.
I'm using an old dell with windows xp OS, so it seems I need to find old install or boot discs from ten to twelve years ago in storage somewhere if I want to be able to reformat and get it running again. If anyone has any suggestions for how to fix it, it'd be greatly appreciated. Do bear in mind I've no internet access beyond my phone, so don't tell me to go download something. Until such a time as I can return, consider my threads on hold. For the bigger threads I'm in, if any, just act as if I'm not there. If anyone needs to contact me, pm me as I'm checking daily.

Old Dell Computer, Windows XP Operating System, viruses... This is all sounding way too familiar.
My condolences. Having a six year old computer that's gotten its fair share of viruses in the past, I can relate to your situation.

Unfortunately, my computer is ten to twelve years old. Need discs for a reformat, abominable system. The fifteenth though I should be getting a laptop though. Updates to come as the situation develops.
Update: Old desktop has been safely packaged away and is awaiting our trip to the firing range. New laptop is up and running as I try and get the hang of it. So...I have returned.
