This was it. D-Day. The moment she’s been waiting for ever since the night Michael proposed and it was finally here. Today Sazan married the man of her dreams and began their new life together as man and wife. She could hardly contain her excitement as she kicked her feet back and forth in her chair, in her room at the temple. Miracle had been kind enough to allow them to have the wedding right here in the main holy temple of Crystal City despite Solomon and many of the elders here objecting. Sazan would have to think of a way of repaying her later. For now….
“I’m finally getting married!”
Sazan squealed, rocking back and forth in her chair as already she was wearing her white wedding gown, the only thing left to do was the veil that would cover her face until Michael was allowed to kiss the bride. They were both old fashioned so an “old-fashioned” wedding was perfect for them. The Hybrid kept an eye on the door, waiting for her Maid of Honor and other Bridesmaids to get here.
And they better be on time!

Amoura knew nothing of being feminine other than wearing dresses so someone had to do her makeup and hair to make her more presentable for this occasion. She had to avoid rubbing her eyes otherwise she'll ruin the mascara, the eyeliner, the eyeshadow and possibly her now well shaped eyebrows. Why did women take so much time to get ready? Why paint their face? And wearing lipstick was so troublesome since she had to keep applying...
Oh, who was she fooling? Amoura grumbled, let her posture slump and held the flowers in her left hand. And...and she couldn't mess with her now curled and clipped hair! Oh, right, she can't even touch the butterfly clips nor the fake flowers. Poor Amoura just wanted to scream; this was one of her worst nightmares! At least the makeup wasn't overdone.
Defeated, she left the room in a not so graceful manner and slammed the door behind her. These heels, by the gods, these heels! How could one possibly keep perfect balance in these torture devices?! Amoura halted in her advance towards the main room and leaned against the wall just as she was tipping over. Sazan probably saw that. The Maid of Honor tried to smile to show she was alright but it really showed her discomfort. Her walking was anything but elegant with an arm out to make sure she doesn't fall.
"Well, ready, I guess."
---
"I'm not ready. I don't think I am. Am I ready? Argus am I ready?"
Amoura's "fraternal twin" stared at Michael, slammed his hand onto the guy's shoulder and forced him to face the mirror, "You're marrying the girl of your dreams. Of course you are ready. She's probably every bit as nervous."
"Yeah...yeah you are right. Whoever said the groom doesn't get nervous before a wedding was dead wrong."
"Eh, don't see the big hype about marriage. Amoura and I pretty much agree that we'll never get married. So, you'll have to make a lot of kids to make up for a lack on our part." Argus patted Michael on the back, faced him towards the door and literally pushed him into the room where the others were seated. It was necessary for the groom to stand by the altar to watch the bride walk down the aisle. Argus didn't follow; he was going to hand Sazan over to Michael unless she changes her mind.
---
"He's nervous isn't he?"
Argus gave Amoura a look that easily answered her question and he stood off at the side since there was easily another fifteen minutes before it'll start.
"Why couldn't I just wear a nice suit meant for a woman?"
"Because it's custom for a woman to wear a dress at a wedding. It will only be for a few hours and all attention will be on the bride." Argus smiled at Sazan, "And rightfully so."
"Are you hitting on my future sister-in-law?"
"I'm stating the obvious. By the way, you look amazing in that dress. You should wear them more often and stop being such a tomboy."
Amoura would have flipped him off if they weren't on holy ground.

Miracle honestly couldn't remember the last time she performed an actual wedding. Everything has been so dark of late that this was the first actual ray of sunshine in months. Her trusty King James bible in hand Miracle made her way down the aisle and up to the altar prior to Michael's arrival. The young High Priestess looked over to the groom once he arrived and could tell from the look on his face that he was getting cold feet. Something that was common among grooms, and a couple of brides if memory served her correctly. She leaned over to his direction and whispered.
"You feeling nervous?"

Solomon would bite his tongue and carry on with his duty even though he strongly opposed these proceedings. The union of a vampire and a half was anything but holy and therefore undeserving of being performed by the altar underneath the eyes of their LORD but Miracle's world was final. His job was to guard the temple during these proceedings and make sure everything went smoothly. When he asked why he was chosen for this task after his expressed feelings on the wedding Miracle simply told him he was the best man for the job and she trusted that his personal feelings would never get in the way of his duty. And up until now it hasn't.
Solomon was now in the sanctuary at the far right of the room next to the front pews, his eyes scanning the sanctuary as it was slowly starting to fill up with the wedding guests. There were still plenty of time left before the actual wedding took place. If nothing else Solomon could enjoy Miracle's performance as she always had something special reserved for each couple she married, believing every single union to be unique in their own way and nobody in the temple could argue that this couple wasn't unique.

"You know what the difference is between us and the tailor's mannequins, gentlemen?"
Striding down the central aisle with a spring in his step that told of a rare contentment, Sparda patted down his slicked-back hair and smiled warmly at the groom-to-be. He had elected to assist Solomon's security detail - much to the knight's chagrin - giving the temple and its vicinity a quick sweep before returning to the ceremony to take his place at the side of the altar. His monocle went forgone for this occasion, as did the hat that had come with his tailored suit.
As he approached the altar to stand next to Argus, he smiled again.
"We make these suits look good."

Amoura wasn't the only one unhappy about wearing a dress to the wedding. Bridesmaid dress was meant to look back by design when compared to wedding gowns as to not take any attention away from the bride, but these dresses looked like they were just design to look back no matter what you compared them to. Zira still didn't understand why she couldn't wear what she always wore. It was just fine attire and it made her look good no matter what the situation. Tradition? More like tradicrap! The Firebird joined up with the others in Sazan's room, looking over to a just as equally unhappy Amoura and then to Argus. She was still getting used to Amoura's male counterpart, a fact she had to constantly remind herself. Why did he have to be so good looking? No, bad thoughts. Bad! He was technically her brother.
"Will either of you two do me a favor and kill me when this is over?"
Zira only spoke loud enough for Amoura and Argus to hear her, not wanting to provoke the rage of Bridezilla so close to the actual wedding ceremony.

Sazan smiled at the compliment by Argus, feeling a small blush start to consume her cheeks right when Zira entered the room dressed in her bridesmaid dress. The Hybrid started to tear up, sitting up from her seat and walking over to The Firebird to admire the way she looked.
“You look wonderful!”
Sazan then reached out and grabbed Amoura so she could put the sisters together.
“You both look wonderful.”
After admiring the sisters were over Sazan walked over to Argus and grabbed the arm she would be holding onto for her walk down the aisle that was coming up soon.
“Thank you for agreeing to walk me down the aisle. It was either you or Sparda and I didn’t want to give him double duty at the wedding.”
Sazan looked back to her bridesmaids.
“Just one more left to arrive.”

"If it's any consolation, Zira, if I cared about intimacy of any kind I'd probably go beyond my limit after seeing you in that." Argus gave her a coy smile--now he was acting like the troublesome older brother that liked to raise hell in the most inappropriate manner. At this, Amoura shot him a venomous glare.
"You sick fuck. You into incest?"
"No. And if I was into you and we did anything it could easily be dubbed masturbation."
"I can't hear you! Lalalalala!" Amoura covered her ears and Argus just chuckled at Amoura's response. While both didn't like the idea, Argus was more willing to joke about it than Amoura. That topic aside, Argus led Sazan closer to the door away from the sisters who were probably planning his not-so-pleasant demise.
"Of course, Sazan," Argus bowed his head to the bride-to-be, "technically you will be my sister-in-law as well. It's an honor to walk family down the aisle."
With Argus and Sazan busy talking, Amoura made eye contact with her sibling and replied to her, "We're doing this for Sazan but since both of us are going through hell in a handbasket, I vote we make a suicide pact and go through with it once it's over." The Night Angel glared knives at Argus' back, "He goes first." ---
"Nervous? Why nervous? I couldn't possibly be nervous about this. Are you nervous about this? No, so I'm not either." Michael was beginning to break out in a sweat on his brow but aside from that, was able to keep his composure enough. "I just hope nothing bad happens. I know Sazan won't suddenly say 'no', I won't say 'no' and--I'm just going to be quiet." Alright, not enough composure it seems.

Chloe was the only bridesmaid not freaking out over the idea of wearing a dress where everyone can see her, being the far more feminine one of the group but still very surprised that she was chosen by Sazan as one of her bridesmaid, even if it was just a last minute replacement. The vampiress made sure she looked presentable before leaving the restroom and heading for the bride's room, feeling as if she could spontaneously combust at any given second for being in the Lord's house of all places. She really didn't feel right about being in a church considering what she was but if the majority didn't have a problem with it then neither should she right? Right? Chloe joined with the others in Sazan's room and performed a slow little spin to show off herself in the dress. "How do I look?" Even though her question was directed at everyone in the room, her eyes were on Argus hoping to get positive feedback from the only male.

Miracle covered a hand over her mouth and released a small giggle towards Michael. It was cute how nervous he was getting so close to the big moment, the joining of man and wife. Something the High Priestess never got tired of seeing or marrying. She wished them nothing but the best of happiness while they lead their new lives in Hallowton.
"It's just a little cold feet, relax. The moment your wife-to-be walks down that aisle everything will be just fine."
Miracle hugged her bible close to her and imagined the day where she would walk down that very same aisle in her wedding dress, her father giving her away to the man she was to be married to and then go on their honeymoon. The fairytale wedding, it was the dream of every little girl. One she took great pleasure in assisting in for others.

"Of course. Yeah, yeah once she walks down the aisle my head will clear out and my tongue will--wait. No, no that was coming out wrong. Argh." Michael looked down at his dress shoes, "This is ridiculous. I shouldn't be this nervous about getting married to the woman of my dreams who's unlike anyone else I've ever met and--I'm rambling again." The Crow couldn't believe how fried his nerves were. He'd rather face an army of demons unleashed from hell than to endure this feeling.
---
"My, my. You look stunning, Chloe."
"'My, my. You look stunning, Chloe'." Amoura repeated, mocking him in the most annoying tone she could possibly do.
"Now, now, Amoura. Don't get jealous." Argus looked over his shoulder and grinned at his "sibling". They had decided it would be best to label each other as twins rather than alternate versions, "I didn't know you were into incest."
"You. Son of a. Bitch." Amoura grasped the bouquet she held almost too tightly.
"You're right. It would be masturbation, all things considered but we won't discuss this in front of our gorgeous sister-to-be."
Amoura's left eye twitched repeatedly and a vein began to bulge in her temple. "Why is it that you can joke about this subject and I can't?"
"Easy. I'm not so tense and learned to enjoy life along with the crude jokes that come with it. Better get used to it, sis." Argus faced the door with Sazan and whispered to her, "Your big moment is coming up. You ready?"

Chloe would make a mental note to dress up more often. She couldn't help but grin at the little back and forth between siblings and join in. It was amazing how two people, who were technically the same exact person, could be so different from one another. The circumstances which surrounded your life really must have made all the difference. Chloe had to say she liked Argus' take on life a bit better, far more positive compared to is female counterpart. "Don't worry, Amoura. I would never dream of getting in-between family." Yeah she went there. She totally just went there, trying to see how much worse that vein can get before it pops. As the hour approached Chloe headed out of the room, knowing that it was custom for the bridesmaid to come out first before the bride. She couldn't help but feel somewhat envious that Sazan got to walk down the aisle with Argus but that was a ridiculous notion so she casually dismiss it now standing across from the groomsmen, waiting on the others.

Sazan lifted the veil over her head, it wouldn’t be removed again until it came time for her first kiss with Michael as man and wife. This would be one moment that nothing and nobody could ruin, Sazan would see to that herself. Folding her arm around Argus’ she nodded in response.
“Yes I am…. and if you make anymore sex related jokes you’ll be eating at the reception through a straw.”
After those words The Hybrid smiled and the Wedding Band March could be heard sounding out from within the sanctuary as Sazan followed the music to the sanctuary with Argus by her side, the people at attendance all standing up at the sight of her and while everyone was looking at her….
She was looking at Michael.

How quickly time passed while one was having fun, already the wedding band march was beginning to play after Amoura and Zira came out to stand where Sazan soon would. Violet eyes looking down at the end of the aisle with everyone else as she made her way to Michael and them. Miracle smiled, finding the bride to be beautiful and happy to see that some traditions (the veil over the face) hasn't died out completely. Waiting for the two to be close the High Priestess would finally speak, keeping with tradition:
"Who gives this woman to be married to this man?"

"I don't care about that. I just wish he'd stop being such a–" Wait, it was getting quiet in the chapel which means the wedding march will soon begin. When she further focused her senses into the room, ignoring the breathing and hammering hearts, the familiar sound of a piano chair creaking was a sign that it will begin in less than a few seconds. Amoura grabbed Zira's arm, raised a finger to her lips and gestured towards the door that led to the altar. It was best to leave the room quietly. With the message given, her fingers slipped from her sister and she swiftly walked in, standing next to Chloe. It was taking all her will power to not run out of the room then and there; her entire face was tomato red when she felt eyes resting on her. This was pure torture but as the Maid of Honor, she had to endure it.
The job as the Maid of Honor was difficult and it amazed herself that she could get all of that work done with all the investigations she had going. Maybe tonight at the reception she can unwind a little...
---
"Alright, here we go." Argus patted Sazan's hand, smiled and the doors swung open. Everyone stood and he escorted her down the aisle decorated with white roses, silken sashes and adorned candles. The church was breathtaking for this event. The crystals were aglow and the light of the candles emphasized the beauty of this holy place.
"Who gives this woman to be married to this man?"
"I do." Argus took Sazan's hand, led her to Michael and joined their hands. The hybrid patted Michael's shoulder and stood at the side to watch it all take place.
---
The music was playing! It was starting! Michael swallowed, tugged at his collar and stood tall despite his nervous state. Yet, the moment those doors opened, he looked like he was lost in a dream at the sight of his future wife. Nothing else existed but this joyous moment with her and their union. The vampire took Sazan's hand and faced Miracle.
