How about dream cast? It was the last sega console, so it might be new, but technically it is a sega current system becasue they never released another.

Glad to see the ps3 finally getting its due on a forum for a change. Microsoft Xbox and Microsoft Xbox 360 are so grossly overrated that I can't help but laugh with glee at how the fanboys masturbate to its very existence. The ps3 is heads over heels the superior console and I'd sooner buy a NINTENDO WII to that piece of shit. Although the PC is better than all three of them combined. I usually don't compare my video game consoles to the PC but since nowadays they're trying so hard to be a computer I like reminding them of the fact. lolwat? How is the Xbox overrated? Both systems have their fanboys that argue constantly about which is the superior system and I'm sure Nintendo has their fair share of fanboyism too, albeit I don't see that many for the Wii at present. I guess you could say he's an Alu CARD? ;D I honestly voted for the wii, I like the wii, it's awesome Well, I'm actually surprised the PS3 is getting so many votes. after all...

Despite a glitchy online play, losing a lot of their better exclusives to Microsoft and having a ridiculous launch price that wasn't worth coughing up the extra dough with or without blu ray, I still find the PlayStation 3 to be the most enjoyable of the three. Compared to the PC, ps3 and even the WII, the 360 is greatly underfeatured. 500,000 people were surveyed, and 42% of 360s had to be replaced. 55% of those people had to have it replaced more than once. The gameplay and graphics aren't anything impressive either, the ps3 again blows them out of the water but most Xbox players would have you believe it's much superior when anyone with eyes and half a brain would see otherwise. Xbox Live is also glitchy and shouldn't cost money to play. The fact people will actually pay for it just goes to show how dumb some people are. Add Microsoft ever so terrible support with all their products and you have the final nail in the coffin of the 360 of why it's the inferior of the three.

Gameplay and graphics are completely subjective though. I honestly can't see that much of a difference between the games I play on the 360 and the ps3. Sure, the ps3 and Wii graphics are better but graphics don't make or break a game. Just look at Final Fantasy XIII. Also I don't know what Xbox Online you've been playing but I personally had no trouble with it. It's usually PlayStation Online that I get the trouble on which is probably why they're smart enough not to charge a fee otherwise no one would play it.

>Implying that graphics are everything in video games.fanboy's gunna fanboy I guess. Please read my post again. Nowhere do I imply that graphics are everything in a video game. You'll notice that I mentioned GAMEPLAY as well, which is actually the first aspect of a game I look at. Compared to the PC, ps3 and even the WII, the 360 is greatly underfeatured. 500,000 people were surveyed, and 42% of 360s had to be replaced. 55% of those people had to have it replaced more than once. You realize your source list a decrease in the 360's fail rate over the past three years, correct? Yes. You realize that even at their lowest fatality rate it's still higher than the other two systems listed? What does that tell you? Next you're going to tell me Mass Effect 2 gameplay and graphics weren't an improvement from Mass Effect 1.

You realize your source list a decrease in the 360's fail rate over the past three years, correct? Yes. You realize that even at their lowest fatality rate it's still higher than the other two systems listed? What does that tell you? That when you shoot yourself in the foot you're more concerned with the caliber than being shot in the foot. Let look at the statistics you posted in this thread yourself. Microsoft started out with a 57% fatality rate in 2009 for the 360, brought that down to a 42.2% in 2010 and finally to a 18.4% fatality rate. Your own source that you posted trying to make the 360 look bad has shown a sufficient improvement in the past three years and all you can think about is that in 2009 its fatality rate was over 50%. No one here has said that the 360 is perfect, it has its flaws but so does the others because humanity has yet to come out with a product that is 100% flawless and I doubt we will anytime soon. Now if you want to talk shit about the Xbox and Microsoft be my guest but don't act like what you're saying is 100% fact.

Subjective? Next you're going to tell me Mass Effect 2 gameplay and graphics weren't an improvement from Mass Effect 1. We're not talking about a sequel being an improvement upon its predecessor. We're talking about two gaming systems that were released a year apart, in competition, being better than the other in terms of what it can do and I would say the 360 has the ps3 beats in some aspects and vice versa.

PlayStation 3. I like the look and feel of it better than the other two, I like the free online play and I prefer most of the exclusives it has over the others. At the end of the day though it all depends on what you're looking for as a gamer to determine which is right for you and the PS3 meets most of my needs.

Xbox 360. I am not a fan of the PS3 because it just doesn't offer anything that I would be interested in. It doesn't have the same consistent backward capability as the PS2 has. It cost too much and it has blu ray, which I don't care about and the people who do care about blu ray probably already have a blu ray player in their home. The PlayStation Network is so broken you'll get your account hacked and all your personal information stolen so it's a security risk and I would rather pay for Xbox Live where I at least know my personal info is safe.

360. Honestly it's just because theres nothing interesting on the other consoles. Every time I go to play Wii I remember the only thing they have is Cavestory and Zelda. PS3 is honestly the worst console of the three IMO. At least the Wii and 360 are backwards compatible if I want to play Xbox or Gamecube games.
The PS3 on the other hand. I have one. I've maybe played it 3 times in a year. It just....doesn't have anything. The lack of being able to play PS2 or PS1 games is also a downer. It means I had to keep my PS2, which I use more then it, which is a shame cause I expected better titles from Sony. Maybe when KH3 finally hits stores I'll finally see a decent exclusive to buy, but even then it's really just not worth the money.
On the other hand I'm usually doing something on my PC anyway. I prefer the Xbox's Online to PS3. The only think I use my PS3 for is buying PSP games. Thats it. So for those reasons by default that only leaves the 360 from these. Graphics really don't matter to me in a game. Heck. I still get out Ocarina of Time and beat it from time to time on the N64. It isn't about Graphics, it's about Gameplay. Which I feel it does a better job at. Of course this is all just my opinion.

I never understood the big deal with backward capability if I'm to be completely honest. I don't think we can expect companies to keep going backward whenever they make something new so what exactly is the problem with keeping your ps1 and/or ps2 to play those games? I don't see why the ps3 has to cater to that, which only makes it more stupid that they have a model that does have backward capability and then another model that doesn't.
