Pain. It ached through his body and caused a silent groan to part his lips as he moved. He felt something soft against his back as a sweet fragrance reached his nostrils. Ayen slowly opened his eyes and was soon blinded by a bright light that entered through the ceiling above. Quickly bringing his right arm up to shield his eyes from the light as he sat up during another groan. After sitting up he saw an altar directly in front of him and looked around to his right to find that he was in a broken down looking church. Far removed from a vessel in the middle of the ocean.
Laying underneath him was a small garden of flowers that grew in front of the altar. Strange. There was a lot of places he'd imagine would be ideal to grow flowers in. Inside a church wasn't one of them. It was obvious this wasn't the Holy Temple of Aircano but if no that, then what? He was beginning to get worried. What if this world had merged with another forever separating him from Yuna and Hotaru? What if MJ took advantage of that to do something to Yuna? This wasn't good. He couldn't live not knowing what happened to the others. He couldn't live never being able to see his home again no matter how pretty the flowers in this new world was.
“Where the hell am I!?”

Had Ayen looked to his left he would have seen a female with long brown hair, green eyes and a pink ribbon in her hair. Wearing a darker pink jacket over a bright pink dress as she tended to the damage of the flower bed after the male's fall. Waiting for him to awaken before turning her head over to him. "Oh. You're awake."Her voice was kind and sweet, like an angel. The bright light pouring down from the open hole in the ceiling radiated off of her, increasing the angelic appearance even further as she got up to her feet and stood over him, a smile on her face while enchanting green eyes looked down towards the blonde male. "How are you feeling?"

"Oh. You're awake."
Ayen turned his head at the sound of the woman's voice and saw Aerith standing over him with the light from above shinning on her head. It was in that instance that Ayen swallowed down a large gulp and feared the worse. Was he dead? But how? Why? One minute he was on a ship and the next he just passed away? How was that even possible? Before he could say anything however Aerith spoke again.
"How are you feeling?"
“I'm not sure... Am I dead?”

How strange. The last person to fall through the roof above had thought the same thing. That he was dead and she was an angel. He was much younger than he, and appeared to have even less idea of where he was than the last. Aerith could only assume the boy had experienced a nasty fall. "Not quite. You fell from the sky."Aerith pointed up to the hole in the ceiling where the light shinned through against the flower bed. That strange sense of deja vu washing over her as she explained things all over again. Who would have guessed that something like this could ever happen again? It made the Flower Girl wonder if it was a sign. "The flowers broke your fall."

"Not quite. You fell from the sky."
“The sky?”
Ayen looked up, still struggling to see past the light. But what he did see was a human size hole in the ceiling above. Did he create that? Ayen didn't understand how he could have been put in any position to fall, on a ship or otherwise. He didn't even remember passing out and his flight ability made it rather hard for him to submit to gravity like ordinary individuals would when pushed off a cliff or whatever. The only logical conclusion that remained was this being all a dream.
"The flowers broke your fall."
“Flowers... Right...”
Thinking this a mere fantasy Ayen made himself comfortable on the flowerbed and beckoned for Aerith to take a seat next to him.
“Why don't you have a seat and I can show my appreciation for the flowers.”

Aerith blinked at the man, unsure what he was insinuating with such an invitation but she didn't like it. The Flower Girl took a step back from Ayen making sure she had plenty of room to move and use her staff if he tried anything. The last one never said such a thing, though he had wanted to repay her kindness with a date. This one seemed to be pointing at something else entirely. "I would much prefer it if you got off the flowers."

"I would much prefer it if you got off the flowers."
Ayen shrugged, allowing himself to go through the motions at this point as he stood up from the flower patch. Looking over the woman in front of him, being reminded of Yuna mostly. That was probably where the inspiration for such a beauty came from in his mind. Though he didn't understand why he didn't simply dream up Yuna. Oh well, no sense questioning it. Dreams weren't meant to made sense. Ayen approached her and brought his hands up towards her cheeks as he moved in to kiss her.

Aerith watched Ayen. Not liking the way he was looking at her. When his hands came to touch her cheeks and lips closed in for hers it only confirmed what she was thinking. Another foolish boy! Aerith's eyes narrowed over him and she responded with a knee directly to the groin to stop his advances before taking another step back away from him. "I think you should leave."

Ayen gasped, instinctively reaching down for his groin as the pain slipped through and he backed away from Aerith in turn. Disbelief that she had just hit him there but most of all it snapped him right back to reality. He wasn't sure from before but now he was positive. This wasn't a dream. It was reality. He was lost with no idea where he was and he just made a complete and utter fool of himself in front of someone only trying to help. Ayen had to find a way to rectify this. His groin would heal in time.
"I think you should leave."
“Wait, no. Please! Let me explain.”
Ayen wished he had some ice available but he was just going to have to power through it. Meanwhile keeping his distance in case Aerith felt the need to defend himself further by kneeing something else. He didn't need any more pain right now.
“I-I thought I was dreaming, okay? Honest.”

"Dreaming?"Aerith placed a hand on her hip and shifted weight from one foot to the other while slightly tilting her head. There was a lot of creeps one could find crawling around the slums of Midgar. You had to be careful when out on your own no matter who you were. The Flower Girl still didn't know what to make of this boy. He seemed genuine enough but that attempted kiss out of nowhere wasn't something to be ignored. "What made you think you were dreaming?"

"Dreaming?"
Ayen nodded. Still feeling the after effects of that shot to the groin but it was starting to fade as the seconds went by. Telling by that stance she was displeased with him, and rightfully so. Ayen couldn't fault her for reacting in the matter she did, he probably would have done something similar in her shoes. Hopefully he could convince her that he was telling the truth.
"What made you think you were dreaming?"
“Because the last thing I remember I'm on a ship's lower deck going to sleep and the next, I'm laying on somebody's flowerbed in a church. Not exactly an everyday transcension for me.”

"A ship?"Aerith looked back up into the sky. Remembering what she was told about airships that could travel through the sky. It was possible, she guess, that something could have happen to cause him to fall through the lower deck and to the bottom of the ship leading to her flower patch. It obviously doesn't sound like something that would happen often, hence Ayen's confusion on the matter. "From the sky?"

"A ship?"
Ayen nodded.
"From the sky?"
“No. The ship was on water that's why I was confused upon waking up and hearing I fell from the sky. It just doesn't make any sense.”
It seemed she was pass the fact he had just tried to kiss her. Good. The less time he spent on that the faster he could find out what he needed to know about this place.
“Where are we exactly?”

This explained the confusion on his part, and why he thought it was a dream before. Though it didn't excuse his gutter-mind. Just because it was a dream didn't mean it was that kind of dream. "Sector five slums, Midgar."Aerith observed his facial expression after she told him. It was time to see just how foreign this person was.

"Sector five slums, Midgar."
“Midgar?”
Ayen was familiar with sectors. Isafaro had twelve of them but he never heard of a city called Midgar. In Jherra, Elim or any of the other continents he knew about from school. This was bad. It was becoming more and more likely that he has been plunged into another dimension altogether. If that was the case then only the tower could get him back but there was no guarantee of that happening. Nobody even knew how to work the damn thing. Though he was all but certain Ayen wanted to hear it from the Flower Girl's lips.
“This is going to sound like a strange question but I need to know, this planet... What is it called?”
